This was my first Escape Room experience & it was fun! We brought my mom here for her 60th birthday! Andy was the best part, he was so into his character & had us excited & entertained as soon as we walked in. Will definitely be back again!!!

We did the Ventriloquist escape room - which was difficult (for us) but super fun! The room was well thought out, just creepy enough, and had a great little story line.The best part was seriously Andy though! He was so fun, and he made sure that my group had a good time. I would definitely come back just to have him as a host again.

This place was super spooky and was great for our Halloween date night. The host was incredible and played his role extremely well. The room we did was super hard for first time escapees like my group but we did manage to get some clues correct and not feel like complete idiots. 10/10 would recommend 10/10 would do it again. LOVED THIS PLACE.

This escape room was AMAZING! Andy was by far THE BEST host EVER! My friends and I went for my birthday and my goodness, money well spent! I cannot WAIT to go back and try the other rooms they have! I absolutely LOVED it!

I had a great experience at The Box Escape Room! The Ventriloquist was challenging, yet with just a few clues :-) we managed to escape before the hour was up. I love the creativity and thought that went behind the room setup.

This was my third time going to an escape room (2 different centers/companies in 2 different cities) and this one was definitely a great experience and a fave. Out of our group of 8, only 2 had escape room experience whereas the rest were newbies. With that said, we ALL had a blast with the Cold Case Killer and our host was amazing!! He stayed in character the entire time and was very professional and polite. We were a few minutes late as we got turned around but the host called us just to make sure we were still coming and was very helpful in giving us directions. I would highly recommend The Box Escape Room!!

Staff was prompt at returning my call and working with a variable number of people for a birthday party. The host was great and really added to the mystery and ambiance of the room! Left The Box feeling accomplished and enjoyed every moment of this escape room! We partook in the Predestined room and was challenged all the way up until the very end. The staff working made the experience even more immersive. I would recommend The Box to anybody looking for a challenge and a great time overall!

Atmosphere and set design was great. It was very intense. Some of the clues required you to connect some dots that were not very obvious at all, which required more hints than I wanted to use, but overall a great experience.

We did The Ventriloquist room for my little sisters birthday. It was so much fun but also a little scary. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to come back!

They make great use of such a small space and the ambiance of the place before you begin is excellent. Though most of the puzzle simply involved finding a series of combinations so it got a little predictable.

We went to the The Box for a family day trip.... OMG!!! It was an awesome experience! We did the ventriloquist room and made it out in the last second. The young lady that was our guide stayed in character which had me freaked out. We cant wait to return!

Exceptionally done! There isnt much to the outside or even the lobby but the rooms themselves are top notch!

10/10 for each room. The employees are super enthusiastic and really make each room come to life. Cold Case is the best, and has such a good twist to it. Ventriloquist is creepy for sure, but has so many details to it! Predestined is the hardest by far, but they have plenty of hints for you to get if needed. By far one of the best places in regards to escape rooms ever

One of the best escape rooms I have completed with my friends. We love the ones that leads you into another corridor or room for more clues. We chose the Cold Case Killer room and it was a little challenging but we made it out! Cant wait to return to complete the other rooms. Shout out to Andy the game master who does such a great job at staying in character to help get you started.

Escape Room enthusiast and this place WOWed me.The office park where it’s located threw me off at first, but all hesitation disappeared when I walked through the door. The place is oozing with theme from the minute you walk in. The host’s acting (yes, the people checking you in are in-character!) sets the scene even before you step in the room and once in you’re in the room, you are transported to another place. The rooms are beautiful and filled with so much detail. Not only pleasing to the eye, the beauty does a great job of making the puzzles look organic and part of the story.The puzzles were varied and clever in design. Our group of four felt challenged but never overwhelmed. The puzzles require thinking and teamwork, but were never too vague that we were wondering what to do next. Many of the puzzles were non-linear which means everyone has something to do. No one was standing around waiting which means everyone got their money’s worth.This place beats out the bigger Escape Tactics by a wide margin and is narrowly ahead of the excellent Exit Strategy. Well worth your time!

