The Jazz Arts Charlotte is a hidden gem for for intimate live music. It is conveniently located right across from the epicenter. Grab dinner before or after for an amazing date night. Be sure to grab season tickets or book ahead of time. Shows sell out quickly.

The Jazz Arts Initiatives Jazz Room shows feature amazing current performers while paying homage to the pioneers of the art. There is no better way to enjoy and learn about Americas most significant contribution to the arts than through these shows. The performances are fantastic and I hope they begin recording and archiving these. Something magical happens every time. Go, whether youre an expert or an initiate, you will find the time well spent.

My wife, son and I came here tonight because the Arts and Science Council gave free tickets to teachers who represent each school. I would have never come, but I am so happy I did. I learned so much about New Orleans Jazz and heard some amazing musicians. I loved it. Cant wait until I get to go back.

Consistently terrific! We remain impressed by and grateful for the fabulous performances and welcoming atmosphere served up month after month - all at the best price of any entertainment in Charlotte. Its hard to imagine how The Jazz Room is bringing in such national and international talent for the low price of our season tickets. The word is clearly getting out and the line is getting longer at the door, but the relaxed, congenial feeling remains thanks to Lonnie, Curtis & Co.

The Jazz Room was great and mr. Wilson the sax player was fantastic but the bass player was a mother but then the piano player and the drummer so all of them were AAA five stars that jazz film is fantastic every seat is a great seat so I guess Im just going to try to find out if I can get like season tickets or something and and just go its a wonderful spot thats one of the reasons why I moved to Charlotte for a good music and The Jazz Room has it for me anyway.

Giving three stars because its not really accessible for people in wheelchairs/walkers. Had to take my mom with a Walker all the way around the block to avoid stairs, which was a lot of walking for her. Its a cute theater, just wish it was easier to get to if you have mobility issues.

Would have given five stars, but there was a group of folks who were very distracting during the performance. Specifically, six people who just could not stop interacting across tables.
