Beautiful place to spend a quiet morning. Plenty of surfers to watch, birds to admire, and solitude to ponder. Parking is 3 hours max.

The best park with iconic views. Stunning area for pictures and a great way to have fun in the sun. Family friendly beach with a great south swell surf spot. Be ready for long waiting time for parking and access.

One of those iconic beach parks in the country. Came before the beach construction and now even though theres less to walk on the beach but its still a pretty beautiful place. Maybe come back after the construction? Then you can enjoy more.

Favorite place to take children. Nice ocean waves, lots of younger learning to surf. Can be difficult to find parking space. All meter accepts credit cards. Easy to drop off family stop, then Park up to main road .

Small, cute place to walk around. A bit crowded and if you walk to the very end it smells of sewage which doesnt seem to stop people from playing in the water. Despite that its a beautiful area to explore. No dogs allowed on the beach just fyi.

Perfect little learn to surf spot for kids and beginners. I come here and paint too, it’s a very typically quaint and beautiful California beach town. Parking is a challenge, get here before 10am in summer weekends. Plenty of food options, cute shops and bathrooms.

A place along the seaside, with some good view and some benches. Nothing extraordinary, but very nice, still.This seaside village is recommended for a walk, if youre passing by this area.

Our favorite beach. Crowded during the week over summer because of junior guards, but other than that we love this beach. Nice cove for my younger kiddos to boogie board in, great area for my older son to surf, shops and restaurants very close. Parking can be difficult and if you park in metered areas you are constantly feeding the meter and moving your car as those spots have 3 hour limits.

Beautiful and peaceful early in the morning and when it isnt tourist season. Lots of cute shops and lots of places to eat.

Its a gorgeous little beach right in downtown Capitola! Very child and family friendly! My only complaint is that recent storms seem to have covered the beach with smelly seaweed which hasnt been cleaned up.

Nice little park with great views. There are many small parkings around and big parking lot in 5-10 minutes of walk. Looks like this place is good for surfing - there are many if them in the ocean in front of the park. Many places to eat around park. Sushi, pizza, Mexican, British.

Fun area for families with part of beach for boogie boards, surfing and paddle boarding. Rentals on site, clean restrooms, outside shower and stage for live music bands on Weds 6 to 8. Parking difficult meters , $4.50 for 3 hrs.

Its not really a park. Its a small strip of grass between the beach and a bar where the only close place to park is either a $20 flat rate or for two hours in a side street space thats rarely available but people will camp like vultures waiting and blocking the traffic flow. There are cool things in the area, but neither that park nor beach are them.

Easy way to get to the beach, since my wife is disabled. I love all the languages you can hear spoken here. Today we heard Brazilian, Spanish, French, Russian, and British.

This isnt really big enough to be much of a park. There is a small piece of grass where people bring their dogs to relieve themselves so the grass isnt really a place you want to be. It has a little outdoor stage and there are some outdoor showers which are useful since its on the beach.

I love living so close to the village!The esplanade is a great place to hangout during the day time, whether it is to the beach, restaurants (I recommend Britannia arms), or just going for a walk or swim.It is a safe part of town during the daytime forsure.During the night time, this is a place where people come to get dinner, or have a nice night out on the town, or to go to the bars.I generally feel safe here at night but there have been a few times where I have felt uncomfortable due to being followed by weirdos and drunk people.

Kind of touristy but beautiful to look at.Very pricey to eat anywhere in the proximity.If you can go on a weekday your way better off!

Great spot to take in this surf town. Close to shops to grab a bite and sit on the stonework or grass and have a picnic. Plenty of nearby bars too.

You dont get a good view of the sunset from here and you have to pay for parking until 8pm 7 days per week. Dogs arent allowed on the beach.

Great little park by the beach, always has something going on! Movies, concerts, art, wine, flowers! Theres always something going on! From the begonia Festival to the Monte fireworks, its a great little place!

Have been visiting capitol for years.There is so many activities close by and wonderful restaurants, shopping, flea market, and dont forget Gayles deli and bakery.

My favorite beach in Santa Cruz County

The esplanade and the adjoining beaches and pier are just awesome. Beautiful and uplifting.

Its a cozy little Cove next to a great downtown. Lots of shops and restaurants, beautiful views, a gentle Beach but also a good surf spot.

Wonderful atmosphere with fun food nearby. Lots of friendly people. Parking can be very tight.

There is a private park you can’t get in. Not very friendly.
