Great spot to launch your kayak or canoe. The water is usually shallow enough to wade or shallow walk halfway across. I understand that camping and hunting are allowed on the state park’s islands in the middle of the river. Excellent location for star gazing on a clear night.

Gorgeous little spot! My son had a blast playing in the water. There were lots of birds, butterflies, and little fish to watch as well. Cant wait to go back!

Beautiful place for a sunset. Parking lot is easily accessible and convenient to the river. Also, a fun place to explore and wade in the water. The plants and animals are fascinating.

I have to give a high rating to all of Ohios state parks they are always vary clean and well took care of. This is usually a good spot if your looking to go somewhere that is not not packed plus there is pretty good fishing here tho you might lose a lot of tackle if your not careful

My boyfriend (at the time) proposed to me on the rapids last August and it was so beautiful! That place is peaceful and an easy way to submerse yourself in nature, wether youre looking for a good place to cast a few lines, read a good book or just take a walk. Always well maintained and theres a parking lot! Love this place not only for the good memories there!

Peoples experience is going to differ based on the rainfall. We waited for a weekend when the water level had receded a bit. It was very calm and peaceful. Great place for fishing from the shore or wading in. We enjoyed watching the fish jump. Others were kayaking. At dusk the fireflies came out, glittering about. Not a single mosquito buzzing. Shh! Dont tell anyone how great this place is!
