Small gravel parking area with pit privy that provides access to the Haw River Trail/MST. It’s about 6 miles to Highway 70 along the trail from here. Parts of the trail run along the roads without sidewalks but it’s well marked and easy to follow.

Nice place to spend a few hours with the family. Pretty nice Mountain to Sea trail. People as usual are lazy and dont take care of our natural resources and litter and it seems to be building up in areas and not cleaned up and that was disappointing.

My husband and I love to come here. It is one of our favorite trails on the Haw River. It’s well maintained and the fishing is always fun. The falls are fun to sit by and fish or just take a moment to relax. A great place to walk the dogs, too!

Nice 10-15 min walk which goes by two waterfalls on the Haw River built by dams. The kids enjoyed it and was a nice 1 hour excursion from the daily grind. Park in vacant lot in back of museum so you dont have to walk as far.

Very nice park. The river, dam and waterfalls make it an interesting trail. The paths were wide and cleared. We liked that most of them were sandy and not gravel. A great place to bring your dog. There were benches, picnic tables and bridges along the paths. There is also a TextIle Heritage Museum open on weekends there. The bathroom however was Pot-a-potty style.

Scenic park with fun hiking trails, great views of the river. It can get messy and muddy if it rains alot, and there are areas where trash collects in the river... but for the most part its great. Good to walk with dogs. Small parking area, has restrooms

Not dog/child friendly at this time!I visited this park for the first time over the weekend.I enjoyed walking the trails seeing a few pretty spots a long the way. While walking with my dog there was quite a few glass pieces on the ground, I kept going thinking they had been looked over or that it had happened recently. Proceeding with caution, I continued walking the trail, only to find more random glass. As I continued to walk there was such an abundance of broken pieces of glass, broken bottles, and shards sticking up I had to leave. I promptly carried my dog until I couldn’t see anymore glass, which was a good ways.Any new visitors please be careful.*Photos have been added.
