I used to love coming here for a great movie experience, the only thing is AMC Ford City 14 is starting to show its age and needs a serious refresh. The seats were stained and floors sticky. This used to be my favorite theater to come to but Ill stick to the Sherman Oaks AMC Ford City 14 for now until this one gets a face lift.

We went to this location to watch a screener for the movie The Girl and the Spiders Web. The movie theater is located in the rear of the mall which is good because its not crowded. The inside is very spacious. The staff there was also very helpful and professional. Now for some of the negatives: The inside appeared to be a little outdated. The carpet looked dingy and the bathroom was unkempt. Many of the recliner chairs were dirty and it appeared that someone walked in mud and smeared their muddy shoes on the seats. The employees were great but the movie theater needs to be remodeled.

AMC Ford City was very clean and relaxing. I enjoyed the atmosphere. There is no hot food right now, but plenty of popcorn! Good Vibes️

Adapted well for covid. Everybody can take wipes as they desire to clean their seats. Hand sanitizer everywhere. Not too crowded either

Too high prices for soda pop, pocorn , hot dogs, pretzel. Staff never around. And show old movies during a virus. Please lower prices for movie tickets and food and beverages.

Rented the theater out for a special showing only 20 people were allowed in the theatre and it was an awesome time. Concessions were open and staff was friendly.

First time going here and have nothing bur good things to say...only wish they would make it a 3 drink minimum instead of 2.

I seen The New Mutants, very worth it. Make sure you are an AMC Stubs member. The process is so much easier.

I enjoyed watching Tenet. Glad to see the theater is taking the pandemic seriously and enforcing masks and social distancing within the theater itself.

Renovated and looks cleaner than before. Our family enjoys the movies. Buy the tickets before so you wont have to wait in those long lines.

The chairs, if not broken, are very comfortable. The location is good, with ample parking. The biggest problem is when customers have no sense of etiquette, come to watch a movie and talk throughout the movie.

This theater has changed a lot! This place used to be one of the worst movie theaters in Chicago, but theyve changed it around. The theaters are spacious and comfortable. The concession lines move pretty quickly, plus they have a decent selection of food to choose from.

First time going to the movies since the world shut down in March. Very clean and spread out.

There needs to be a better way to get seated. I bought 6 seats online, all in the same row for my children and I to see Sonic. When we got there someone was in our seats and unwilling to move. To keep it civil in a kids movie I just found seats (someone elses seats) where I could still keep an eye on my children.

Been coming here since I was like maybe 5 years old, it has changed for the better, with reclining chairs and adding a bar, I always recommend buying tickets ahead, especially when big movies come out. They do offer discounts for veterans and senior citizens. They also have memberships for if you a true movie junkie to save more on tickets, snacks and drinks too, even get free movie passes. My only complain that they removed the arcade machines.

The place was okay. Im tired of the awards people always being taken first. They should have their own line with one person and at least 2 people serving everyone else without a rewards card so the line keeps moving faster. This is for EVERY AMC!!!

This is a large accommodating multi screen movie theater all of that is as good as it should be.My problems started with the self serve condiments..., no salt for my popcorn & most of the butter machines were not working, the only thing out there in abundance was napkins, so, I wasnt happy with that. For the price of my matinee ticket the service should have been much better.Lastly and regrettably, no one was concerned after hearing many complaints from different people enough to do anything at all about replacing the condiments before I had to go into my screening room where I then was surprised to find many of the seats were broken or damaged in some way also. After moving three times, finally found a place to sit near where I had selected before coming in t the ticket box... which in hindsight seems pointless... an I had eat my popcorn as it was, not fun for a $10.oo bucket

This place is smaller than other AMC theaters, but its clean and nice for travelers flying into Midway and staying nearby. They have all the usual snacks but also serve dinner in some of the theaters, the seats recline and the staff is average, neither outstanding nor sub-par. Theres probably nicer theaters further out into the suburbs. The immediate area kind of has an industrial feel to it, and theres a dying mall right across from the theater; but is it necessary to go farther away just to sit in a newer building? No, AMC Ford City gets the job done without making you feel like youre sitting in the ghetto.

Good place We have to trust each other. We have to have faith. I just want you to be happy again.

Ive started going back to this place ever since they brought in the comfortable chairs. Friendly staff and always stocked.

I tend to gravitate more towards this particular AMC Theater because their show rooms are still holding up and to me they are the most presentable ones. Im glad they went with a bar for those who can enjoy an alcoholic beverage before their movie. As far as the picture and sound of their movies, definitely another thumbs up here. I have not had a bad experience at this theater yet and I have been coming here for years. Employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend that you download their app and become a member of either the Premier or A List. If you go to the movies often, both these memberships just give you soo much back and will make your visits a lot more speedy and rewarding. Its all about the convenience and how quick and easy things are done for the consumer so yeah, its worth it. Good job AMC.

Staff was very friendly but the actual movie seats were really dirty and I had to clean them off myself with napkins. Other than that it was a pleasant experience 3/5 stars for now.

