Really fun place to go with your friends. We did the Ruins course and the hints they gave were helpful to where we were able to escape. It was pretty dark despite the light we were given but it was enjoyable regardless. The experience went in depth and felt exciting to complete.

This was our first experience going through an escape room. We had such a blast we went back the very next day and did another one. Our two game masters, Kelly and Lindsay did a phenomenal job helping us escape The Mansion. It was very well put together and definitely gave us a run for our money.The second day, we had just as much fun escaping The Ruins with the help of Kelly and Taylor, our two game masters!Keep up the good work Exit Strategy North. Cant wait to come back!

Had lots of fun with my friends doing the Ruins room! There’s a bit of sand on the floor, and it is a bit dark, but otherwise the puzzles were well made and made you feel like Indiana Jones. Lindsay was a fantastic host, she was great help and her energy was amazing! Wish we asked for more hints!

This experience was so much fun for Halloween! My friends and I had an amazing time and we made it through with a minute to spare. This was an awesome team building exercise! The puzzles were quite creative! Christine did an excellent job as our butler for the Mansion Room. Tyris was such an amazing help whenever we were stuck, his hints helped us think towards the answers we needed! 10/10 experience!! I cant wait to go again for another great time!

So much fun! We tried ruins and were truly impressed! Lindsay was just spectacular! We also got a very nice service from Kelly. The puzzles are great, the rooms beautiful and the staff passionate. Will definitely come again.

I love this place, the rooms are so detailed and realistic. My significant other and I have been twice. We played The Mansion the first time with Ethan as our game master and Subject Zero the second time with Kelly as our game master. Both were awesome and made the experience more enjoyable. I give both of them a . Ive been to many escape rooms with game masters that really didnt care to help, explain, or make the room enjoyable so to have them really put effort and energy into their job was great.

We had a GREAT time at Exit Strategy North! Our Game Masters, Christine and Kelly, were awesome! From the time we arrived, they made our party of six feel so welcome! We were there to celebrate our Mom’s 84th birthday! We had a great time and she especially enjoyed it! It was our first time at an Escape Room and we were not disappointed! We highly recommend Exit Strategy North, and we hope to go back!

On our honeymoon and this by far was one of the best escape rooms we have done (we have done at least 50+ escape rooms around the country)! Thank you Lindsay and Ethan for such an awesome time! We look forward to coming back sometime in the future!

He played the soldier for Subject Zero perfectly and stayed in character when we needed hints! This was our first time at the north location, but we’ve done two others at the south Charlotte one! We love Exit Strategy more than the other escape room places, mainly because of how themed and detailed everything is!!

We’ve completed 2 rooms at the North location so far and both were such fun experiences! Everyone who works here is super friendly and helpful. We especially love Kim, she made the Ruins room awesome with her acting and clues. We’ve also done the mansion which was really fun and unforgettable. These are the highest quality rooms and materials we’ve come across in escape room and we can’t wait to explore more at the South location. Such fun nights out with friends!

Our team had an absolute blast at Exit Strategy!The escape room is a great place to go for a fun team building event. It forced our team to work together and communicate effectively. We had 10 people and are still talking about it a week later at work. Captain Crunch AKA Taylor did a great job explaining the objectives/ environment. The difficulty level is not a joke or understated, even with our group of experienced gamers. We left feeling more connected and energized as a team. Exit Strategy is the ONLY escape room that can challenge me and also have fun! Kelly and Matt (from the north location) helped us and were super nice throughout our entire experience. Escape room enthusiast giving a gold star to this place. Highly recommended! One of the best in Charlotte.So much to see! Many of the scenarios involve multiple rooms and each room is well designed. They actually took the time to make the rooms look like jungles, or ancient ruins, or a haunted house. Sound and lighting also add to the atmosphere. I love escape rooms that immerse and this company plunges you into their stories.The puzzles are fun! They do rely heavily on locks, but having to find the combinations in a variety of ways makes up for it. They do implement other puzzles, mechanical and electronic, which are my preferred puzzles and they designed them superbly.I do have to say some of their puzzles are not very obvious. You have to experiment A LOT just to get to the point of knowing what to do next. Or, a puzzle requires a repetitive action numerous times and you give up too soon because it seems nothing is happening. I wish they added something for those, but it doesn’t break the game. Our group has done over 200 escape rooms combined and we had to ask for a clue in two of the rooms, so not the easiest rooms but still doable.

