I love New Brighton. I call it my go-to beach. Too bad the state has not fixed the large sink hole in the parking lot. It curtails access for some people. Great walking beach, and good for beach glass at low tide

Beautiful view of Monterey Bay! Walk along the tracks to Capitola is quite mice too!

Hello! Its July 10th does anyone know if the New Brighton State Campground is open?

The view was somewhat nice. There are bathrooms but what can you expect? It was very dirty. There were sharks nearby so be careful. You can actually see their fins. So beware and be safe

We took our paddle boards out from this beach today. It was the calmest put in and take out ever. The ocean is not always this calm at this beach so feeling pretty lucky!

Lovely! We spent almost an entire day walking the beach and playing in the sand and water! Great place!

The one word to use when describing New Brighton State Park is idyllic. We have RV camped here many times and love the beach access as well as camping in the woods. Very easy access to Highway 101 and very easy access to all of the communities surrounding the Monterey Bay.

Nice beach,bring a change of cloths,warm,cold.spare key for car.no life gard stands watching.safety,always stand next to shore when your kids are playing in water,have phone in hand to call 911 emergency.beach at a slant is dangerours,dont let people play on logs at shore line,ect.have fun.

Awesome place, horrible people at entrance!!!Came in for a day use and paid like everyone else, then had to go get pain relief medicine for my wife, at re-entry they wont let me in the park with my vehicle even though it was paid for the whole day. When I parked my car ouside of the park and walk in, I found out that parking lot not even half full. Now I have to carry my kids out and all the stuff. Grate customer service, California State Parks.
