We were here for the Nickelodeon Slime fest last month.Huge venue. I’m not sure why they don’t allow umbrellas and sunscreen in the facility but they don’t. So if you bring it you have to leave it outside and get it on your way out. They will sell ponchos on the inside for $10 each! And yes they are the ones that are $1 at the dollar store. Shocker right?Parking is a complete disaster!! Uber or get s ride to drop you off!!The seating was very easy to understand. Every seat seemed to be a good view of the stage. I’m not sure if the set up was exclusive to this event. But I recommend the standing section close to the stage. They had two huge monitors for viewing the acts as well.The food is RIDICULOUSLY OVER PRICED and you can’t bring anything into the park.

Does it get much better than a venue with the city skyline behind the stage? No. Could the drinks and food be a bit more reasonable? Absolutely. But thats Live Nations issue. Check out a show here, you wont regret it!

What a great venue for a concert. Right on the lake. Very close to Soldier Field. Plenty of good options for food and they allow you to bring in water bottles and have refill stations. Friendly staff also. Beautiful view of Chicago skyline

A lively & well managed outdoor concert venue . It is located on a stand-alone island directly next to the Shed Aquarium, which makes the scenery and surrounding environment all the more spectacular.The food and drink options that I tried were all catered by Chicago native establishments (the various encased meats are fantastic, especially the bratwurst).

Cute venue. You can see the skyline of Chicago in the background. 45 minutes walking distance from McCormick place or China town, 30 min from the Hilton.The area is rather flat and doesnt offer a good view of the stage other than on a big screen. There is stadium-like seating available. Bring loads of money and a backup to you credit card. Drinks are outrageously expensive $13.75 to $17 for a beer (20oz+).

A fun venue on the old Meigs Field on Lake Michigan in Chicago. Youve got a variety of seating available. Youll get your exercise going back and forth to parking but thats healthy. I thoroughly enjoyed Peter Framptons amazing performance on his final tour with a cant miss opening by Jason Bonhams Led Zeppelin Evening.

This is a perfectly fine music venue.Parking is insanely expensive, but its pretty easy to get to via train/public transportation. The other thing thats horribly expensive here is food and drinks. I get it, its a music venue in Chicago. Im not expecting a beer to be $1. But $22 for a mixed drink is insane.The sound quality is fine. The view is super pretty, with Lake Michigan to one side and the Chicago skyline to the other. It also makes for a nice summer breeze.The bathrooms are nice and clean, in the long trailers.Merch lines moved pretty quick and they seemed to have their stuff together.I recommend skipping on drinks and parking, but enjoying the band and the views.

No complaints here. Really cool venue right by the lake. Have to walk a bit if coming by CTA, but its totally worth it because its a beautiful stroll through the museum campus. Concert sound was very good. Wish the ground was sloped more for better stage views, but hey, it used to be an airfield.

Awesome venue, in its smaller configuration, theyre isnt a bad seat in the place. Great sounds, and right on the beach.

This is a beautiful place for a concert, but the venue needs improvement......PROS: Beautiful views of the skyline of Chicago as youre watching the concert. The breeze off the lake is gorgeous on a hot summer night. You can bring a water bottle in (put your cap in your pocket) and they have a nice filtered water refill station. The VIP parking, which is right next to the Northerly Island is only $5 more then the regular parking, which is about a half mile away.CONS: Concert parking is $30 and is about a half mile walk (do VIP parking for $5 more). The food and drinks are expensive. The bathrooms are big trailers and have lines (especially the womens). The seats on the main floor are plastic folding chairs zip tied together and the rows are too close together, making it extremely difficult to get to a middle seat. They dont have straws, but you can buy a metal one (not sure of the price). I know, its for environmental reasons.Overall, a fair venue. They need improvement to make this place more of a permanent venue.

Florence & the Machine put on a memorable show on a gorgeous spring evening. Great venue. Nice to see they compost at the venue, and they are moving towards zero waste.

What can I say about this place except FABULOUS. My friends and I go in the summer for the V103 Block Party. The line up is fantastic, the drinks are great and the people come to have a good time. The seats not so great but you cant have every thing.