So much fun! When we initially got there Jay greeted us in a friendly and professional way. He was very welcoming. When I walked in I had never done an escape room and he made me feel comfortable right away. The location was clean and welcoming with computer screens giving information about the various rooms and what the success rate was for escaping. We were asked to fill out waivers as well which were easy to read, understand and get filled out.As we waited for the rest of our party to come, there were shirts you could buy displayed around the room, there were pictures of people who had escaped and who had not, as well as a display of wooden tokens for each of the games. There was a yes side and no side for each room, showing how many had escaped and how many had not.After the waivers were filled out and our whole party got there we were given a general idea about escape rooms, safety, etc. We were provided a locker to put our things into as no drinks, food, cells, etc are allowed in the room, just us.We then stepped into another room and were given general safety information and then watched a video on how the escape room worked. We were led back to the area were our room was and given basic information and then we were left. And so began our adventure in The Mansion.There was a butler, Kelly, that met us and made us feel welcome in the home. Unfortunately she was killed and the master of the house was going to frame us unless we could get out. So our task began.As you begin your task it is difficult but not impossible. You are provided an intercom to use to ask for hints. During part of our evening, one of the items did not function correctly and a voice came over, telling us what we needed to know that we would have missed with that portion of the game not there.We did manage to get out with about 4 minutes left. We cheered and felt super excited. Aaron met us when we escaped and his first question was So did you guys have fun? We all responded that we had and he congratulated us. He seemed to meet our excitement with his own and he seemed to be as happy for us getting out as we were. We were led back through a well lit back hallway back to the front.We were given a token to all put our names on and then put into the yes we escaped display in the front hall. Very proud moment for all of us. Aaron offered to take our picture in front of their green wall and give us a physical picture and digital for $5 or he could take our picture by the escape room wall for free. We took the free option this time.I had such a great time and I would highly recommend it to anyone even considering an escape room. This one made me feel perfectly safe. People were welcoming from beginning to end and I am looking forward to scheduling my next try there.Thank you so much to Jay, Kelly, and Aaron for making my first escape room experience a fantastic, memorable experience. I will DEFINITELY be back.

What an amazing escape room experience! We tried the mansion and it absolutely blew our expectations out of the water. Very clean and professional with challenging but very fun and engaging puzzles. Not to mention, Kelly and Christine were wonderful! Very courteous and helpful throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend exit strategy north if you’re considering trying an escape room in the Charlotte area.

We have gone twice, now. Both times, weve barely been able to finish. With only a few minutes left and two clues used, we felt very challenged when having the maximum group size. Our premade of four usually matches up with others. We have now gone through 5+ escape rooms each, and feel relatively confident in our ability to get through these games. This time, Christine was our game master. She did a wonderful job of setting the tone for the game, as well as providing help clues that did not give away the challenge.

My friends and I chose to do “the mansion”! this isn’t the first time that we’ve done an escape room, and i found that this was one of my favorites that i’ve ever done! Kelly and Christine made us feel welcome and did an amazing job walking us through the escape room! they were lovely and our time here was so great!! i would recommend exit strategy north for everyone!!

I came here on a Friday with a group of 7 other people. We did the Mansion puzzle room and I was impressed with the level of detail in the decorations. The room did not have as many physical puzzles as it did word ones, but overall that was fine. It was challenging but doable and we had a fun time. Our hosts Kelly and Christine were also great!

We had a group of 6 and we did the Mansion escape room. We went to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday. We had an excellent experience and we had so much fun at Exit Strategy North. Our master was Kelly Christine and she was awesome. She made us have the best time ever and made our overall experience 5 stars. Highly recommended.

Good customer service and rooms. I would recommend the project zero room the most. Very engaging, good for 4+ people. I wouldnt recommend bringing more than 3 people into the Mansion, very linear with a few abnormal latches/doors. Below pictures show success/failure (left/right) rate for each room.

