I love this place! A different wine tasting experience - friendly, fun, inviting atmosphere where the pours actually give you an experience of tasting wine rather than a few sips. This is a hidden gem!

Hells canyon winery is our favorite winery in Idaho. They are one of the oldest winerys in the state and have fabulous wine. When we go there we feel like were headed to see family. Steve and Leslie as well as the daughters and other employees treat you like family. I included a photo of our last wine pickup of the heritage wine club.

Organic wine! Who else does that? I’ve been looking for someone who makes wine the old fashioned way and I found it at Hell’s Canyon Winery

Nice, shaded outdoor area to sample wines with plenty of seating. Indoor seating options are also available. Great selection of wines from both wineries in 1 location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Relaxing stop on our winery tour.

Absolutely worth the visit - one of the best in the valley - for the winery itself, the wonderful wines, and the great family too. I owe a lot of my appreciation for Idaho wines to Hells Canyon wines and winery. Thank you especially to Steve and Leslie for always being such wonderful hosts.

Some of the best wine you can find anywhere. My last case was a mix of 2004 Deer Slayer Syrah and 2004 Cab both are otherworldly at this point - more body and depth than almost anything you can find in traditional retail and no complex chemicals or mixing as is so common for most mass production vineyards. All grown at their Sunny Slope vineyard and solar powered to boot!!! Time to get more!!!

Great wines, cute interior, and wonderful view. The 2010 syrah was my favorite. The paintings inside were very unique. Highly recommend stopping by.

Nice location, friendly people, but extremely unimpressive wine. We are members at a few wineries in the Snake River Valley, and feel the region produces some of the best wine in the United States. We were very surprised upon visiting Hells Canyon to find that all 5 wines we tasted were flat and nearly tasteless, including their 04 reserve. My girlfriend and I both agreed they had no nose, no life, and no character. Rather disappointing. To each his own I suppose.

Of all the wineries in this region, we feel there are really only 3 worth visiting, and Hells Canyon is at the top for us. And for a tasting weekend, they have the most relaxing atmosphere, inside and out. Put this at the top of your tasting tour plans for 2018 for sure.

Thank you Robertson family for the incredible wine experience. Charlie and I understand why the Bodgens have Hells Canyon as their favorite winery. Your wines are #1 in our book.

Of all the wineries out in the area thus has the best wine and the friendliest staff. Lovely view, nice yard. Homey feel, not uncommon to have an opportunity to see some of the wine process or ask questions.

Hells Canyon wines. We have been drinking them for over 15 years. Consistently one of the best, if not at times the best Cab Sauv and Syrah wines in Idaho made from local estate, Idaho!, grapes. And still reasonably priced!!

If i could give this winery 0 stars I would. This was by far the most DISTURBING and DISGUSTING experience we have EVER had at a winery. After tasting in the tasting room, we went to leave. Stopped and talked to one of the owners. He offered the 4 of us a tasting from the barrel and so we decided to go for it. After ALL 4 of us tasted, he then proceeded to take a large sip himself and SPIT IT IN THE BARREL. HE SPIT WHAT WAS IN HIS MOUTH BACK INTO THE BARREL HE GOT THE WINE FROM. It was by far the MOST DISGUSTING THING IVE SEEN!! In no way is that ever ok pre or post fermentation. We will NEVER go back there again and I WILL make sure I tell everyone I know about it. This winery should be shut down!!!!! Who knows how many times he has done that. We about lost our lunch right there. There are way to many good, sanitary wineries out there and this is NOT one of them!