Great affordable seats in a location right on the waterfront! All of the staff were very helpful and gave great customer service!

Not like the sound of an amphitheater but still pleasant. Lots of lush grassy areas to sit. Had a water house station which was good for wetting a towel to combat the heat. Also lots of porta Johns. Nice breeze off the water at night if u escape the crowd.

Onstage experience is not really worth it. Get in the first 2 rows and youll enjoy it much better. Other than that, excellent concert experience. I love it here.

Amazing sound no matter where you sit. Awesome venue. The sunsetting behind the stage and city background is wonderful. Staff was professional and helpful. Even the washrooms were clean and quick.

My favorite concert venue.It is very easy to get too and each seat has a perfect view also the skyline and occasional fireworks from Navy Pier depending on the day are a plus too.No obstructed views and great sound quality.Love it!!!

Its a beautiful place to see a concert,could work on the sound for lawn goers and the exit strategy was not good.They always are trying to improve your experience and thats always good.

Great out door venue! With the beach right behind the venue and the city skyline right the the left of the stage. Had an awesome set up of venders as well at the Thirty Seconds to Mars concert I went to. We even got the chance to move up seats because no one had bought those!Definitely would go to another concert here again!

Had a great time on Day 3 of the Country Lake Shake! The venue was beautiful but all the vendors were ridiculously over priced. $14.75 for a 24 oz can of Bud Light... It should be illegal how much they price gouge. Also, the way that the gate entrances were set up was terrible. For general admission, it took about an hour minutes to get into the venue and I arrived one hour before the first artist.

Great Venue, so long as youre close. Lots of expensive beer to pick from!

Traveled here from Omaha for a show. The venue was great. Parking wasnt too bad and getting out was pretty easy.

What a venue!!! 5 ️️️️️!! I come here really often with my friends, let me tell you the organization is top of the line, really professional people and security crew, never make you feel like you an outsider, at the concert you feel like part of big family. The speakers are with great sound from another dimension, overall the lightning and sound have to take a number one place across the country, believe me I have been going often out of state, but anyway this memories giving me chills right now, what a place! Love to getting lost in crowd singing here for sure! I’m out, you have a blessed day, aloha!:)

Saw thirty seconds to Mars here and they were absolutely awesome. The venue itself was nicely sized. I couldnt find any place to get soda though, but every cooler there said Pepsi... Overall, as long as you have good weather youre in for a treat.

Fun place for a concert right on the lake, with a beautiful view of the Chicago skyline. Not a huge stadium, so it s a little bit more intimate. Food and beer is way overpriced.

Great venue to see a show! Audio is decent and the skyline view in the background is a major plus. Can get a little chilly on summer nights so consider bringing a sweatshirt or light jacket. Food and drinks are at a premium but you can bring in a gallon bags worth of food and an empty or sealed water bottle to fill at the venue. Public transportation can also get a little tricky if the concert runs later from my experience at a Sunday night show, so look into it ahead of time and have a plan if your show runs late. Dont buy lawn seats or 300 section seats if you want a good view of the stage!

Enjoyed the VIP concert experience at the Pavilion--air conditioned stands, a nice buffet, and overpriced drinks. My overall perception of the venue is that it is overpriced--$10 pizza slice. Sit on the ground level if you are going strictly for the concert. The acoustics in the VIP boxes is poor. There are no speakers there.

Always a great place to see a show. Beer is a little pricey but thats normal for concerts.

An interesting venue, right by a marina across the bay from Soldier Field. Looks like they threw a stage up in a parking lot. Not far from hotels, I had a nice walk through Grant Park.

Second show at this venue this summer and I have to say I absolutely love it. Beers are expensive, but in line with Chicago pricing. Other alcohol options available (wine and mixed drinks). Shows have a hard stop at 11 so expect the bands to play a close as possible to that time.

Great place to see a concert. However, $15 for a beer seems a bit outrageous to me.

Odd place. Views could be beautiful but for some reason they block them with ugly plastic and fence you in like you are in a prison. They leave you with options of either $12 beers or $38 bottles of barefoot wine. No bueno.