I did my first escape room today at Exit Strategy North! We did the Mansion room and had such an awesome time. Kelly was an amazing game master and was so kind and helpful! Christine was also amazing and kind and was an amazing “butler!” All in all it was an amazing experience and my group and I will be back soon to do another room!

I visited Exit Strategy with my mom and my teenage son. We had so much fun!! We did The Mansion and it was incredibly challenging but very interactive and the staff was WONDERFUL! Lindsay and Kelly are the absolute best and did so much to make our visit really memorable that we decided to return the following night and do the ruins. We will definitely be back to try out all the rooms! My teenager said it was as much fun as a video game. If you are looking to do something different that is fun for all ages but challenging as well, THIS IS IT!

My group had an amazing time! We went through the ruins and it was challenging, really had to think through several of the puzzles. Kelly was so great and helpful throughout our adventure. We will definitely be going back very soo .

We were helped by Lindsey, Christine and Matt. We did the Mansion room. It was awesome. We live 2 hours away and rarely get a date without a kid. We had an awesome date and a great time. We have done escape rooms once before at other companies and Exit Strategy is now our favorite company. The great staff and the details in the rooms made this an unforgettable experience. We will be back at some point when we can swing it.

My dad and I did 4 rooms today- 2 at Exit Strategy North and 2 at Exit Strategy South. We enjoyed all 4 rooms, but I must say Ruins’ set and puzzles were extraordinary! Taylor and Christine were wonderful at Exit Strategy North. I can’t remember the name of the wonderful lady who helped us at the South location but she was great as well. We had a blast at Exit Strategy and can’t wait to return in the future!

We had my 17 yo birthday party here last week and everyone had a great time! Its hard to figure out what to do with a group of teenagers and luckily we came to this Exit Strategy. We had two great hostesses (Taylor and Christine B.) that made the experience over the top! Well be back!

We did the spy room as a team building exercise for work. It was amazing! It was a really difficult room but very fun. Taylor was giving us clues and she was great! Will definitely be back with friends for other rooms.

Ruins was our favorite escape room so far! Super-high-quality theme with challenging, but solvable puzzles. Its the easiest room they have apparently, but we still needed a couple of hints. We got out with two minutes to spare! Super fun, and Taylor was a great host.

Our work team went for team building and came away closer than ever! Taylor, our game master, was great in explaining the expectations and how we could get the most out of the experience! I have done several escape rooms and I absolutely love Exit Strategy. This was my first time at the North location and we played Ruins. It was amazing! So we’ll done! The puzzles were challenging but so much fun! Taylor was our host and she was great! So nice and made the room even more fun by playing her character so well!

Imagine taking your problem solving skills to another level. Then take that to the next level. Thats what it takes to come out on top of this great game. We had a blast and cant wait to go again. My team was my family members ranging from the kids to their Grammy. It took all of us working together to figure out how to leave the room. Took us an hour u think with a few clues but it was great.

Had some time during a business trip and played the Ruins solo. I highly recommend this game. Among the better executed ones out of my 70 rooms all around the world. Loved it as a player an an owner. Not easy but definitely fun if youre serious about escape rooms. Kelly did an awesome job and really got into character. I hope to play other games if I make it to Charlotte again. Keep up the good work.

We did Ruin last Monday and had a ball! Taylor was awesome and even gave us an extra minute because we were right at the end and she took pity on us old men who couldn’t see anything in the dark in the last room! Great room, definitely different than your average escape room. 10/10 recommend!

Escaped from the “Ruins” room with two friends. Excellent experience with fun puzzles and I really felt as if I was in an ancient temple. Our game master, Christine or “Pearl”, was helpful and hilarious!

We did the mansion, and escaped! Kelly needs to be on Broadway her acting was amazing! Taylor was also very helpful, giving us all the hints we needed, when we asked. A little scary at points, fun none the less. Love this place definitely coming back for a different room.

I have been here many times in the past with family and coworkers both. I always have a positive experience, the staff is extremely kind and flexible( i.e. they are understanding if you are 15+ minutes late ) and always provide an incredibly immersive room experience. You won’t be disappointed by any of the room’s effects or nifty features and story. Special shoutouts go to Lindsey, Ethan, and Matt! Aways happy to see them working the rooms and desk when we come in. Ethan was running his first room our last time and we couldn’t tell at all, if you do Mansion just hope that you get Ethan!