Great experience! I’ve done all three rooms now, and each one has been a difficult yet fun challenge! The workers are very friendly, and play their roles very well. Great prices and even better service!

Let me start off by saying I love Andy! The Cold Case room was very well thought out and very challenging.You really have to think outside of the box.We loved this experience so much we are considering coming back tomorrow to complete the VENTRILOQUIST room.

This was an amazing experience, I’ve done many escape rooms all across the the country and I can honestly say that this was one of my favorites. The host was EXCEPTIONAL, from his costume to the way he acted out his character everything was phenomenal. I’ve never done an escape room where the host seemed apart of the entire escape room theme. The actual room was challenging but not impossible, it was just me and my boyfriend and we were so close to completing it!

It was fun and intense. Will return soon.

My boyfriend and I have done all 3 rooms and they are hands down the best escape room we have been too. Andy is by far the best host. We have done quiet a few rooms and The Box has all of them beat by a lot. Thanks Andy for the great experience. You are amazing!!

Me and my step dad came into town for a night, and we were looking for something fun to do. We called The Box and they had availability that night! We didn’t even have to wait! Andy was super helpful and his character is so fun, talks a bit fast so listen up! Had a great time. 10/10 would reccommend

First of all, when Andy came through the door with all of his personality and “creepy” persona, I was in for it!! The escape room was fun and challenging but not impossible! It was creepy and exciting! We did the Cold Case Killer. Andy however, made the whole experience!! Seriously, if you don’t put that kind of energy into my escape room, I don’t want it!!

This place was SO FUN. I don’t review places unless they are either completely worth it or not worth it at all and this place was great! It’s definitely worth your time and money the place was nicely set and very well maintained. The room we went into was so nicely decorated and fun! It was an amazing and fun experience and I would definitely pay to go back. The person who attended us was very mysterious (in a good way),energetic, fun and very helpful he made the whole thing seem SO real his character was very fun he definitely made our experience super fun. This was a great place!!

I’ve been to escape rooms before but this is one of my favorite! The puzzles and stories are very interesting and creative! Definitely a brain teaser, the host was phenomenal as well! Will return!

Loved the experience!Our team of 5 did the Ventriloquist. From the moment that you walk in the door, you are entertained. The game master never leaves character. The room was set up great. I loved the dark, eerie vibe. Im looking forward to trying out the other two rooms. We completed the room with no clues and had a little over 4 mins to spare. We do not like asking for clues at all. Therefore, we do not care for places that are set up in a way that they pretty much require clues to succeed. Appreciate how the Ventriloquist was challenging yet solvable on our own.

The whole experience was amazing! Andy is phenomenal; he stayed in character the whole time and made the game that much more real. The room itself was so intricate and immersive. We had a great time and plan to be back to do another room in the future!

The ambiance of their escape rooms is absolutely amazing and fitting for the theme of each room. Andy the host is great and really settles in the mood of completely these challenging but fun rooms. Would definely come back to do all of their other puzzles and any future ones that have!

We had a lot of fun. You definitely have to think out of the box. This is perfect if you are interested in a challenge. Loved the whole time we were in there.

We attended the predestination escape room experience and really enjoyed the experience. From the moment we walked in the door the experience began and we enjoyed the suspension of disbelief provided by Alex. The clues were varied and thoughtfully intertwined and the story was engaging. The room encouraged cooperation and the payoff was exhilarating. Highly recommend this experience.

