Absolutely wonderful theater Productions. You would think that with them being for children that it would be a low budget kind of production but I am always so amazed at how well done each of the plays has been. My only critique is it is super cold in the theater, so you may want to bring a jacket. All of the ushers and individuals who work in the theater are always very helpful and nice. It is always wonderful to go to the Childrens Theater.

With being a school bus driver I come here often to bring all ages and groups to enjoy everything the children theater has to offer. With a large library, great shows and plenty of activities its hard to get bored here.

Took our toddler to the Pete the Cat show. We arrived early to check out the library. They have a great selection of childrens books, a nice play area, and even computer stations made just for kids. We even got to see the storyteller (who is very good). My kid enjoyed it so much we almost couldnt pull her away to see the show! Well be back to do some more exploring!

My son & I just moved here from New York. Were exploring the city. I get email updates on things going on around the city that are age appropriate for my young son, which I love! This was our first time here and I cannot express how much both of us loved it! My son was in awe! We saw Pete the Cat, which is his favorite books! My son wants to come back for more plays!! I cannot wait to bring him back! We definitely want to check out the library and other things going on there!

This place presented a wonderful opportunity for my daughter to grow and learn as an artist. She was casted in a couple of lead roles early on here. She had never missed a practice in her entire time here; she was dedicated, respectful and well like by her peers and directors. However, we had a death in the family and needed to travel to Ohio to support our family as the death was unexpected. Our Aunt and uncle had found their 26 yr old son on the couch, who they believed was sleeping all day because he worked the night shift the night before, dead. He had died of asthma complications. My daughter needed to be absent Thursday-Saturday. The Funeral was on Friday and we were returning Sunday. Weekend practice was starting that same week so my daughter would have missed 3 rehearsals. We were told that if she went to the funeral, she would be kicked out of the play. She was never offered another role or anything; then they lied and told her cast that because she couldnt have the lead role anymore, she dropped out of the play. My daughter and my family are humble people, and although she was being punished for a death in our family, she would have continued in the play in any role if given the opportunity. As a matter of fact, the leader ship felt bad for what the Director did to my daughter so they allowed her to attend the cast party and attend all shows for Free of charge. We Absolutely Loved thus place but opted not to return as the person who replaced my daughter missed more days than my daughter needed to for the funeral. Because we did not return, we have been told by several people that every year the Theatre lies on my daughter, about the incident, which is the only reason Im sharing this story. We have moved on and they are trying to discredit my childs integrity! Are you KIDDING ME?!!! You All should be ashamed of yourself!!! Do not try scare tactics on the children by lying. Also, Charlotte Childrens Theatre my number is the same! You are welcome to call me and discuss this!

I love this place. My daughter has gone to two semesters of acting now, thanks to their scholarship program, and I just couldn’t be happier w/ her teacher Miss. Regina! Miss Regina is a ray of sunshine and a joy to work with! She has the sweetest heart and u can tell she genuinely loves the kids!! We wish we could do the summer camps too, but even though the scholarship does cover it, the hours begin after I am work and end before I am off. There’s no way a single Mom can do that schedule. Which is my only complaint w/ them. Maybe some time they can do a summer camp for single, working Moms?? Idk, but fingers crossed

Incredible resource for the city and the whole state actually. Amazing theatrical productions. We go to them all. Even the ones that seem unappealing to us end up being very worthwhile. The library is fun. Revolving exhibits keep things fresh.

Childrens Theatre of Charlotte rocks! High quality, professional theatre experience. Great mix of fun shows - Cat in the Hat, Go Dog Go!.. and important shows - The Magic Kite, Grace for President - that inspire us. And, the summer camps and mini-camps for teacher workdays cant be beat. My son, my daughter, and our entire family are raving fans!