Our visit here was definitely an unforgettable experience (in a good way, obviously.) We didnt escape Barutas revenge, but we can go back for do-overs at a discount, which is a new thing to me and is absolutely awesome. Our gamemaster, Kelly, was a total rockstar. After the game, she weathered our barrage of questions like a champ. Im excited to go back!

What an awesome experience! We have played 3 out of the 5 rooms at Exit Strategy North, and we can’t wait to try the other two! The rooms are very theatrical and immersive, which makes it very fun and easy to dive right into. There is plenty to do, and we found ourselves racing the clock in each room. Hints are provided as needed, and working together to get out makes it really great for a group of friends. I highly recommend this company!!

Christian was a great coach. We have been to other escape rooms in Gaitlinburg and a Pigeon Forge and Exit Strategy North was superior. We will be back.

My daughter and I visited this weekend (North Location). This was our first time going to an escape room, and I must say it was a great, entertaining experience! Staff was wonderful/ friendly. We chose “ The Mansion” room. The acting/ props were excellent. Unfortunately we didn’t make it out in time️, but we made it pretty far. I highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again soon.

We did the ruins room. This was hands down the most well themed and fully immersive escape room I have ever done!! I was amazed by the quality of this room. Our game master Kelly did a fantastic job sticking in character and was super friendly with us after the game. The only thing keeping me from giving this experience 5 stars was the lighting in the room. While the dimly lit ruins make the experience feel even more real, if I can see the clues and things around me it makes the room so much more difficult. While lanterns are provided, I wish they had given off more light. I still would 10000% recommend this place to those looking for a top notch escape room.

So far we have done The Ruins and The Mansion. The pros are as follows: The staff is very nice always, and helpful. The rooms are great, I love that the rooms we have done so far are multi-room, you arent just stuck in one room the whole time. It allows for more people in your group to be actively working on puzzles and clues so that you arent tripping over each other. I also feel like the price per person is fair.The cons: This is why I can only give Exit Strategy 3 stars. I would give it 3 and a half if I could. We have came across certain puzzles in the room that there is no way for anyone to have figured them out, or used a clue provided in the room to solve the puzzle. We asked for a clue, and still even them walking us through it step by step, we couldnt complete it. At the end I asked the staff personnel how is someone supposed to know how to get through that puzzle? Their reply was that you either had to just know, or been a boy scout. That to me is ridiculous. All your tools for success in terms of making it out of the room, should be given to you in the room to allow you to figure it out. All 8 of us agreed that puzzles like that should never have been placed in the room.It would also be great if there were more staff interactions with the room, such as while youre working, someone in costume coming in and scaring people, like at Black Out. All in all, still a great place for clean fun and we will be returning.

My husband and I did The Ruins with a couple of our couple friends last weekend. We had a blast! Kelly, our game master was so fun and helpful! We solved the room, with a few of her very helpful hints. If you haven’t tried an escape room with exit strategy, you need to- they aren’t your ordinary escape rooms and they are so much fun!

The staff here are very friendly. My friends and I did the Ruins and Donna was our game master. She was really in character which I loved. The room was really fun and had lots of levels. Will be coming back to do subject zero.

Best escape room yet! This is only my third room, but it blew away the others. The location, the staff, the quality of the room and attention to detail was great. Multiple connecting rooms, small groups, very immersive. Aaron was a fantastic puzzle master! Never had one with staff interaction before, and even the clues we got were still given in character! Will definitely be back to do their other rooms!

I didn’t expect love acting, which was really cool! My group did the mansion, and out of 3 escape rooms I’ve done this has been the best. The triggers to open doors and etc were very clever.

My student organization came to Exit Strategy as a team building experience and it was so much more than that!!! Amanda was a great guide and provided us with a lot of laughs and a lifetime experience we will all remember. Thank you Exit Strategy and Amanda for the awesome experience we will never forget!! Been to this location many times! All the rooms are unique and challenging in their own ways. I’ve been helped by Christian and Aaron, Kelly and Lindsay. They have all been so fun and helpful when we need it. I have 2 more rooms at the north location and I can’t wait to give them a shot
