Loved the pool games only being $1.50 per table! We went on a weeknight so wasnt hard to find a pool table so not sure how it is on the weekend. Great drinks. Staff is very friendly and engaging. Hubby and I enjoyed our time here and admired the wall art.

Let me say this about that....I was back in Chicago for work and doing the tourist thing. I had great pizza, went to Jacks Pop up Pumpkin and the Improv. Since it was Fall back and I got to enjoy an extra hour, I went walking down Milwaukee. Unfortunately, my paper bag (save the Earth) of souvenir crowlers busted open & I found myself carrying them along w the associated pint glasses. Tried to get into Nicks Biergarten, only to be told twice, no way, get outta here w those, even AFTER explaining the obvious. Walked just up the road to the welcoming arms of The Flat Iron staff (thank you tremendously Tom) who not only saw the situation for what it was, but provided a new carrying satchel and excellent environment. HIGHLY recommend for those desiring a laid back & enjoyable experience. Shot pool, drank cold drafts at great prices & meet cool people. Thank you for being reasonable people!!

This is a divey joint with a metal feel. The staff are characters and great for a chin wag. Happy hour specials and shots of the day will get you lit if that is or is not your goal.

Nice, dark semi-dive atmosphere that compares nicely to spiritual brethren like Crown Liquors or the Revel Room. Two bars, pool tables and a great deal of space that I couldnt find at the last two bars I deemed as way too crowded. Decent selection of music on as well.

Used to recommend this place but the last couple times have left a really bad impression. Last time I went I didn’t notice anyone standing at the door to ID so I just walked in, and was followed by a young man who had been smoking outside yelling “come back, we have to ID you! Haven’t you been to a bar before??” Uh, what!? Maybe they should be standing by the door to see who is entering the establishment? And then there was attitude about paying with card instead of cash from the bartenders which was never a problem before. Just really weird.

They have 3 pool tables (all 8-foot). That is nice. The floors that slope in every direction are NOT nice for playing pool (for me, anyway). The people are decent, as are the staff. Most of the pool players are more arrogant than their talent should allow, but with 3 tables, at least you have options. Theres usually a wait on all tables, and on weekends it just gets crazy. Prices are what you would expect for the area. Theyre open till 4 am, so I go to shoot pool after my 2 am spots close. DONT PARK ON MILWAUKEE — YOUR CAR WILL BE TOWED! I PROMISE YOU.

Used to love this bar until I was penalized for being a designated driver. Bartender tried to charge me $6 for 2 waters then proceeded to cop an attitude and say well, like, I cant just be serving you a million a free waters all night. Waters that I was still tipping on mind you. Gross.I also had to point out to her that she charged us for more beers than my friend actually ordered. Dont start a tab here unless youre ready to argue your bill.

Little grungy, little dark...think sticky floors, not that they necessarily have them, but thats the vibe. Pretty chill on the weeknights. Can get busy on the weekends (its pretty good at accommodating groups (its decently big) with its two bars (one in back, one in front). What I come here for are the pool tables. Theyve got 3. They also have skee ball and pinball machines...and maybe even darts.

Me and my husband was racially profiled while playing pool with two white ladies that were drunk. She was loud and yelling but the security came to me and I had to enlighten him on the situation. I asked him did you speak with her or do you see how she is acting. I calmly responded continued to play pool with the ladies. Although I was approached by different individuals saying I handled it well and I did nothing wrong because the lady was overly drunk and me and my husband was just trying to play pool. I did like the environment and the place, but I think things could have been handled differently because color doesnt change that we were both women and when somebody else is the aggressor I felt let down by the establishment approach.

Cool place and big space. Service was great and it was perfect since most bars around the block gad long lines. I mean all i want is to drink and have a good time rather than wait long periods of times just to obtain the same drink at a different bar. Will definitely go back if Im around the Neighborhood.

Have been here a few times all of which are great. They have 3 pool tables with chalk boards to call next game. I think its $1.50 per game, which is higher than average but still less expensive than other pool halls who charge hourly. This place does get packed Sat nights! You might have a hard time finding a table. Has 2 bars. Bathrooms are small. Also, bouncers ready to bounce anyone who has had too much. Great vibe from the people and music. I see myself coming back here!

Only dive in Chicago that serves up Ski Ball, Pool and Shuffleboard that I know of. Reliable craft draft list and prices. Could have been awesome!!! Layout and game availability is great. Nice traditional sports bar atmosphere. Walked in sober and waited for our first drink and apparently stood in the wrong spot at the bar as an employee wearing a Cabrera 24 jersey walked up and said to the bar tender over our shoulder we need a f**king sign that says mother f**keys shouldnt stand here either thinking we couldnt hear or as a passive aggressive way of making us move. What an unpleasant way to start the night!

They play R&B during the week sometimes lol. 5 Stars

I go to a lot of concerts, so Im used to loud places, but this bar was just way too noisy. The music was at a level that my friend and I, who were sitting right next to each other, couldnt hear each other even though we were basically yelling. I like alternative spaces that dont cater to the typical crowd, but I still want to be able to socialize while listening to Pantera.
