Great place to park and read a book, bike, run or just have a great packed lunch. Rest rooms open in summer. Handicapped parking. Watch boats run by and tugs off and on. Very busy in summer.

Very tight four lanes. Traffic backs up before it. First time driving over it. View looks great, but, if youre driving, you have to watch the traffic. I went underneath the bridge on a train and the bridge is huge and impressive.

Amazing views from the top of the bridge. You can also walk on it. The way going to mainland MA has a sidewalk only. Check it out

Great old bridge, has an awesome recreation area below where you can watch the ships in the canal.

Enjoyable place to fish and either walk or ride bikes along the bike path that runs on each side of the canal.

Its a pretty great bridge. I went over it and it was a smooth ride. It was a great design for a bridge. I would assume that walking over the bridge would be a great view and it is perfect for a walk if you have been in a car way too long. I would definitely drive over it but also go for a walk over it just to see a great view.

Great place to walk. My husband and I walked from the bridge to the end and back. Beautiful boats, a fishing pier, and cool breezes of the water made the walk one we would do again.

I’m a cape local and walking is kind of boring and driving over it pretty much every day is very tough because the bridge is small. In the summer there’s so much traffic. Views are good though

Home of the Cape Cod Canal. Great for walking, jogging, bike riding, fishing. Family friendly. See barges passing through the canal, often accompanied by tug or tow boat. Keep your eyes open for seasonal blue heron.

Good place to fish, bike, walk.Only 4 star due to its small parking and easily filled and bathroom needs to be maintained on daily basis not just 1 time a day AND have hours.

Its a sight better than swimming over if thats what you mean. But its too narrow and the Duncan Donuts exit right onto the bridge is idiotic. And since most Tourists and many Mass drivers have no idea of the etiquette issues of driving around the rotary on the immediate Cape side, it does offer a lot of cheap thrills.

Beautiful bridge that can be slow travel during peak rush hour traffic, especially Starting in Spring thru the summer Cape Cod season! Hopefully a new bridge might soon be built near by to divert traffic.I love driving along the Cape Cod canal and stop at one of its few view points to watch maritime vessels finding their way through the canal, going with its flow. A nice place to visit with a nearby the bridge a Dunkins, Mc Donalds and a service station for gas and restrooms. Also local campsites in the area..

Be a good place to jump. Dont think we will live though.

The Bourne and Sagamore bridges are architectural icons standing proud for almost 90 years.

Its engineering state of art when it was built. However, they had no idea what it would have to accommodate today. Some days crossing no problem, others painful.

Old bridge that is horrendous for traffic in the summer and they choose the worst time to work on the bridges! Right before tourist season!? Better leave 1.5 hours early to be on time

Awesome place for fishing. Caught a 17.5 inch trophy porgy, a 17 inch black sea bass and a schoolie striper. Bring some heavy weight cause that current gets tough.

Too narrow and falling apart

This is the time of year I am particularly fond of the Sagamore Bridge! Destinations such as Heritage Plantation,The Sandwhich Hatchery, Shawme-Crowell State Park, The Sea-Coast and the Dunes ! Scorton Creek ( Can we say striped bass ?) Shoppes, Galleries, Ice - Cream ! Drive- In movies in Wellfleet ! A gabillion daffodils and excellent restuarants. Need I say more ? There is !

Why is this something I can rate? 5 stars because I live on Cape and its not the first thing Id think of when I get depressed in the winter.

A beautiful bridge, but will someone explain why there isnt a railing along the walkway? It ends in a precipitous drop; anyone falling onto the roadway would be in deep trouble.I always walk my bike across but not all do, and an accident would be ugly indeed.The bridge seems to be have been freshly painted, so why not include a railing in the renovation?
