I might be a bit partial since we share a name, but this was an excellent informational journey while at the lighthouse. I had no idea how well fortified this part of the ocean was during both world wars. Very interesting read on the walls at Battery Blair! So crazy to think just how much larger the battery was before they filled it in with dirt and grass. Wish we had more time to visit more of the battery’s while we were there, but apparently this one is the largest anyways. Beautiful view from here! Recommend a stop off to read more about it!
