The woman taking reservations and the woman at the checkout were lovely. The kids had a great time and so did the adults. I went to see the sturgeon. The kids liked the science exhibits. Either plan ahead by a week or two to reserve your free tickets or just walk up and ask about the wait list. You dont need a very long time to get through most of the building. A spot will open up fairly quickly.

We had our “micro” pandemic wedding at Echo and couldn’t have asked for better staff or a more beautiful setting. Kelsey was so easy to work with and a very good communicator leading up to the big day. Although getting married here wasn’t our original plan, it turned out to be a wonderful decision. We would highly recommend this as a wedding location to anyone considering!

My one year old and almost 3 year old loved it here so much we went twice during our week stay in the area. The kid play area had lots of fun stuff for them to explore. My son loved the water play and my daughter was obsessed with the doctor area and pretending to care for the stuffed animals. We liked the hands on opportunities throughout the museum, and even though it is not a huge place, theres lots to see and do. We also ate some soup in the cafe and were very impressed with it. Usually the food options are pretty bad at these types of places and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food here. Highly recommend this place especially if you have young kids.

Its a really nice museum, especially with kids. They have plenty of activities for them. The museum is a bit small but its perfect for a visit with kids. On the second floor, there is a space where you can touch some sea animals. There is also a pretend play area as well as a small play area for babies. Overall, we really have enjoyed our time there and well be sure to come back

Awesome! Lots of info to learn on VTs watershed conservation, waterways, and the animals living in our environment especially aquatic life. Theres native fish such as Pike, Sturgeons, and trout. Frogs, turtles, toads, and more. Tons of displays and cool kiosks for children. Overall a great place to go for a few hours and cruise through. You get a discount on admission for being a VT resident as well. Only thing is I wish Echo was a little bigger. Hard to spend a full day here due to its smaller size but that also makes the experience more personable. Definitely worth checking out!

We visited this museum looking specifically for the butterfly seasonal exhibit and we got a lot more than we expected. Unbeknownst to me, this museum also has a specific focus on turtles as well, which are my wifes second favorite animal after butterflies(which she says are animals, dont blame me). What more is there to say about a museum? It was clean, informative, and fascinating with plenty of interactive exhibits to entertain even my adhd-addled brain. Certainly worth a visit if you find yourself able to make the trip

Was interesting, but definitely more geared to/ fun/more to do for toddlers. We are one adult and a 12 and 10 year old. Was finished in about an hour, and that was pushing it. So almost $50 bucks to all get in was way waaaaaaay over priced for what you get. Should be 5-6 bucks a person, absolute MAX...Not 14 and 17! And that doesnt even give you full access. :(You Would better off going out to a movie and all get snacks and drinks for that price.... and would last longer. The more I think about how much I spent the more peeved I feel... as this only occupied us for an hour. at least it supports the animals they keep, who seem responsibly cared for.

Imagine if two sea otters had an incestuous relationship.. but they weren’t really sea otters. They were the parents of the visibly deformed and excessively pasty man who handed you your admissions ticket to the ECHO Leahy Center bla bla Only Thing to Do in Burlington Aquarium Center. Well that was how we felt. We couldn’t eat for eight hours after we went in here. Honestly, it looks like they put some low cost net in a lake and then bought a bunch of fish tanks and trapped the poor animals in a building. Five stars because at least they tried to have something

This was a pretty cool place and the kids had a pretty good time. However, being from Baltimore and having access to the Science Center, Port Discovery, and Aquarium there, ECHO seemed a little lackluster by comparison.Add to that the fact that some of the exhibits were broken or badly worn (poorly maintained), and the price was on par with more robust attractions. It wasnt *lousy* and I dont regret going, but if money is tight you might be left feeling like you spent too much for what you get here.

We are so glad we visited the ECHO museum in Burlington! If my kids were young, this is where I would take them for interactive, fun learning. Their Trivial Pursuit display invites little kids to brush away rocks to reveal fossils, lay on a board as if they were snorkeling, and wear a vest or apron before sitting in a tiny covered wagon. I was mesmerized by the large tank of sturgeon, muskie, and drum. Families seemed to like the starfish touch tank. As non-members, we paid an extra $5 each to see the 3D shark movie and it was worth it.
