This was our first ti.e camping here. There are 3 different types of campsites: regular, premium, RV hookup. We went with the regular site for $35. It wasnt bad.We had to move the wooden picnic table so our tent could fit on the grassy area and not on the concrete driveway.. so thats a negative. We got to hear the ocean all day/night long!!

A great beach away from the tourist crowd. It is also generally warmer the the other beaches because it is sheltered from the wind. You can take a long walk with your dog all the way down to shipwreck.

This place is gorgeous. Spots are big enough to where you dont feel like you are camping in a subdivision. Would give them 5 stars, but one of the volunteers that staff the gate was rude enough to my girlfriend (outside my presence) that I was sorely tempted to go have a discussion about customer service with him. Also, would not want to have a dog here. Massive hedges of poison oak everywhere (see pic)

Beautiful area, great staff, host was very friendly. Our sites were big and plenty of room for our vehicles. It was a little confusing at first to find our sites, but once we were settled, we realized how easy it is to get around the campground.Views of the ocean are extremely beautiful. Wish we could have stayed longer than a night, next time.

Its a camping sight. Whats not to love? Its right off of the beach. The camping sights are separated enough so that they are semi private the restrooms were really close to ours and access to water was off a few feet off of our campsite. I really enjoyed my stay.

New Brighton is an okay Beach but if Im going to go to the beach Im going to go to Rio del Mar esplanade.its really the same Beach but it is more to the center of the area and there are services there like a restaurant, a coffee shop, a bar and a deli and lots of parking. Plus you have the choice of walking on the beach or taking the 1-mile pathway adjacent to the Beach to the right. Facing the ocean you can drive down to the left to the extension Beach and past that there is no enforcement for dog leash rules and you can walk for miles down to seascape & beyond.

Tent camper in a premium bluff site across from me was using a porta-pottie in their tent. Saw them dump their human waste over the fence down the bluff 4 times in two days.Generators running till 1030pm. Be ready for typical summer campers with no respect for park or their neighbors.General maintenance is worst Ive seen in last 15 years. Restrooms look like they havent been cleaned in 6 months. Toilets and sinks are full of black mold. Bottoms of toilet seats caked with feces. I was here 7 weeks ago and its gotten worse.Bring what you need to prevent infectious diseases..beach is nice.

Like being in the country with forest trees except your in Santa Cruz county. Capitola is short stroll, maybe 1mile. The village is a nice destination AND theres several bars and restaurants. Bench seating on the strand, surfing and even a wading pool for the younguns. For RVers like us, you can empty your tanks. No store on premises.

The park rangers have a horrible attitude. My RV broke down and they act like I can just snap my fingers and it’s fixed. I wish it worked that way otherwise they wouldn’t have been yelling at me like it was an intentional breakdown threatening to have it towed. Umm..I already tried that but it’s too big for the company AAA contracts with in this area and I’m not about to spend a fortune I do not have when we were fixing it. Sorry for the inconvenience. Otherwise it’s a nice, quiet place that’s beautiful.