Ok pop up venue by live nation. Lawn seating not so good, esp. If its been wet out recently. Alcohol prices are insanely high, drink before you go. Food is pretty high too. Nothing under $5 i could find. $10 hot dogs......funny stuff. Nice that its right on the lake. Loads of seagulls. Sound is decent, not great. Parking is stupidly priced at $35 to $50......lol

Concerts and venues .. bring a good memories and feelings. love it every time i come and visit this place . it is so organized and taking care of. nice spot to spend with your boyfriend .. i was dancing my feet out if you know what i mean ... amazing times makes me want to go back and repeat it again and again. take a sweater in case it would get chilly . thank you for this spot. chao

This is THE spot for summer shows. We have been here for many different shows and even if the place is packed there is always a good view. The drinks are way over priced and the food is basic, but the bathrooms are decent, always clean. Getting here can be difficult, best is to walk in from Michigan Ave unless you want to fork over $$$ for a taxi or pedi cab.

Open air Ampitheatre great for summer time concerts.

Everything about this venue should be great. Its a premier location with great views. Theyre booking some top flight acts here. But ya cant get past the gouging on amenities. Drink and food prices are horrendous. Its a sign of the times when a few drinks cost an arm and a leg. It weighs heavy on the experience and thus the rating. Get your pregame on somewhere on Wabash and drink water here. Its just sad like that. Then enjoy the music without worrying about refreshments.

Legit venue! Seen multiple concerts here and look forward to seeing more! This is an outdoors.

Breezy, beautiful venue for a show; saw NeedtoBreathe here last night! Folding chair seats in box seats/section 200 were expectedly cozy but helped with the brisk wind that was present last night. Girls, bring a hair tie or clip if you want to actually see the show, LOL. We got a last-minute chance to be in the pit area and it was awesome! Drinks were expensive but also expected to be that way. $9.75 for cheap beer, $13.50 for craft, and $17 for taller, specialty cans. I had a decently-sized cup of red wine for $10. Its all part of the experience, though! We parked on the street (Roosevelt) near Stans Donuts and the walk was easy. Enjoy your night here!

Dont sit in 307 or 308. It looks as if itd be elevated but its not so you cant see anything. I paid extra for trash seats.

We were there for a kids festival/concert (Nick Slimefest). Overall the lines/crowds werent bad but that may have related more to the turnout of the show.... we had some rainy weather and the sod gets very water logged and fairly muddy pretty fast. Stage setup and grandstands were nice and they do a nice job of how they handle food vendors. Getting there.... we cabbed over from Michigan, but drivers dont always want to go all the way down the road into the bottleneck so we jumped out and took bike rickshaw thing. It was about 20 bucks from the field add that to the cab ride and you are at about the same cost as the parking lot. The lot is super-close, but I imagine tough to get out of if you stay at the show until the end. Gate/security folks were friendly and overall we had a good experience. I would go back.

Acoustics were good, and it was nice to have seats, even though a lot of people were milling around instead of sitting. The bathroom situation waaaaaayyy better than expected- instead of porta potties, the toilets were on trailers, and were actually not disgusting! Bottled water was pricy (5 bucks for a 20oz bottle), but if Im not mistaken I think I overheard one of the security guards checking peoples items in telling a girl that water could be brought in.

Great sound quality and ambience! I dont recommend lawn seats if you are really interested in seeing the stage at all however. Thankfully they have a screen to make up for that. Drink prices are also very high, but thats pretty standard for most venues.

If you have a fear of spiders DO NOT go here! They are everywhere to the point I had to leave my seat and go stand in the GA after spending a nice chunk of money to get tickets in the VIP section. They claim they do their best, but from the moment I arrived I was knocking spider webs off our seats. The venue is beautiful, but unfortunately I could not enjoy it where I was sitting.

First time attending a concert at Northerly. It was decent. General admission standing space is huge. The seating areas are way to far from the stage to be worth paying for. Handicapped seating was available without special ticketing & much better viewing options.

