I went for the Nutcracker Ballet and had a great time! The theatre is a good size with beautiful architecture. I love that there is a parking garage connected to the theatre. Its a little confusing for first timers due to little signage but, if you follow the crowd on a big event night they will lead you where you need to go. The theatre offers snacks and beverages but they are pretty pricey for a small amount. The show was beautiful and I had such a great time! All the staff is very nice and willing to answer all your questions. They even validated my parking for a cheaper price! I will most definitely be back.

Some of my best memories have been created here. Stunning shows with a fabulous cast and friendly staff in a beautiful building. Very consistent. One of my favorite places!

Had my first visit to The Blumenthal Center/Belk Theater. I saw a performance by the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater. The show was amazing! Theater seating and sound were excellent! I will definitely go back to see other performances and shows. A great place for enjoyable nights out!

Fantastic!Not only was the production very enjoyable to watch, but the venue itself is very nice!Theres plenty of seating options depending on the budget you have or view you desire. The venue was very clean, and very well kept. All the important things seemed up to date, and well looked after.The staff were very helpful, very professional, and very nice. Its something worth noting.The beverages were a bit on the expensive side, and Id like to see more wines offered, over beers. But thats just personal preference.Parking was nice as well, and not too complicated to find, if your semi-familiar with the Charlotte Uptown layout.

Nice place and atmosphere. The chairs are pretty but not necessarily comfortable. There is a lot of construction but if you park in the Hearst garage, there is an enclosed walk that takes you through. Wear comfortable shoes.

Today I just went to go see HAMILTON. It was amazing the actors did an amazing job portraying each character they were playing. They added their own style to it and everything. Even having listen to the soundtrack multiple times it sound just as good. The staff there was amazing and very nice. They were also very helpful. That is why Id like to give them a 5 star rating!

I have seen so many shows here and each time it is a joy! Each seat is wonderful. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The concessions are reasonably priced. They have a varied lineup and bring in lots finishes that I want to see. This place is great. My only complaint is that seating is tight for bigger people (heavy and/or tall).

I love coming here every year to watch the Shen Yun performance!! It is so beautiful and amazing!! These men and women are beyond talented and sure do know how to captivate an audience!!

Its a fine theater that is very comfortable. The upper balcony is the best for viewing.

Went to go see the nutcracker there and it is still an amazing and beautiful place.there could be some minor upgrades done to the place here and there, also like cup holders in the balcony mezzanine areas. Also very disability accessible, so that is a plus

Saw Book of Mormon here and it was great! Didn’t do parking in uptown, but if you park out of the city you can take the trolley within a couple of blocks and walk. Faculty is very nice and they offer a decent variety of drinks and snacks.

First time. Great venue. Parked in Bank of America’s parking structure. Get the prepaid voucher and exchange it inside the theater for an exit pass. Speeds up leaving the show and parking.Allow yourself plenty of time to park and get to theatre.Seats are comfortable for a taller person. Great legroom. Best seats are 10 or more rows back from stage. Found that being too close was not optimal to enjoy the full stage production. My fault not theirs.Alcohol and snacks available. Prices are similar to other venues. Staff is great at getting you in, seated and out when done. Restrooms are a bit crowded at breaks but better than most facilities.Take the family and enjoy NY style productions at Southern prices.

Magical acoustics make this theater the best place in the area for Broadway Tour performances. No bad seats. Beautiful, artfully-designed lobby makes any level of seating feel like the best. :)

The theater is exquisite. Acustics are excellent. The quality of productions are top notch. We seen musical acts, plays and Opera and none have disappointed. Check it out!

We went to see Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. I had a great time but there was a small mix up with our seat. The usher worked to make sure everyone found their correct seats. My husband and I had a wonderful time.

I enjoyed the Dave Chapelle show. I was all the up in the theater and next time I know to get balcony seats no matter the cost.

Great venue, fantastic shows. My family and I love the Broadway series but theres so much more to enjoy here! Last year, we took advantage of Kids Night and the Lunch & Learn offerings. If youre local to Charlotte and havent done either of these, you really ought to!

Went to see The Lion King and it was great. It was far beyond what I expected. The singing and dancing was awesome.