Great place to catch a movie!

Took my children to see the movie, Harriet here. The theater was clean and the seats were comfortable. I like that we were able to choose our seats at the time of purchase.The only drawback was actually finding the cinema. We drove around Ford City for a while before we found the building. We wasted valuable time that we could have used for snacks. We even used Waze but was taken to the wrong building.

I went to the movie with my grandson and his mother to see Toy Story 4 on Thursday, July 18 at 8:40pm showing. I noticed when we sat down it was extremely humid, hot in the theater. I immediately asked for the manager (before the movie started) to please turn the air on it is very uncomfortable no air circulating. He stated it will be on as soon as the movie starts.An hour into the movie I get up go back to the desk and ask for the manager. He comes, very unconcerned as I stated to him it’s still hot, the air is not on. At that moment he says, “you are the only one complaining, the air conditioner is broke”.Here’s my issue: the manager had an opportunity to tell me before the movie started that the air conditioner was not working. Instead he lied and was unapologetic about it and offered me a pass if I wanted to leave. Really I spent approximately $75 for movie and food to be lied to. So unfair and poor customer service. My last visit at Ford City Theater

Probably now my favorite theatre in the area. Customer service was great and process was as expected. But when I sat in those seats, it was over.Most comfortable movie theater reclining seats Ive ever been in.

Went to see the new terminator movie. Was a awesome action pack filled movie. Theathers were all clean and comfortable seating, fresh popcorn, and foods were delicious. Great bar and drinks.

I love the comfortable reclining seats. I really enjoyed watching movies at this theater... very clean... friendly, polite staff, but the movie food and treats are overpriced. Overall, I had a great time.

Service and cleanliness were good. I noticed one seat that could use some upholstering but aside from that, everything else was good. Movie choices were excellent.The ticket agent that I encountered was a delight. I was having trouble choosing between 2 movies: A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD or HARRIET TUBMAN. When the agent told me that she enjoyed HARRIET TUBMAN so much that she plans to see it again, my choice was made.I thouroughly appreciated the movie. The majority of focus was on her courage and how her accomplishments were achieved as opposed to depraved slave owners.As for the rotten tomatoes review, the only ones that I can see assigning such a reiew are those whose idea of Making America Great Again is returning to that period of time and reversing accomplishments made against slavery & racism.

This place is great to go but plz don’t go to this one when a movie premieres! The bathrooms were disgusting their was toilet paper ALL OVER The floor it was so gross! i ordered a pretzel and it wasn’t even warm. Their was kids running and jumping around everywhere by the waiting are and the staff were just staring at them. It was just bad. I only go here anytime before 3 pm

All the years i have come here, i have never been asked to get in line for a refill for my popcorn. Disappointing..... Sorry i cant base this review off of one bad expirience. I do like the seating arrangements and love the popcorn.

Reservations online make it a lot easier, this theater is great if your not with immature people talking and interrupting. Overall it’s really good.

This theatre had nice comfortable and reclining seat. That was the only good thing about this theatre floor was slippery, popcorn was still (they did gave a fresh bag when went to the counter), the restroom had water on the floor and 10 minutes for the movie end the house light came on. When I went to speak the manger about the I got assistance manager said that was the person the stay the movie up and that seat the wrong timer on the movie. There was no sorry nor apology at all.

This is the most disgusting disrespectful movie theater I’ve ever attended. The manager Jarrel and the employees do not have any respect for the elderly once so ever! They threatened to kick my family and I out over a cup of water! (My grandmother can’t walk to the water fountain so we got a cup for her). Overall my experience was horrible. I will never go to ford city again. I would suggest going downtown or crestwood!

Many years ago this was one of the worst theaters in the area. Its been a long long time since Ive been here. Tonight I was pleasantly pleased with the upgrades.

We watched the movie harley Quinn and enjoy there food selection.

First time here! And this has been the first movie theater that ive been to, where the heaters are on full blast! Not cool at all. It was extremely warm.

Nice comfortable seating. Reserving your seat either online, at the kiosk, or ticket window is a must. The theatre is clean. The staff is polite and helpful. Restrooms are normally clean. Plenty of snack and movie treats are available -- over priced, of course. Beer and wine are also available. If there was a way to detect the talkers and phone users, this would be a five star theater.

I visited this theater because it was more convenient for me upon being in the area at my internship site which is in the Ford City area. I visited it to see the movie Avengers: Endgame, a movie that many die-hard Marvel Comics lovers like myself anticipated seeing since Avengers: Infinity War. Ok, now the first time I visited AMC Ford City 14, I ended up leaving due to it being congested because it put me several minutes into the movie I visited to see which was Captain Marvel. With that, I recommend arriving early, using the ticket machine or purchasing your ticket(s) online in order to avoid the herd trickling in.To coincide with a half-filled parking lot at Ford City Mall, AMC does have a nice sized parking lot of its own, which does get filled throughout the week. So, parking is far from an issue at this location, but bring your walking shoes in case you end up parking in the Ford City Mall lot once the AMC lot gets congested with vehicles.I did not get the chance to purchase from the concession because of there being a long line, but I did get the chance to look around prior to entering the assigned room of my movie. The cleanliness is typical to any other theater, but I do give AMC credit because with the amount of clientele it gets, the theater looks well kept.Once I entered, I located my seat which the alphabet letter is located along the wall and the number of the seat is located on the arm-rest. I loved the reclining chairs, even though I felt like a total geek playing with it while others where sitting relaxed. The chairs added lots of comfort and I do not even recall moving around in discomfort which most theater chairs are. With that, AMC Ford City 14 has won my heart, and I would gladly return.Thomas G

