Nothing really negative to say about this place, price was good and everything, its was just such a small place, its an outdoors area and I was kinda finished looking at it the second i walked in,we stayed for about 15 minutes. The gift shop was cool too,the lady there was really nice and talked to us for a bit,so,overall,I had a good time,it was just a really short visit, there didnt seem to be too many butterflies either, maybe 30? 40? Which didnt seem to be much since the area was pretty big yet small so it kinda seemed like less. So,Im not disappointed just wished it was a little bigger but oh well

The owners are very knowledgeable and friendly. The butterfly garden is absolutely amazing with a ton of butterflies all over it. We even found a small toad in there. If you have a small child you should definitely bring them here.

What a fun find! The butterfly house was fascinating. So amazing to walk among so many different butterflies. The jewelry in the store made of butterfly wings (set in silver) is astonishingly beautiful, and I had to indulge. The shadow boxes with mounted butterflies are simply gorgeous - under the track lights the iridescence of the scales of certain butterflies really leaps out to the eye.But the proprietors are perhaps the best part of the experience. As I looked at the jewelry (my first stop), I asked questions about where the jewelry was made and where they got the wings. The proprietor knew everything about the artisan and how the wings were sourced. After going outside to view the butterfly house (you are given a chart with a picture and description of each type of butterfly), I went back into the shop to look at the shadow boxes. My husband noticed tiny spots on the wings, which prompted me to ask the proprietor what caused this, and he very kindly and patiently explained about the scale structure underlying the wings, and that in some butterflies this structure is iridescent. He also explained the butterfly lifecycle, and I walked out of there knowing a check of a lot more about butterflies than when I walked in. If Im in the area again on vacation I will definitely stop by again. The proprietor made me feel so welcome that I would relish going back to talk to him, and will probably buy a shadow box the next time Im there. Thanks for the memorable visit!

This was a great off the beaten path find. The staff is very personable and answered any questions that we had. It was great to see a haven committed to educating our children on the native species and what we can do to help create environments for them in our own backyards!

I loved the atmosphere as soon as i walked into the store. it’s like you’re welcomed into somebody’s home with positive energy and good intentions. the displays of animals and products were nice, but whats in the backyard makes up for the entire tourist attraction indeed. It is definitely worth the tourist experience.
