I always thoroughly enjoy coming here. I used to live in CR and been going here since it opened. I live in Iowa City and still make the drive to go. Worth it. Game selection is great, prices for them are fair, 25¢-50¢, and a good selection of free to play games. Food and drinks are good too. Bar staff is super nice. They dont have a set cocktail/mixed drink menu, but they will make almost anything you want if they have the ingredients. Prices for drinks are really good too. Happy hour is $3 house beers.Always a fun time, great atmosphere, and they definitely raise the bar on bar food and drinks. They also have fun events.

I was part of a group of about 30 who had a private party at QB. The service was amazing-very accommodating for our group. They allowed us to bring a cake in- we were celebrating a birthday- and they provided extra plastic ware, which I had overlooked bringing. It could’ve been a huge inconvenience for them, but they were just amazing! And the black bean burger was one of the best I’ve ever had- I was super excited that a few vegan menu options were available. We will be back!

Will not be back. We came in on Sunday 2/2 about noon was not busy. My daughter ordered a gluten free pizza my granddaughter ordered chicken strips and we ordered a pepperoni pizza. The other family ordered a pepperoni pizza and a appetizer. They came back was out of gluten free crust so she ordered a cheese burger and salad. They brought out the cheeseburger and salad and the chicken strips. They put croutons on the salad so she couldnt eat it. The chicken strips was burnt. 10 minutes later our pizza came out. And about a half hour later the other families pizza came out crust was doughy they didnt send back cause everyone else was already done eating. And they forgot the appetizer. The whole purpose for us to go out for lunch together is to eat together. For the price we should of went to McDonalds.

I think that the idea feels amazing and the execution is decent. A word in the kitchen. I had the chicken sandwich. The bun was good. The BBQ sauce tasted decent. The slaw was kind of limp, the cabbage had no real texture. It wasnt slimey, it just wasnt good. The chicken... Im conflicted. Frying a chicken breast for a sandwich is a simple task but the execution proves true know-how in the kitchen. My chicken breast was unevenly cooked. The thickness wasnt consistent so youll get dry bits and moist bits. Overall it still seemed overcooked. The breading fell apart. It felt like the chicken didnt rest after it was fried before it was plated. A piece of fried chicken needs a great crunch, and thats one place it was lacking. The breading must have had spices in it because it tasted slightly burnt and the appearance was very dark, nearly burnt overall. The service was fine, but I was confused be what felt like inexperience from the kitchen. They have a decent menu, but chicken shouldnt be a dish you mess up. I dont believe I will be coming back anytime soon.Edit: I was there Sunday Evening around 6:00 pm.

My kid and I were here on a late Sun afternoon and had to wait about 20 min.s for a table, just what the hostess predicted. While we waited for our pizzas my kid played a few fun arcade games. My veggie pizza was loaded with toppings and they happily accommodated my request to modify it slightly. The only complaint I have is that it was almost too loud to talk across the table but that’s what we expected given the environment. Staff was all really friendly and the price was less than what we would pay in Mpls for comparable food.

Came here for the first time this week for a work party. Been meaning to check it out for a while. It did not disappoint! First of all, every pizza I tried was excellent. Best crust I’ve had in town. And had no idea they make their own beer. Their Oktoberfest is spot on. Didn’t play many games as the place was packed but will definitely be back soon to do so.

We went on a Saturday night, which is probably the worst time to go. The noise was extreme. I suggest they install sound deadening tiles on the ceiling and walls. There were a lot of children, which is not what I had hoped. Bordered on Chucky cheese. Most of the kids were gone by 8:30. We had three types of pizza, which were really good. However, the stuffed pepper appetizer was so full of green chiles, that was all that could be tasted. Also, it was not served with enough bread to make a reasonable bite with each piece of stuffed pepper. Im not going to rush back. If you do want to, go late, so you wont have to listen and compete with the children for the arcade games. However, if you want to show you kids a good time, this might be the place to go.

Great food, awesome games, fun venue, but service was non-existent. When we arrived it wasnt busy at all but it took a while to get seated. After we sat, another employee other than our server took notice of how long we waited at our table and came to take our drink order. Lack of attention continued throughout our stay, so we went to the bar to get more drinks. We played some games and then returned to our table and waited. Finally went to the bar once again to settle up. Seemed like a lot of friends of the staff hanging out and taking up staffs attention

If I come back, itll be for the gaming... wont be for the food or service.Ordered a salad. Lettuce was brown in spots, and definitely didnt taste anywhere close to fresh. The ranch had the consistency of milk, not creamy at all.Cucumbers were dry and yellow in the middle. My daughter loves cucumbers, 2 bites and done with them. There were other complaints about the food, but I lost my appetite to even try the other trays. The service was less than par. Orders were double ordered, placed at the wrong table, or didnt go through at all. She was very polite and had good customer service. As someone who has a gluten intolerance, the Quater Barrel is my go to place. They have extensive food options for those of us who have trouble ordering off other restaurants menus. Not only do we have options, but the flavors are all there. They literally have the best gluten free pizza crust Ive ever tasted and you can only get it at the Quater Barrel because they make it in house. This restaurant cares deeply about their food and menu. Honestly, when coming to Cedar Rapids, and youre looking for a great place to eat with a fun environment, I cant recommend the Quarter Barrel enough. You have to give it a try, and definetly get the gluten free crust. Its that good.

Moderately expensive, but fun! My 10 yr old had a blast with the arcade games, she even wants to have her birthday there. But the foods a little over priced. Its not the best pizza, could have been better, wish they had more options, better pizza sauce, fresher ingredients. It was worth the arcade, but not worth the food. Just an suggestion but they need to redo their entire menu, try street tacos and burgers.

Suddenly nobody was our server. Took 10 minutes to get a bartender to take our order. Waited 45 minutes for our pizza before we finally got the attention of another bartender and he went and got it... had been sitting waiting for a while. Had to flag someone down for a soda. Never asked if we wanted more to drink. Disappointing service. Would get carry out if I was in the area again but otherwise Ill pass.

First ever google review: Came from Iowa City as a family of four because we had heard great things about the place. We promised our kids pizza and arcade games. No one else was at hostess stand, or anyone in foyer. After waiting a few minutes, waitress addressed us. She looked at her paper list, which had all the names crossed off and told us it would be a two hour wait(one to tables open still). Shocked, we said ok well we would likely go. She said she understood. We decided to let the kids play a few arcade games before we left. A few minutes later, four adults came and requested a table. The same waitress said it shouldnt be too long but she would check(still same tables open). As she turned from talking with them, I asked what she told them the wait would be. She replied she hasnt said anything yet. She came back and told them hour and a half hesitantly. I asked to speak with manager. Manager claimed waitress was new and it could be due to previous reservations. Waste of our time and will never give them our business or recommendation.

Poor service. Twice in the past few weeks, I went in with a couple other people when the place wasnt busy. Though a sign at the front told us to wait to be seated, no server came to greet us either time, so we finally just picked a table. Both times, no one brought us menus, so after a few minutes we went up to the bar and grabbed some grease-stained ones ourselves. Finally, someone came to take our drink orders. After bringing the drinks, the server left without offering to take our food order, and it was another 6 or 7 minutes before he came back. Again, there were only a couple other tables with people in the whole bar, so Im not sure what the holdup was. When my order arrived, the fries were room-temperature and hard, and the two tiny chicken sliders were tasty enough but hardly filling, even though it was an entree. The games are fun, but I dont plan to eat dinner here again.