Fantastic sight for a concert. Great backdrop of Chicago behind stage. I use a wheelchair and they had a ton of ADA seating and nice amount of ADA bathrooms. Well done Northerly. Ill be back soon.

Easy to maneuver and loved our show. Choose seats closer to the middle if you can though because the sides are a little further over than the tickets make it seem and its a bit hard to see everything. Sound quality was fantastic though!

I went there for a concert. SOJA and Sublime with Rome. Good show. Amazing restrooms for a concert venue, those little mobile home looking type. The stage is nice and the sound was too. It had all the standards youd expect at a concert venue, but the huge shock to me was...I was not expecting it to be all pavement. Only extra paid seating and ADA seating which was to be expected. It felt like I was in a parking lot the whole time.There was a fence separating you from the water so you knew for sure you were trapped on concrete. A blanket on grass is fine, but doesnt work well there.The venue should be visible from where you parked or its too far especially for a smaller venue this.It felt like a school parking lot, except it was blocked off when you arrived because the band is having a pep rally.It was easy to see and it sounded great, just not what I like in a venue.I also was not expecting a $30 fee for parking when I got there. But I forgot It is Chicago. The adult beverages were half that, around $15.

Have been here a few times for concerts. Its a beautiful location, especially when the sun is setting. Always getting a nice breeze from the lake. Although it is outdoors, the sound quality and loudness is great.

Overall a beautiful venue if the weather is good. If there is rain, wind or cold not so much. I went there last for an Avett Brothers concert in late September. I paid $70 + each for four tickets and was terribly disappointed. The weather was great, but the venue PACKED in the seating so that it was an uncomfortable, jammed up mess. Most people in my section had to stand sideways, if you were in the middle of the row and needed a beer or bio break, the whole row had to exit. I love sweaty, fun , high energy , beer spilled on you concerts but this was claustrophobic. They would have been better off just leaving the seats out. Lesson learned.

Very Nice outdoor concert venue. Depends on annual owner or bank. Sections 101 -105 are best. 202- 206 are your next choice. Bleachers 306-312 are ok views. I’ve been in the VIP Double decker seating & funhouse. Clowns Pros; 1. It’s under stage style roofing if its sprinkling out. 2. Restrooms are close. 3. Liquor & vending are there. 4. The food options are much nicer than the general population. Cons; 1. Not very good view, far back & left side view obstructed. 2. 7/11/18 foreigner concert was an additional $125 per person up charge to your existing ticket prices. 2017 up charge was $60.

I really enjoy this venue when it comes to seeing shows especially during the summer. During the summer youll always get a nice breeze and see an amazing view of the Chicago skyline while checking out your favorite band.

Love this venue, however was very disappointed in how it is run. Was very excited to visit and see Jimmy Eat World/Third Eye Blind, however concert was postponed 2+ hours due to rain (despite advertisement in ticket sales claiming rain or shine), staff was ill informed of process for evacuation and not providing adequate instructions for guests to seek shelter, guests were given about a 30 minute notice that the show would begin causing crowds flocking in at unmanageable paces, there was no opener band and the artists ended up cutting all of their setlist in half to try to accommodate the shortened show, however most guests missed all of the Jimmy Eat World performance due to standing in chaotic admission lines. Unbelievable and poorly executed event.

Great place. Great staff, great security. Lots of police. Lots of garbage cans and rickshaws rides nearby.

Its a great location for events. It has a great of downtown and the lake. Very spacious venue. Perfect for a stroll and a picnic. Overall, a satisfactory space.

Its a decent outdoor arena for the warmer seasons. All the food and drinks are very expensive even for a typical concert. The biggest problem with the Pavilion is accessibility. Since its right next to the Planetarium/Soldier Field, parking is limited. They close off the very limited street parking there for any events so the only parking there is a small lot that costs $35 which is just absurd. So pretty much the only street parking there is past Michigan Avenue, which is probably at least a 15 to 20 min walk out there. I strongly consider getting a ride there, but of course finding a ride once the event is over will be extremely tricky.

