Yeah! I know its in the hood! Its very nice good jazz ambiance, artwork on the walls .the food was good the wait staff was personable and thoughtful. So ho on and check it out. They have jazz brunch two Sundays a month ($25).

So now it all falls apart……Enough has to stop when it comes to poor customer service in the Black Community. I was referred to this venue from a friend/business owner. Even when I mentioned the strength of the referral, there were obvious concerns of the outcome.Instead of ending my event on a good note, I had to sit Angela (office manager/bartender…does she have a license to serve?) down and debrief. Then instead of receiving a thank you for your business text message. I received an insulting text message. She did credit my balance slightly, but I would have rather ended with a great experience and feeling what I paid for was worth it.2 days before the event, I am told that the table furniture that I requested per the contract is not available. This now changes the vision that I had for the event. I order specific lien to bring my vision together.Next, the day of the event, the chairs requested were not provided. Then I had mix matched chairs. Not even the ones I seen during the contract signing. Because of what the venue offered, I coordinated my color scheme to deliver a certain look. The layout that was submitted by my event planner was not even set up. My staff that had to arrange the tables (during paid set up time) when I actually paid the venue to provide this service.The staff of the venue started making plates and eating food prepared for my guest.The conditions of the male bathroom floors were so wet without a wet sign that the actual Guest of Honor fell hard on the concert floor and when we shared this with the office manager Angela, she said or did nothing.Angela was upset that she did not make much off the cash bar, but when you serve weak drinks and charge $5 for bud light, word gets around fast. Plus not being approachable plays a part. Then Angela accused my guest of stealing from her, but she was in the venue like a guard dog. Nothing got pass her.There is more to the story, but you decide for yourself. I like the space, but have my concerns with being mislead, dishonesty and lack of communication.

It was Blues Night! Really enjoyed it!

I cant went and was hooked from the moment I heard along with what I felt as I was there. I definitely will be coming back and will spread the word about this place.

The Quarry on the southeast side of Chicago w/Ken Davis was a good time w/good music, food, venue!

I gave the Quarry 5s x 2= 10. Its really a family like atmosphere with Great music and food. Plenty of other positive community Quarryems happing there all the time.

The receptionist Connie was very dismissive when i was asking for help . She was very quick to just transfer me . I called back and she wouldn’t answer . I had to call from my work phone so i could get for her to answer my call . This is so unprofessional. Parents rely on you guys . I never had to deal with this with the Anaheim elementary school district .

Nice place the music was good I ordered a glass of wine my friend ordered an Amaretto Sour. They were giving out complimentary bowls of soup. Maybe they need to do more advertising because it really wasnt that many people in there.

The Quarry is dynamic venue to hold any type of event from conference to bridal shower to repast to Political Forum to childs birthday party the list goes on. It has a parking lot security and a wonderful staff.It is fully special needs accessible and has an onsite full commercial kitchen.

We recently hosted a event at The Quarry Event Center.Using a reference point for my review here’s the definition of Quarry.A large, deep place where precious materials are extracted.The Quarry is a fabulous diamond in the ruff. The facility has the bones and structure to be a large place offering deep opportunities for local resident and the neighborhood.The great room has excellent acoustics for performances. The reception room has warmth and flow. Any professional chef would enjoy creating culinary art in the commercial kitchen. There are smaller meeting rooms and offices to accommodate various activities.Renovation plans are in the works. Community support, financial sponsorship, determination and elbow grease will get this gem to brilliantly sparkle revealing the diamond it is.

This is a fun spot to go out on Friday night to listen to live Jazz. I like the atmosphere the charm of the place is very appealing. The music is wonderful makes you want to jump up and dance. The staff is very friendly I think its a hidden gem on the south side. Please take time to check them out.

The Quarry is welcoming. The entertainment was great. The place was roomy and and lively. Diverse Healing Unlimited, LLC is comsideri doing an event there in February. It is a perfect place for people to enjoy. My husband and I will be going back there again and again. Susan and Daryl Parker.

Great atmoshere. Beautiful layout. Great staff who was personable and friendly yet business. I notice they are trying to reach out to the community and they want to reduce crime and develope talent in the surrounding area. They are very interested in sociol issues and they lease out their space for a reasonable price. They have a nice selection of talent that comes there to perform. I would go again

Awesome entertainmentSome of the staff members are very professio al though 2 in particular (two women) can use a course or two in customer service. I plan to never return to Quarry Event Center though Itruly enjoyed the jazz band.

It was a beautiful place, great food, fun and entertainment. Please dont sleep this place on the south east side of Chicago.

Excellent calm and cool place to Hear jazz or Blues

Mo Better Jazz has moved to The Quarry Event Center in South Shore. Chicago local jazz talent for a reasonable $10 cover charge. There is a buffet for $20 and drinks are reasonable priced too. I love the vegan gumbo and vegetarian greens with cornbread. There is parking across the street and great security so the area is safe.

They had a full bar, clean restrooms, plenty of room for seats, tables, dancing, DJ, etc. It was also a good location to organise parties.Thank You!!

Love the space and the vibe. Really laid back. Great $ too.

Everything was nice enjoyed myself

The music was awesome yet,the food service was subpar. My husband and I arrived at 6:30. When got there we were seated at a table with 4 women that had been there over an hour. Immediately I noticed the servers only going to one side of the room taking orders. As the ladies and I talked they mentioned no one had come to say we the short staffed(they were greatly)and someone will get to you or offered a glass of water before we got there. I was there an hour before they made it to our table,the ladies placed their orders and the we did. After 45minutes a young man came out to tell the they were short on food so,the ladies canceled their order. The server left the table the 4ladies start putting their coats on and I brlirve the director of the event came over and whispered something to them. 30 minutes after the ladies left,the same young man came back to the table to tell me that they were out of my main dish so I canceled my order as well. And no one said boo to us in an apology. When we got to the table as we were leaving the man that took out monies to get in asked did we enjoy the music and food. As we told him what happened he pointed out to us who to complain to and wouldnt you know it was a woman who had been watching all along. So I gave my visit 1 star because you cant post a comment without giving stars. 1 was too many stars and no I will not go back. For such an infamous place your peoples skills were terrible. I saw how one side of the room was lavished with attention because of who the people were,yet our table was completely ignored. And the spout support black business!