Ive been to many, many shows/concerts here and its by far the best performance venue in the city. Thoroughly modern and comfortable though be aware that balcony seats generally involve quite a few stairs so that can be an issue for those with mobility trouble. Staff and volunteers are generally very pleasant.

Ive been here twice and both times were absolutely amazing! The Blumenthal is grand and definitely a place that all must visit at least once. Uncle and I saw The Lion King.. Awesome! Daughter and I saw Cats.. Great! No matter the seating, the view is good. Downstairs orchestra area is the best. Kinda pricey but worth it. The characters will come out off the stage and interact. Concession stand with drinks(soda, wine, liquor, water) and snacks. Will visit again soon with my other daughters for Aladdin!

This place is very clean and the inside is really pretty. The line for the bathroom goes extremely fast. The staff had three people in there pointing out which ones are open. Very good system.

Before I discuss anything about the show I just first compliment the staff. These folks are so accommodating and helpful and friendly and kind and sweet and I am not out of nice things to say, I just dont wanna take too up anymore space. I am large fella. 64 and on the heavy side and Linda, seeing my discomfort found me at intermission and reseated me to a lovely section with lots and lots of leg room. Sadly I do not recall the other staff members that assisted my wife and I, but I want to thank you all so much!! That being said... The theatre itself was very clean and nice. The sound was amazing and I am a customer for life! My wife and I will come see as many shows as possible!

We have attended many Broadway plays and productions over the last three years, and every experience is unique and wonderful (Cats, Lion King, Dear Evan Hanson, Hamilton, just to name a few). The theater itself is beautiful and there isnt a bad seat in the house. The concessions stand can get crowded however they staff is fast and efficient. I really appreciate that you can pay for parking quickly without having to pay the extremely high prices. Staff is always welcoming and helpful. It is nice to have the building connected with a catwalk to other restaurants in the area. I would highly recommend attending a performance here.

We attended a 3 hr lecture from Neil deGrasse Tyson. What a phenomenal experience. The ushers were super friendly.

A BTS tour was an eye into the world of stage production!

Belk is a pretty nice theater. Unlike big theaters in other major cities, you can actually see if youre sitting up top in the cheap seats. You dont get much leg room, but thats pretty typical at a theater. The seats are decently comfortable. The bathroom downstairs was recently redone and is very nice.

Went to see the Chatlotte Ballets Nutcracker. It was AWESOME! I do recommend.

The shows may vary in type and quality but the venue is a delight. Seating is comfortable. Staff is attentive, pleasant and friendly. We’ll be back again, often.

1st time there . Saw The Machine with the Charlotte Symphony! Our seats were easy to get to .We did have to go down some stairs to get to them . Not sure if there was an elevator. I know some people have problems with stairs. Everything was clean . The seats were comfortable and leg room was decent as well . Lower level and could see over people in front of me with no problems .Staff were all friendly. Would go back !

Wonderful show as always. I have seen several shows at this location and every experience has been a great experience. The theater is not huge so even if you are in the back it it still a good seat. Friendly and helpful staff and a clean theater.

Centrally located, interesting mix of people, everything from jeans and crocs to formal gowns. Nice night out if you grab dinner beforehand. Concessions serves beer, wine, and liquor

Really nice venue. Not a bad seat in the house. We showed up with my son on crutches and everyone was super nice and helpful in getting him to our seats.

I was picking up tickets, for an upcoming performance, which I ordered in October. First, I was told they were behind sending out the tickets, then apparently they sent them, but I never received them. It is a bit difficult to find the theater, if you havent been before. I expected there would be better signage. The will-call lady was very helpful, though. More to come....

LA BOHEME Opera was Excellent... Great comfortable seats. Pages were helpful and drinks were plentiful...

A classic favorite for Uptown Charlotte. The Blumenthal is an elegant space in the center of town offering wonderful visual and audible experiences with three tiers of seating. Off-Broadway and Broadway alike come to Charlotte and mist likely show here.

Mozarts Requiem was absolutely amazing. A must see show worthy of your precious time and capital. Really loved the show and the performance. Amazing!!

