My boyfriend and I had an excellent time. It was our very first time every axe throwing and also at this particular place and we LOVED it. I would highly recommend for anyone just wanting to have a great time. The staff is extremely energetic, which makes the experience all that much better!

I had a blast. At first I thought oh boy this is going to be a disaster. But there was never a point where I felt uncomfortable or even uncertain. When you start there is an instructor who will tell you the rules and show you how to play/throw. The instructor we had was absolutely awesome. They were energetic and thoroughly seemed to enjoy their job. They were very involved and gave tips when needed. I would definitely do it again and again. The beer was pretty good too.

This place is amazing! SO MUCH FUN!! Celebrated my birthday with 13 friends and family this past weekend and could not have been any happier with my groups experience. They actually TEACH you how to throw the hatchets and they take care of keeping track of scoring and whos going next. You just relax and wait for your name to be called for your turn. Yes, its safe! The hatchets are the size of a hammer, youre NOT hurling giant firemen sized axes. You group will have someone assigned to you lane who organizes you game and keeps everyone safe, and they are all great, thanks Johnny you were terrific!! This is the adult equivalent of having your birthday at the roller rink or Lazer-Tag! Rave reviews from ALL of my guests, we had guests just spectate too and they had a blast as well!!

I came here with family for my birthday. We all had an awesome time. I would definitely go back!You are coached on how to throw and given a practice round before starting. There are several craft beer choices. More food choices would be nice but the hot pretzel is bomb!

Great experience at Hatchets & Hops!!! The instructor did a great job at getting people involved and helping everybody out. The hops selection is pretty limited, but our group still had a fun time.

That was surprisingly much more fun than I was anticipating. I appreciate how every group is led by a hatchet guide whose sole responsibility is to keep it safe and keep it fun - even for those of is that werent very great, yet. A little more expensive than Id like for a night out, but theyve got a lot of insurance to pay for and they make it a good time for all.

I have been to Hatchets & Hops twice now, and both times were amazing! The instructors are super fun and helpful, and the atmosphere is perfect. Tommy was our instructor for the night, and our group couldnt say enough good things about him. For the amount of time you get the price is very reasonable. Highly recommended!

How this business plan ever made it past the insurance underwriter I’ll never know. The concept is very simple and straightforward, drink beer and throw hatchets. Alljoking aside, safety is their biggest concern and enforced continually. Great beer selection including lots of local choices. It’s almost more fun Watching can actually participate in.

It gets very very very busy during their walk in days. However, the instructors are friendly and professional and the beer selection was good.

A group of friends and I came in as a walk-in after having dinner up the street. The staff was great and was able to accommodate us despite not having a reservation. Our instructor, Tommy, was AMAZING! He spent a lot of time working with each of us (especially me) determing the best hand placement on the hatchet so we could get the most bullseyes! And he was just as excited as we were when any of us got one! We truly appreciated his kindness, enthusiasm and patience. Well definitely be back and asking for Tommy to help out our group! Awesome atmosphere, great experience!

Great place to hang out with friends for a hatchet throwing competition and to have a few beers. Micro selection is pretty good. This place is a ton of fun, but better if you have one of the end cages to use. Otherwise there isnt a lot of room for hanging out and talking to others. Staff was fantastic and stay during your event to provide training, continued tips, scorekeeping and safety watch.

Totally unique experience. Attended a client appreciation event there and had an excellent time. Regional brews on tap (Pressure Drops BuckStar Porter was quite tasty) and axes. Who could ask for more?Dedicated staff guided mostly complete novices through the basics of hatchet throwing and organized a group of 30+ into a fun, competitive tournament.Certainly an unexpected pleasure and one that has my associates planning for another outing in the near future.

Very fun experience. The price is a bit high considering it only includes the axe throwing, and no drinks, but you get a couple hours of entertainment. Good for special occasions, a bit too pricey for a casual regular activity.

How much fun you can have as an adult is pushed to the max here and dont worry of youve never done it before the instructors are more than capable. If youre going on a whim try Sundays because bc most days are pretty packed with reserved parties.

Went here for a Bachelorette party. We had fun, but the place was very crowded and hot. I wish the staff did a better job of keeping people in our party together, because it wouldve been easy to do.

Very cool place! Although the thought of mixing axes (hatchets) and alcohol kind of makes some shutter, it works well! The hatchet throwing was a blast and the food and beverages were very good!The only real downsides are; the acoustics are not the greatest so hearing the instructions was a little tough, and there are only three bays for throwing. It gets a little crowded if youre not in one of the end bays.Again, the beverages and people were great!

I was suppose to join my good friend and a group of people for his birthday when I became very sick hours before. because of that it forced my buddy and his girlfriend to pay for me and my girlfriend, graciously they gave my buddy a deal so he only had to pay for me although they had met the encouraged requirement plus some. My issue is that this was treated a concert ticket where as if you didnt make it you were screwed out of your money although he met the encouraged minimum. If 12 showed you should only have to pay for those who showed up if you exceed the encouraged minimum attendees. The total amount of people who showed up were 14 and my buddy and his girlfriend were charged for 15. I believe they had a great time and it is to bad I couldnt make it but just some food for thought.

Fun event for a group of friends and they have a nice selection of regional and local beers. Staff was very attentive and enthusiastic, however $40 seems high for the cost and the amount of times you actually throw if you are in a larger group.

You really cant help but smile as you get ready to throw your hatchet, even if youre not going to stick it. Our instructor, Jake, made the experience even more fun and was helpful in getting us to improve our hatchet throwing ability. Good beer selection, friendly staff all around. The whole concept is just great and I hope theyre around for a long time.

Nail a pallet to a tree and buy a 20 dollar hatchet and youll save a ton of money . There is nothing they couldnt teach you that a 10 minute YouTube video cant. Im pretty sure thats what the instructors did ,they didnt seem very knowledgeable at all.

Not a huge fan of their pricing or brackets system, or the fact that you have to reserve a stall with a minimum number of people at x price to boot the stall you reserve you share with another reservation. Its not the best set up but I feel for how very popular it has become and how very small it is, it makes sense. Friendly competition is always good and it creates a fun and exciting atmosphere! However I encountered a people problem with the opposite group, one member really brought down the energy for those around him and was a poor sport. So if I had to change one thing it would to not play against that one person. After tuning him out and making some friends with the other team we had a blast! I am going back on a Sunday to participate in their free throw. Seeing if going independently changes the dynamic!

Got some friends together to go here for my birthday. I had high expectations going in and I was not disappointed. All the staff was friendly and helpful through the entire experience. Great fun! Throwing axes (hatchets) at a target board whilst enjoying a drink with friends. Whats not to like!Thursdays you can walk in for $20, or you can book a time slot for a group on other nights for $40. We did the walk in option and only had to wait about 30-45 minutes for a group of 7 of us, you get instruction and practice throws, then they pit you off against others(may not be playing against your own group, on the walk in option. But never bothered us) who ever ends up scoring the most points based on where your axe lands on the target board, wins! Instructor stays in cage with you at all times & keeps score. Great night out, go!

Thursday Nights are Great, especially if you dont have a large group! Open throwing (with an instructor of course). Instructors were fun and met some really great people! Group nights are Great too, getting a large group of your friends together to go head to head tournament style for bragging rights and a beer is a great way to start your night!