We came back to The Box excited to try out their newest room, Predestined. Its a favorite! The Box always blows us away with the story in the rooms and this one was a real treat. I wont spoil it, but I will say I recommend doing Cold Case Killer and The Ventriloquist first if you can (some great easter eggs).The room itself has lots to do, both as a group and individually. We would regularly work on different puzzles then come together to collaborate on a major piece. The puzzles are mostly intuitive and the few hints we needed were to remember to use things we had already found.The staff is warm, friendly, and in-character. Andy always makes us feel welcome and well be back again in the future when their next room opens :)

Be patient, breathe, and have fun!

This place was so amazing! First of all, the man in charge when we got there was super nice and informative. He answered all of my questions that I had prior to entering the room, and was fully in character the whole time! The room was intense and complex, but it wasnt impossible to complete. It was difficult enough to stump us more than a couple times but not enough to make us give up. Dont be put off by the location, its kinda in a tight spot and you can easily miss it if youre not looking. Would highly recommend this place! The price is average for escape rooms at $27 per person and they have three different rooms. I am not a fan of scary rooms and this one was a family friendly room!

We chose The Box Escape Room as our quarterly team event, and we had a blast!! Such a good decision. The Cold Killer room is very hard and complicated, but cleverly done. The staff member guiding us was into the role and made it a great experience too. All in all a super fun afternoon to spend as a team!

I have done 2 out of the 3 escape rooms here, the cold case killer and predestined. Both the rooms and the host were great! The host did a great job setting the tone for the rooms and getting you excited for what’s to come. I also liked that both rooms were set up to where everyone could simultaneously to solve puzzles, it’s not as linear as other escape rooms I have been to. I will for sure be back with my group to give the ventriloquist a go!

We went to the box as a family, and had a great time. This would be fun for teenagers, adults and team building activities. We will definitely be back!

Went for the cold case and it was a great time. They are masters of creating ambience with the lighting and music. Great room.

Had a great evening. The whole experience was well thought out and executed flawlessly. Definitely going back even though we left with the L in the cold case room. 2 more to try and win though!

Went to The Box escape Room last night and went through Predestined. I had a blast and the four other people who went had a great time too. I had never been to an escape room so have nothing to compare it to, but I plan on going to the other two rooms they have. Others in the group have been to other escape rooms and they thought this one was excellent. The host, Andy, was very cool and made the experience even better. I highly recommend. (Our group of five had ages that ranged from early twenties to early fifties. This is a great thing to do with a group like ours. Everyone contributed and had a blast.)

Predestined and Cold Case Killer were on point in terms of being challenging yet fun. The decor of the lobby area and Roberto being in character really sets the mood of the escape room themes in a positive way. This may be especially fun to do at night for the highest level of scare or shock factor. Both rooms did not disappoint.

We enjoyed The Box Escape Room very much. The puzzles were tricky but not impossible. The story was fun and the different parts all tied together well. It was fun for both our semi experienced players and our new player alike. We highly recommend you try them!

This was the VERY BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! We had a blast! You want to bring your whole crew and come escape these rooms! The Ventriloquist Room was so Challenging.. We made it out with 15 secs to go & used only 2 clues! Our guide was so awesome also!

Predestined has to be the best room I’ve done so for. I have done six others so far and Predestined was the best in difficulty and story by far. My group finished it with only 29 seconds to spare. Was very exhilarating when working with only seconds on the clock. Highly recommended and can’t wait to do the other two rooms.

Great storyline, the clues were sufficient but not at all easy, host was fantastic and fun. I highly recommend trying this place.

I can not express enough how amazing this place is! I have been to two of the rooms, my boyfriend has done three. My favorite of the two I did was Cold Case because the story line was great!! I loved Predestined as well and if you like difficult puzzles this one would be great, it’s the most difficult of them all. My boyfriend did the ventriloquist and he says it is the best escape room he has ever gone to and we have gone to several! I highly recommend people to come. I will be back again to do the Ventriloquist with my family since I still have yet to do this one. Also the gentleman there is amazing at staying in character. There was a girl their as well that was very kind with our kids. She stayed in character and my little 10 year old niece jumped into character with her. We did them all with kids each time we have gone ages 10-12, some things are a little difficult for them but they did help discover clues a few times. They really enjoyed it and so did we.

