One of my favorite parks. Grew up going here and now bring my own kids. Playground has improved. The dock going out into Boom Lake has been enlarged & improved. Walking trail around Boom Lake/along Mississippi River is a great way to get some exercise in while taking in nature. Scenery is wonderful year round.

It has an assortment of equipment,picnic tables (Some sheltered),grounds were kept up, fishing piers on both sides of the park and nice trails to walk! Very relaxing! Definitely a place to check out!

Close to downtown, yet pretty peaceful. Pavilion for parties & rain cover. Play area is popular & fishing is right there on the river. Small wooded area divides it.

I was surprised by this little park in the heart of Brainerd. My granddaughter and I got Happy Meals and took them to this park to have a picnic. The playground equipment was in good condition and plenty of things to play on. We even took a walk down the dock to the river. Quiet and peaceful place to destress and be a kid again.

Went there to grill some burgers . I was super impressed with how the grill is maintained. Its was super clean . The dock going to the pond was calming . We seen turtles and little bass.

There is always people there having fun. All sorts of playground stuff for kids.

The trails around this park are pretty but the playground needs to be upgraded

Best park ever! Huge dog park If you drive down the parking lot and keep going along the river. Kinda hidden but worth finding. If your kid doesnt have fun here, they arent really a kid. Walkways to the river with docks and benches. We bring food and picnic. TONS of playground equipment for every age.

The fishing top water isnt nothing special..ive even tried fatheads and leeches..butnibhear jigheads work good forbthe walleyes..im not one for jigging though

There is a great playground and small dock for fishing right inside the entrance; there is a parking lot there. If you go a little further you come upon a dog park and the beginning of a small walking trail. When you drive/walk even further in you arrive at a bigger parking lot that gives way to more walking trails through the woods. I thoroughly enjoy it here.

Great walking trail around the lake and the one that goes along the river. The playground could use an update to include something for smaller children to play on. Im grateful for the dog park thats separate from the main park.

Dog park is nice, great place to go for a walk next to the Mississippi River.

My daughter, my dog and I went to this park on a week day during summer. We loved the playground, and walking trails. Some of the trails are historic routes with informative plaques describing past uses.This park is also pet friendly with dog poop cleanup products. And a short walk away is the dog park that we havent visited yet.

Nice park on the river with a playground and 3 Pokémon gyms. (My son made mention that. Lol)

Buster park is a dog park behind the park. Most of the time a good time by all. With the option of shy dogs to social. My dogs are very social. However today I brought obe dog home bleeding cause some one was not watching their dog.

Wonderful park, nice for all ages but geared towards elementary aged kids. There is a small lake with a beautiful walking/biking trail around it. There is also a nice, fenced in, dog park near by.

A very clean and up to date playground and recreational space, the sceneries are great and has a public dog park. Great for picnics and outside birthday parties

My favorite part of all time. I have held my kids birthday parties here, give fishing here, the buildings have electricity after dark to charge your phone if youre stuck... Great great great asset to our community

Lots of beautiful paved trails, a playground for the kids, a dock on the pond, a dock on the Mississippi, and a wonderful dog park. Public restrooms also available here.

Beautiful Mississippi views and a very pleasant short river trail. Hoping it gets extended with the river to rail program here in the Brainerd Lakes!

This is my kids favorite park. Watch the kids carefully. Close to the Mississippi and watch the kids by the Boom lake dock. Alot of kids like to jump around on and rock the floating dock. Also accompany your kids to the bathrooms. They are out of the way a little and I have seen many random strange guys sitting over there. Other then that, many kids are always playing at Kiwanis.

Nice decent length path, a floating dock, next to Mississippi River, and a childrens play area with swings and a slide.

Slept under the bridge just south of park . surprisd..it was clean. Noone bothered me j I sure didnt bother any1

Great little park in Brainerd along the Mississippi River. Finally connected to other places (and the Paul Bunyan Trail) via paved bike trails. Good place to go for a jog, too (around Boom Lake.) Cute stone bridge that 8/10 people in the area have used in a graduation photo. Place gets completely flooded in the spring, though.

We love coming here! You can walk under the bridge by the river. There is a dock you can fish off of. There are bathroom benches and picnic tables.

This is such a wonderful park. It has an awesome area for the kids to play, a few paths to walk, two pokestops and gyms, places to fish, and picnic area. Oh and there are plenty of big shade trees. I hope you enjoy your visit.

Nice and big for the dogs to get there exserize. They keep it very clean and stocked with poop bags. Friendly people who go there. For us daily regulars. We would like a wind blocker installed for in the to block the cold wind coming off the Mississippi River for the winter months. I would highly recommend and have done so to a lot of people in the brainerd lakes area.

A place to rest. Nothing fancy. A playground and bathroom are usable. A little walk down to the Riverside.