My husband surprised me with an early Valentines date which included seeing Shen Yun at the Belk. Belk theater is such a beautiful place! From the lobby lay out so traffic flows pretty well, to the bathrooms that are also designed to keep traffic flowing to pretty comfortable seats in the theater. It is a great overall experience.I do wish the old school etiquette was still in tact like it used to be. I think the ushers ( that I believe are volunteers) do their best, but some people are just rude. Walking in and out of the theater during the performance is such a distraction (unless its an absolute emergency). And while I think its ridiculous that someone would pull their phone out for more than a second while the theater is pretty dark to check messages and social media, not dimming the brightness is unforgivable!

The Venue is amazing the Show??? Shen Yun!!! TERRIBLE!! Left at intermission. Money already donated to the Chinese resistance. My time is worth more. No story line at all. This is not what I perceived it to be in any way. Very repetitive with different costumes. I see why there is only one showing per city.

The sound was good and the facility was clean. The seats are outdated and the parking that was suggested on the website, 150 North College Street was not $5 as stated, it was $25. This rating should probably be lower but we enjoyed the music.

We paid $150.00 for what was to be some of the best seats for Shen Yun and the seats where so small that you couldnt move. Much smaller sets then any airplane I have ever been in. It was crazy to pay that much and couldnt enjoy the show we paid for. We left at intermission. I will never waste my money at this theater again.

Truly phenomenal, loved seeing come from away. Had taken my younger child and he say through most of the play. As we came out the staff asked if we were okay and we were allowed to finish watching the play on one of the tv screens outside.

I absolutely love the Belk Theater. If youre in the mood for a classy experience, its the best place in Charlotte. The symphony, ballet, and a host of other great performances never disappoint.

I have always had a passion for musics and the arts in general. I have never been to a performance or at the Belk Theater at Blumenthal that I didnt find absolutely delightful. This program was funded by the Arts and Science Council. . . I think I may have enjoyed it more than the children I accompanied.

Went to see Bill Burr do a comedy routine. I had a ball. The venue is awesome. Great views from all seats, its a beautiful venue.

The Theatre itself is beautiful, the staff are very nice and helpful and every show I have been to there was great.

Lovely theater in downtown Charlotte. It doesnt have the classic feel of some older theaters I have visited but it is still a very nice venue. Drinks are a bit steep but thats expected. The layout of the seating is good. We had lower level, 15 rows back to the side and it still felt close. The balconies look like a good view as well with good distance to the stage. All in all, I would go watch a performance there again.

We saw Star Wars and it was really fun. There were lots of kids there, the 501st was there for pictures, it was a very cool event. Well done.

My favorite theater in Charlotte. Theres always plenty of attendees around to help you get to your seats. Parking can be tricky, but every show Ive seen here has been an enjoyable experience!

As usual I was NOT disappointed. Ive been attending plays at the Belk since living here, (3 yrs) & LOVE it. What concerns me is your pricing is moving up to Time Square & Kennedy Ctr prices. But, Ill hang in here as long as I can.

Celebrated my anniversary by seeing Aladdin! It was great! The costumes were over the top and the cast was excellent! Belk Theater is a wonderful venue. The staff is the friendliest around!

We usually get box seats for the handicap accessibility of it. It works or great for my daughter too. Gives us the privacy to take care ofanyhing medical for her and not have to leave the theater.

Good, not great, theater: great location in the center of Charlotte, convenient to parking, dining, and hotels. Not fantastic acoustically, but not bad. Front of house staff is usually helpful, bars have good selections and prices. And while there are not enough rest rooms, the womens room on the orchestra level was recently renovated. Front if mezzanine is a much better value than grand tier.

This visit was for Come From Away outstanding performance! As for the theater, it is hit or miss on the temperatures. I realize that seating is for maximum capacity but seating is a little uncomfortable.

Went to see Aladdin. The cast was amazing. Their hard work showed. The entire cast was excellent. Been there two times and will be getting a season pass soon. Great experience.

Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, and Aladdin are just a few of the productions Ive seen here. Ive been, Ive seen, and I will be back to see many more. The staff and volunteers are more than helpful, and the productions are far better than words can describe. I commend the Belk Theater, and the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center for their excellence in their service to the Arts.