We bought tickets ahead of time and all the doors were locked. There were later movies, so they couldn’t have been closed. There was a girl at the front and SAW us trying to open the doors and just walked away.

This used to be a pretty average movie theater but a few years ago, they added so many amazing things like reclining chairs and a bomb bar. One thing I reccomend is a seat warmer since Ive seen some theaters have it.

Its improved during the past years, but theres still more time for more improvements. I easily sneaked In food through my bag. It couldve mind as well been an AK-47. Security is very weak.

Great seats and a lot of movie selections and times. I’m a stubs member, so I never wait long at confession stand. The only thing they need to work on is sweeping the whole place including the washrooms.

The service was excellent and the food and movie was great. I plan to come again.

My recent visit to Ford City AMC was pleasant. The staff were courteous and polite. The theater was clean and well managed.

This place has some great food. Surprisingly filling. The gyros are the best.

Im back!!! But wheres the 9pm showtimes?? AMC is very clean accommodating, Ford City has the BEST RECLINERS THAN THE OTHER AMCs (no middle hump like Crestwood) popcorn better than ever, ... BUT Ill have to go to Marcus Theater now for my 9pm showtimes

Its a pretty typical movie theater. 14 screens with mostly new releases, some have 3d, but not all. As with any theater snacks are ridiculously overpriced and dont even look at the bar. You can buy a six pack of mid level beer for less than a large beer.

Place has always been a bit iffy. Recliners are worn. Long lines for food. Seems weed friendly tho. Smells in every theater.

Staff is generally nice and. Helpful with questions, bathrooms are always disgusting. Popcorn is hit or miss sometimes it has a burnt smell to it but if you get it as it comes out then its good. The seats are hit or miss as well in regards to reclining.

Ford city Amc has come a long way from what it once was. from 2015 to present its gone in class.

I go here regularly to see a movie. This time I went to go see Spiderman. It was so good. The place was clean, I didnt get any hassles over anything only when they told me I couldnt bring any bags in there.

I love Movie theaters and you guys are one of my favorites, I love the reclining seats and all the snacks and they might be a bit pricey but honestly the amc app with the rewards helps a ton. I keep coming very often with friends and family. Happy customers over here.

I only have to say a couple things about this great amc theater. The popcorn and nachos are great. The seats ate incredibly comfortable which has caused me to fail asleep without really trying, and the last thing which is something personal but they have a charging station for electric cars.

I gave you the three the movies are great but the prices have skyrocketed especially just for a popcorn and a soda the not so theyre not the same nothings the same like it used to be and its very expensive but as I am a mother I have to take my kids to the movies and they love watching movies they love the theaters so thats why I give it at 3 just because of the prices and they dont have the nachos like they used to have they come in a little a little packet like the Lunchable packets would a couple of Tostitos chips and some nacho cheese thats about it theyre not the same at all the popcorn is still great but other than that everything else has changed! Greatly improved over the years. There was a time I wouldnt come here even if I was paid to do so. My only issue with the place is their entrance policy. You cant arrive early and wait inside. They ask you to leave until 30 minutes before your showing. I assume its just a method of keeping shenanigans to a minimum so its not a big deal.

Dont like the self serving condiment stands and they are too close to the rest rooms. Why?

Go there for the convenience. The seats are also some of the most comfortable out of the AMC chains. The issue is lack of food options, cleanliness is also high. Bathrooms are not kept up well & when I sat down in my seat, there was a ticket stub for a 2pm showing in my cupholder (my show was at 5pm). The corridor is a little cramped & disorganized. Also, there are usually staff members talking across the room, sometimes business, but also to complain about having a break or something else random.

The seats the room..omg..new favorite spot! I havent been here since they remodeled and boy did they! U can learn back in the chair to full bed status lol. About 4 feet of room in front of you with the chair all the way down. Lift the arm rest up to get your cuddle on. Get you some drinks from the bar..some food. Youre good to go.

Went to AMC movie. Guy was actually talking on his phone while the movie was playing. Behind me a woman talked thoughtout the entire movie. Seats was big and comfortable with reclining capabilities. Unfortunately mine did not work.

The seating and the movie it self was the only good thing about this place. The food was awful and overcooked

Love the recliner seats. They also have a bar and its definitely a good place to watch movies. Only problem is that it could be a little cleaner.

I really like the updated changes theyve made. I havent been in over twenty years so I was a bit hesitant about going to that location.
