The Lake Lowell Picnic area is a nice place to hang out with big groups of friends and play games then go swim for awhile. The experience alone was fine nothing to complain about! Minus some of the people who go there, if you have children and want to take them to the lake please pay attention to your children.We had people and kids constantly trying to take our kids toys without asking, another kid tried to throw a rock at my infants head! So if bringing your children to public areas like this place please watch them and respect that other people are also there to enjoy themselves! Dont ruin other people experiences. It makes people not want to come back.The park itself i enjoyed, the ignorance of the crowd that goes to the park i was not impressed with.

I have lived near lake lowell all my life. With everything shut down the lake has gotten beautiful. It has been a while sense it has been so blue. People are respecting there distance. I just started float tubing. It is a good place to learn at the park on the far left end. Calm water and plenty of room to figure out how the tube moves.

What a tranquil place to go and relax under the huge trees or swimming , jet skiing and more. Can even bring a leashed petWhat a beautiful setting

Always a good time! Wish people would make a better effort in keeping it clean and picking up after themselves but its always a good choice for a nice day to hang with the family and stay cool

I have come here since I was in diapers! Ive come here for swimming and boating. Hell even just for a picnic! Great view of the lake and just an awesome place in general!

Fantastic place to have a picnic or just enjoy nature. During the summer there are a lot of people there on the weekends. They do a great job keeping the place clean. the actual name of the place is deer flat Wildlife Refuge lower dam. Not Lake Lowell picnic Park.

This lake is okay, they should try and clean the park more often. There was trash on the floor and benches and some people dont pick up after themselves. There should be more trash cans, I didnt see any near by. Otherwise my kids had fun.

Not to happy with there portable restrooms. They are always dirty. Also they need more assesibility for wheelchairs. My son uses a wheelchair and it is so hard to get him over the car barriers. I also saw surgical mask in several places of the ground.

We had it all to ourselves. Water was nice.

Its pretty nice, but theres a bit too much cotton in the area from the trees.

Beautiful park, gorgeous lake, would give 5 stars if there werent several pitbulls off leash, and some cursing and smoking mom on the beach within earshot of all our kids.

Great place to take your dog or kids. Family get together out here to swim and have a day on the beech or in the water. Or some one may enjoy a pleasant walk through the green grass. The beach and other areas are maintained no more glass or trash laying about for kid to hurt their feet. Very nice place

Nice park that includes a disc golf course. 9 holes, fairly simple but a few challenging holes.

I wanted to give it a good review but apparently they only open it after Groundskeeper Willey is done sleeping in. Like late late in the morning. Drove a client out here for nothing. About 1030 and......

Goat heads thistles in the grass, broken glass in the sand, took 3 different cigarette butts out of my 8 month olds mouth while in the grass area. A loaner area for life vests, but non were available during our stay, nor did I see anybody in the water/beach wearing one. This park definitely needs some attention for clean up. But otherwise has ample shade in the grass provided by large trees, sandy beach area for kids to play and water was warm for swimming. Eagle island is much nicer but 3x further for us.

Whoever takes care of these facilities should be fired! Place is a dump/ toiletries are horrendously filthy!

A lot of people. Makes it a little hard to find a good swimming spot. However theres the perfect amount of shade for a hot day.

IT WAS AMAZING!! The water is warm like the average pool! AND ITS HUGE!! And If u live in Idaho its not very far away either! And its gets even better, ITS FREEEEEEEE

Nice and big shelter area, clean

Loved the green grass and easy access to the sandy area that leads to the water. The park was relatively clean. Wish there was bbq pits tho.

Loved this location for photos. The amount of people that trash the place and leave garbage everywhere is disheartening. Now there is a dangerous algae problem and the beach is closed.

Always a great time, bring the kids, the dogs, the ice chest, fishing poles, and a blanket or chairs or both. Peaceful atmosphere. Love it.

Nice grassy area, good shore, pit toilets. Water is clement. Watch the weather, Idaho can be quick to change.

Very well established park with plenty of parking and picnic spots. We love the shallow beach area on this side of the lake and enjoy playing in the water during certain times of the year. However, beware of broken glass on the bottom here and wear water shoes.

It gets the job done if you need a beach fix. I went on a weekend and it was packed with people, there were trash heaps, the outhouse was nearly full and out of toilet paper, and there were large boats coming into the no wake zone where people were swimming. Pros and cons, but generally a good experience.

Great view but disgusting lake...you can tell they barely try to keep the water clean...they should at least try to have workers that walk around and pick up things that other people dont....i have gotten super sick from this place and dont trust going back.

I like coming here the Grandson loves it.

Only problem is the bathroom facilities. But considering that it is a public lake, I can see how it would be hard maintaining the facilities.

The picnic park has a nice slow slope out to the deeper water allowing for a safer walk out, very few to no sudden drop offs.

The sandy beach is a little dirty with bird poop near the swimming enclosure. The beach does extend the entire length of the tree covered picnic area so if you wanted a clean area you could choose to swim outside of the enclosure which at least has buoys to warn boats.