Played both Predestined and Cold Case Killers. Our team of 4 found the rooms fun, challenging and immersive. The puzzles, challenges and story all fit the theme and made for an amazing time. I definitely recommend these rooms for beginners as well as avid escapers. The Box is immersive from the time you walk in to the time you leave with a smile.

IT WAS AMAZING... My family and I went there not knowing what to expect, a horror show maybe, the place was empty waited for someone to come and greet us for a min or 2, I looked behind me and this dude was there.. he scared the living stuff out of us. We spent 2 hours there and would have stayed longer if it wasnt for my kids getting hungry. A memorable experience and for sure we will go again in our next visit to Charlotte. Thanks for the experience and a story my daughters get to tell their friends.

The Box is dope!! Cold Case was my second time doing an escape room—and this time was even better than the first.Roberto was an awesome guide. He stayed in character the entire time and only gave us hints when it seemed like we were stuck. I’ll be back to continue the storyline soon.

This was my first experience with escape rooms and I have to say that it was an incredible experience. Our host, who worked Friday during 1-2pm, was a fabulous character and enhanced my enjoyment ten told. The Cold Case Killer was perfect in everyway and Im so glad I this was my first time because I am certainly hooked

I loved the room (Cold Case Killer), the decor, and the host were wonderful! The only issue I had was with the flow and pacing of the room. I have done multiple escape rooms and this one seemed to be the least cohesive in terms of one clue naturally leading to another. I know our group could have not finished the room if we didnt get a hint for the first puzzle! We also finished 15 minutes early, which is the fastest I have ever done an escape room. It just kind of ended. We got out and couldnt believe it was over. These issues could have just been with my group though! Overall I would definitely return to The Box.

The Box... It sounds claustrophobic, getting your blood pressure up even before you arrive. New to this location, we didnt quite know what to expect, but what a spooky treat!! We were quickly greeted by the eager caretaker, Andy. Without skipping a beat, we were ushered in, and our journey began. We were brought up to date with our tale by the appropriately dressed puppet master, if you will. With warnings of the Ventriloquist looming over us, we headed into the theater with caution... would we make it out and help Timmy? Only time would tell. As Andy bid us adieu and locked us into the darkness...Tick Tock. Highly suggested for enthusiastic host, quality puzzles, and a spooky good time.Without any spoilers, it was definitely fun for adults, but nothing a teenager couldnt handle. Check it out!!

Our group recently completed all 3 of the rooms at The Box and came away very impressed! We have done over a dozen rooms in Charlotte at multiple locations and The Box is definitely one of the best. We received a warm welcome from Andy when we were scheduling and were greeted upon arrival with one of the best intro experiences ever. Our host was friendly, helpful and got us into the mood and theme with a wonderful performance in character. All the rooms were extremely well done thematically and featured great puzzle design, balance, and flow. Even the hint system was well thought out and integrated to be consistent with the themes. You can tell Andy and his team have a real passion for escape rooms and care about each and every guest. We had a fantastic time and were able to escape every room. There are so many rooms in Charlotte, it is hard to know which ones are the best so hopefully, this review will help guide others to The Box as one of the best escape experiences in town.

My group has done all of the rooms currently available at The Box and each room is well-designed. The puzzles are engaging and entertaining, and the set design and ambiance is gorgeous- some of the best work in Charlotte.

We went for the ventriloquist room but were too freaked out, they were amazing and put us into the predestined room! These guys take the plot lines seriously and treat their guests to a truly unique experience! I would highly recommend this place and am definitely going to go back to try the other rooms!

I cant rave about these guys enough! First off, the owners, Andy, Hilda, and Hilton are absolutely amazing. Anyone that spends even five minutes talking to this crew can tell how passionate they truly are about their rooms and the experience they provide to their guests.