2019 country lake shake has been amazing!! Only thing that needs a little fix is the pickup location after a concert..2.5 miles up the lake shore, just to be able to come back 1.7 miles from the actual starting point at the gate back to our hotel..plus Lyft drivers are not as understanding when its your first time using the app... to get to the lake shake

I come here regularly during the summer to see music acts during the summer. If it is going to be aclumet weather bring the right hear Because there is no place to hide from the rain

1.2 mile walk from Roosevelt on the Green Line. No tailgating or ambiance to speak of. $56 for lawn with no sight of the stage. While it provides a nice backdrop of Chicago, I wouldnt go back if Jimi Hendrix arose from the dead.

Awesome concert venue. Super easy to get to, parking a bit expensive but convenient and close to all the great Chicago museums that you know you should be visiting more frequently. Great concert space right on the lakefront.

The concert was amazing. Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton, Mase and Carl Thomas gave a great show.The venue needs some help. The chairs on the ground level seating is TOO close together (they tie them together)Guest are uncomfortable with no elbow room. It makes you think they are just interested in how many seats they can fit in the space and not the comfort of the patrons who just paid 80-100 dollars for a ticket. Not cool.Also the forecast said rain, so I bought my umbrella, in which they would not let me bring in, they said I could take it back to my car. My car was too far away to walk back. They said it would be under the sign at the entrance when the concert was over. Of course someone stole my umbrella which was a gift from my job...unacceptable! This is the stupidest rule ive ever heard. Ill never come back.

Way too little leg room for concerts. Uncomfortable for the crazy price of tickets. Also plan on spending $20 for a drink. Good bbq food, though.

This was my first time attending an event here, I was extremely surprised at what a wonderful time I had. First of all its an outdoor venue so I was apprehensive about mosquitoes and the restroom situation, but let me just say not one problem with either. Somehow no issue with annoying flying bugs, not one mosquito bite and I did not have on any repellant. Extremely pleased that in addition to the port a potty, they had separate women and men air conditioned restroom trailers with about five or six stalls that flushed, an actual working sink with running water to wash your hands, complete with a mirror so us ladies could touch ourselves up if needed. Plenty of refreshment stands available which are about average in price, every seat has a good view of the stage, plus for this event the jumbotron was used. I will definitely be attending more events here.

This venue is weak sauce. The chairs in the floor sections are cheap, flimsy, uncomfortable, and crammed so tightly together that it is difficult for anyone to pass through the row to go to the porta-potty or buy a $15 can of Bud Light. Not to mention that the arrangement is such that from our seats, we could hardly see the stage because the over-priced vendors were positioned so that they’re encroaching in on the audience and blocking the view and blinding us with their bright lights.The sound from the [apparently inadequate] speakers certainly left more to be desired. Even just getting into the place was almost TSA-level annoying.I guess I just expect more from $90 tickets (shame on me?).Needless to say, I’ll never go to the Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island again, which is clearly more focused on grabbing your money than providing an enjoyable concert experience.

Sound is decent but you want 100 level / pit or the 300... 100/Pit is good, 200 level of but flat no elevation, 300 level are elevated, and lawn has zero view of the stage and is flat as well

Best views of the city and right in the middle of so many things happening in Chicago especially over the summer.

They are very accommodating to handicap people. Gracious and pleasent. Parking was expensive but all around great time. Someone always checked up on us.

It was okay. Layout seemed off and actually seeing the concert was harded than needed. Seemed more like a listen and chill place than watch a concert. Still great because it is outside on the lake with great views but if layout were to be changed would be 5 stars all the way.

While the area is beautiful, since Huntington took over management of this venue prices have gone up by almost 100%. It is still one of the most lovely places to see a concert, but be prepared to pay much more for a decent view and $$$ for food and drinks. There is a station for filling water bottles and you may bring your own (sealed) disposable bottle or (empty) refillable bottle - they also allow snacks in clear zip-lock bags. If you plan to park nearby, arrive early and purchase your parking in advance if possible (its more expensive the day of the event and the price varies depending on other nearby events).

They have a great view of 12th street beach and. The field museum also the food is magnificent to.
