Park was great even during COVID times. People were all wearing masks and there are many posted signs to promote compliance. The park is clean and there are still birds to feed if you want to take your kids!

Beautiful park with something to do for everyone. Walk, jog, grill, playground, paddle boats( was closed during visit), hockey, relaxation.

Rarely do I post a 5-star rating. This place more than deserves it. The Pond, as it has come to be known offers the following... Ice skating, sport fishing pond, walking path, bikepath, picnic area, BBQ area, various sporting areas, a staging area to put on shows and much much more. I employ you please treat yourself to a visit with your family. Social distancing is much easier here because the Pond is so vast you can separate your family from others.

I loved the walk around the lake,all the leaves are gone now,but I cant wait to see the spring coming in, a beautiful park.

Despite the enormous amount of people there, everyone has having a great time. The kids all were playing together, the playscapes are wheelchair accessible and there is plenty of shade! My only wish? At least a portable bathroom back by the 5 and under playground.Next time I want to use the paddle boats and actually stay for the outdoor concert!

I have never lived by a park this nice before. you can tell that they have a great community at the park! theres tons of picnic tables and two separate playgrounds; one for the younger kids and one for the older kids. This has a really big pond with a trail going around it. They even have soccer fields and a gazebo! I actually took my maternity pictures at the gazebo and they turned out beautifully. This is definitely a family friendly park. I especially love it when they have events here! Because this is such a great community area, parking can get pretty crazy. If you ever want to attend an event here I recommend either taking a ride sharing car or getting there early because it can get crowded quickly.

Got beautiful pictures of geese,turtles, and blue heron, and red spotted toads stools. Of course the foliage was lovely.

Great park with multiple playgrounds, courts, skate park and ice rink. Nice paved trail wraps around the pond.

Nice park Im giving it 4 stars because they motorcycles at the park. I think thay are too loud in a quiet park. The park has a nice scenery to enjoy.

A very beautiful place to relax and cookout. The pond is my main love here so will visit often for that alone. It can get over crowded so first come, first serve or just take a stroll. You can enjoy yourself here or be with others.

Had a nice time here. The weather was nice and hot and the lake is enjoyable and clean. Nice play areas for the kids as well.

This park has been around forever. Theres not much they can improve on. It has a few safe playsets for kids, some picnic areas, and paved bike trail. Theres bathrooms up front. Bring your own water though. The fountains are off

A very nice park with lots of rides and activities for both kids and parents. Also has an Ice Arena, soccer field, picnic areas and a pond. Very neat and spacious with public restroom.

Great family oriented park & even in the midst of the pandemic, people are socially distanced to enjoy the outdoors. The snow cone truck is an added plus.

This place is amazing. Beautiful scenery, picnic and pavilions. The fish and duck really add to its beautt.

Went for an afternoon walk and it was pleasant. People are keeping their distance however not everyone is wearing a mask

Plenty of spots to setup a picnic by the water or away from the water and in shade.Pond is in need of help, very little aquatic vegetation. I suspect the water fountains in the pond are to oxygenated the water. The pond had plenty of vegetation back in the 80s, lots of lily pads, water was relatively clear, plenty of largemouth bass, blue gills and crappie. Not the case anymore.

Great place for a adults to exercise and kids to play.

Wonderful park! You can fish in the pond, ice skate in the ice arena year round, and for your children, there are multiple playgrounds with interesting contraptions and themes. Very family friendly, so a picnic will be marvelous here, there is something for everyone! Overall a very good place to chill, play, or even go on a date. Highly recommended!

I absolutely LOVE Allen Pond. We had our family reunion here last summer and will likely reserve this space again as needed.

Nice suburban park with a small lake, walking trails, picnic area and playground for kids. I came on a cold Sunday afternoon and there were a good number of people walking around. I imagine it gets very busy in the spring. A nice spot if you are in the area!

My childhood park and still my favorite park today!

This park is excellent. I could list unlimited compliments about this park. I highly recommend this place for trout fishing. Prince Georges county is really doing something right with the design and maintenance of their parks. Montgomery County should be ashamed that they do not have a park like this one.

Ive been coming here for years. A great place to walk or have a picnic. I recently threw my daughters birthday party here. It is such a beautiful park.

Very pretty little park tucked in out of the way. Cute little gazebo. Lots of people walking, running and cycling around. The gazebo is closed due to Covid-19.

Peaceful park with a nice vibe. Quieter in the mornings. Summer weekends can get crowded, but people are behaving responsibly during this COVID situation.

Allen Pond park was peaceful. A slight chill in but very nice. Spring a time for new beginnings.

Very well kept and so much to do here, from ice skating, concerts, a day at the park, or picnicking. Plenty of wide open space to go running or for a short hike. Multiple playgrounds around the park and there are public restrooms provided.

Nice park situated in Bowie MD. Located by a lake and has a swan paddle boat kids seem to love. Has a small childrens playground on the side. Restroom is located across the parking lot at skating rink although I am not sure if it is always open to park goers.

Loved it. Very big park. Sports fields. Playgrounds for different ages. Long trail for rides in the park. Pretty green grass. Space for picnic, taking pictures, birthday parties.

We only experienced a small part of the park but I was pleased with my first time here. There were lots of cookouts going on in the various picnic areas. There was a diverse group of people in the park which I thought was great. The playground is decent size. Its big enough to give the kids room to roam but not so big that you feel like you have to follow your kids all around. Lots of shady areas for us grandparents to sit while the kids play. We plan to try the paddle boats on our next visit.

Nice park. Great place to relax and fish. The park is very well maintained, and the people that you’ll meet are nice to sit and talk with. There’s a nice paved trail that you can walk, jog, or bike around pond and access different fishing spots. There are nice facilities, clean bathrooms, nice playgrounds, paddle boat rentals, & sports fields at the other end of the park. Great place to spend the afternoon with friends & family, or stop and relax.
