Collaboraction Theater Company is an innovative Chicago theater group working exclusively to fight systemic racism and promote social change. I attended their MLK slam and related plays at Kennedy King College and really enjoyed it: Their performances were surprisingly nuanced and thoughtful yet powerful, not just black and white. They deserve to be better known. Addressing these issues through art, and providing young actors, playwrights and artists a crucial outlet (their MLK slam involved about 70 people), is also extremely beneficial to them and the Chicago theater community. Im excited to see how their work evolves.
The space was excellent for Starlight Radio Dreams recent show. The seats are comfy and new, the stage space looked great and the show was so much fun to do there. The A/C was not up to the challenge, sadly. The space was about 80 degrees during the show. It was an improvement from outside where it was in the high nineties all day but still uncomfortable.
Collaboraction was the perfect venue for my recent daughter’s wedding. In addition, Manny’s hard work and attention to detail topped off the event. It was a magical and beautiful evening. Thank you!
Intimate theatre in a charming old building - great experience!
Community theater with extremely woke approach!
Hilarious show: we still love you
This building could use some better signage but the theatre I was in was lovely, cool and I was happy to be there once I found it.
Convenient to multiple kinds of public transit. Its confusing to get to the correct space unless youve been before - needs more and more effective signage!
Awesome venue! Very cozy and fun atmosphere!
