Pennsylvania fly fishing history was news to me, so much of the sport, techniques, tied flies & and the science of it developed here in Pennsylvania with Penn State University. I wish they had a docent or knew when a class was taught.

I like fly fishing so I found this museums exhibits interesting. It is a quiet self guided tour kind of place. Not many visitors when I visited. The building sits near the Letort creek.

If you love Pennsylvania flyfishing and history then this is a must see, I spent four and a half hours reading the material of all the legends fathers of flyfishing in Pennsylvania some who are still around and some who are no longer and the legacy lives on.

Walk among legends of Fly Fishings current Heros and those who have passed on. The displays are educational and inspirational. When visiting you never know who you may run into its quite possible you will meet someone whos work is displayed there in person. They have a tendency to visit the museum and chat with those visiting. Make sure to visit the museums website and provide a donation of your choice to ensure Pennsylvanias fly fishing history is available for generations to come .
