Beautiful beach, not too crowded even on a beautiful summer day, parking is limited. Would have given 5 stars Id the restrooms were better. For a 30.00 parking fee, youd expect the restrooms to be cleaner. The womens restroom was kind of gross and all the stalls didnt all have toilet paper.

Very clean and beautiful beach. It gets really busy but it is well organized. The beach is open till 9pm but the main restrooms close at 4:45. You can use the portopoties after 4:45. My son loved running into the water but the waves are relatively strong for toddlers so stay close to them. Parking lot gets full fast so get there early or be patient for spaces to open up.

Very clean beach. Hardly any rocks or shells. Waves are usually pretty large and strong. Parking usually costs $20. There are bathrooms that close at 5pm with an outdoor shower to rinse your feet and self off quick before heading home. There are life guards on duty from 9am-5pm. Good place to boogie board. Dont recommend little children going here as the under toe and waves are too strong. Very peaceful and less crowded than Misquamicut.

I used to consider this a hidden favorite, but it seems the hype has caught on in that this past visit it was extremely packed already at 9 a.m. & the tiny parking lot filled up already by 8 a.m.The bathroom facilities are much better than you would expect for a small tucked away beach. The water actually does warm up more than most beaches so temperature wise it is tolerable, but be aware the waves are always intense.

Own a condo on street for 28 years. Lovely place to be but wish the street owners had their own private beach. When hot and busy sometimes we taxpayers are turned away. No problem when I was younger and thought nothing about walking but with old age I am forced to drive and then though we have resident parking that too is too small. There are days when try 3 times before I have success. I must say the people are all nice and no leaves a mess. They do pick up at least where I sit. After 52 years of being a Ct summer resident on a private beach R.I. is different.i love it but think it was a mistake to buy property without a private beach association is a mistake and will only get to be larger problem as the years go by. I think winter and summer residents should consider this as they have such beautiful beaches and their beach property could be increased in value with more private associations. I also think it is great for day trippers to have somewhere to go which makes me understand when all winter residents breath a sigh of relief when the summer people close up their cottages and head home after Labor Day

We came from CT. & would of liked to been able to take a walk to some stores or get something to eat or maybe have some water activities available. It was clean & they have bathrooms. The waves were awesome so it depends on what u want to do. There are other beaches close by that offer more

Clean beach, $20 weekday parking, $25 weekends/holidays. Not too much “beach” to choose from due to nesting grounds, however there is a marker to prohibit beach umbrellas closer to shore, which is nice so there isn’t umbrellas up to the waterBATHROOM had toilet paper all over the floor, but is run on a compost system to be more economically friendly.Would be nice if there were some type of ice cream stand or sno cone stand, it would be nice on a hot day!!

I love this beach and have been coming here for 25 years. In all that time I have never experienced what happened today. It was 90 degrees, sunny, light wind, perfect beach day! The whole beach was full of nasty biting flies, like small horse flies. Wer couldnt get away from them except by going in the nice refreshing water. However once in the sea we could feel little pellets catching in our fingers. They were like clear globules of jelly. Not sure what they were but it was unpleasant.

The waves were the illest curls North of the Dewey/Rehobeth area, and I was so focused on shredding liners and wrapping rollers that I didn’t even care that one of the good-lookin lifeguards (“JG” is what everyone called him) totally stole my girl. Not even mad; the beautiful weather and waves made it more than a fair trade. Goodbye Sarah, best of luck “JG”, and I will definitely be back to shred more gnar!

Review №76

A quiet beach with life guarded area. There is a parking area, but fills up quickly in the morning during the high season. Once the lot is filled there is no other place to park. This contributes to a beach that is never too crowded. Also, great for long walks. By 4PM the beach begins to thin out, which gives the area a more secluded feel.

This is just like all the other Rhode Island beaches, which are absolutely wonderful. Theyre huge, so lots of room to spread out, and the have big waves, which are nice. This also has a very easy acsess, and a restrooms building, a few nice things that make this place stick out from the rest. Good beach to go to.
