One of the best wood coasters on the East Coast. Very old, over 100 years old, with lots of airtime, ie. you float out of your seat, and very good drops, speed, views, and lateral forces on the curves! Do not miss this one, ride in the back car or front car for the best rides.
A historic coaster originally from Paragon Park at Nantasket Beach in Hull, MA. Despite burning down twice this coaster has been saved and continues operations under a new name at Six Flags America. While Six Flags America may be a bit lacking this coaster sure is not! A must ride for coaster enthusiasts!
I love this roller coaster. I have been riding it since I was 6 years old. This coaster is over 110 years old. Formally located at a beach(i cannot remember where). Yes this ride is old fashioned, rough but yet still delivers thrills. If you are at or near sixflags america, take some time to ride it. Wild one is truly a part of coaster history that may not be around much longer.
An historic ride. Rough and wild. Full of airtime, and character.
Some rows you couldnt sit in but i was impressed how good the coaster runs for its age bit rough but i understand this is a good coaster!
I rode this coaster fifty yrs ago when I was ten and it was at Paragon park in hull Massachusetts as Giant CoasterIt was my first Roller coaster ever and was a great ride then and is still great today.Part of its thrill is how rickety it rode and still does.
The ride was fun. There were 2 major drops. The only downside is that there’s a sharp turn which hurts a little.
Fun, little coaster. It is good for the whole faimly, and for being 101 years old it is really smooth. Good drop, good gs, good air time, 60mph but it feels slower, good ride.
This is a classic wooden roller coaster, with all the bumps and shakes that brings with it. Its been rebuilt and renovated several times over the last 100 years (yup, 2017 is its 100th birthday!) and if you like wooden coasters, its a TON of fun. Good drops, long duration, and theres a great 450 degree helix at the finish. I love this coaster and so does my 6-year old daughter - we ride it each time we come!
The part I hate is the first dropThe rest is fine
Second favorite ride. Great for kids getting into roller coasters.
The rides drops and turns were great and it sometimes will feel like youll fall off your seat. When the staff says leave everything to the side, they mean everything. I was stupid enough to take my aviators and lose them obviously. Thats $12 Ill never get back ;_;.
Love old coasters
Im sure its stronger than it looks, but I have fired carpenters that did similar work. The peeling paint and askew 2x4 that contribute to the feeling of shoddy workmanship definitely adds to the thrill factor.
Pretty fun for an older coaster, the ride is fairly long which is great. The ride is a little jarring, but that is to be expected on a wooden coaster
A cool rollercoaster. Not the most comfortable to sit in and it makes a lot of sound.

My son rode his first roller coaster!
Decent wooden coaster.
A classic ride that bangs you up a little along the way.
Wild One is an amazing classic
Let me start off with, I am NOT a fan of wooden roller coasters. However, The Wild One is one of two wooden coasters that I enjoy riding. I avoided it for years thinking it would be a horrible experience but was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed it. I rode it four time that day. This wooden roller coaster is seriously underrated and deserves more respect.
