Lots of room for kids to run around and play. Not the best place to long board but you can make it work. No vending machines, bathrooms are a little messy but it is a public park. Very good spot for Pokemon Go players, just be careful going through the trails in the woods.

The good: Small but Nice quiet parkThe bad: Covid mania has the kids playground roped off with police barricade yellow tape - it looked like a crime scene! A more subtle approach would be much nicer. We sat in the park for an hour or so, just relaxing with the dog. The playing fields were closed off for some sort of renovation work and the kids playground was closed off as well. But as a retreat from the bustle of the city, this place is quiet and not terribly crowded. We enjoyed a park bench in the shade.

They have pickleball lines on the tennis courts, but there are only two courts which tend to fill quickly with tennis players all day (courts have manual lights). But safe and has a playground for kids, but not open now due to Covid. A nice walking paved trail around the park if you are looking for a .75 mile jaunt.

I like it. There always seems to be work being done, caution tape, or a man there with a metal detector looking for things in the mulch. At least every time we go. It doesnt necessarily bother me, but it doesnt feel like a park should if that makes any sense. They have everything you need, though. Sports field, walking trail, slides, playground, swings for kids and babies, and bathrooms. They also have a picnic table under trees

I think its about 3/4 of a mile.Theres always plenty of people around and it has a nice playground and tennis courts. Lots of Poke stuff for you Pokemon Go folks.

Nice park, lots of parking around it. Lots of trees. Playing fields need reservations. Not much else. Maybe good for picnics. When I was there (Saturday afternoon) people were taking a stroll or walking their dogs around the park (playing fields are center). On the busy side.Easy access from S Church St., Alamance Crossing, University Ave.

Been a great park since my son played ball there 15+ years ago. There are about 15 signs to keep your pet leashed at all times and to pick up pet waste. There is exactly 1 place to discard pet waste. I dont want to put it next to a soccer field or kids enjoying the rides or picnic areas. Please add a few pet waste baskets - preferably at each sign. Most responsible owners bring the waste bag with them. They are like 500 for $1. Otherwise great safe place to exercise your pet and yourself.

My kids love going to Davidson Park to play! I got really nervous about some of the hights and equipment when they were smaller, but now at ages six and three, they climb like monkeys and love it here. I can walk our newest baby in a stroller in circles around the playground while the older two play. They have benches and picnic tables to sit or pack a picnic too.
