Nice spot for a bike ride or a walk . Its along the canal goes past the two auto bridges and ends at the train bridge. The other end ends at the ocean. All flat not too long probably about a half hour each way on a bike. Better ride is the rail trail that runs from Dennis up to Wellfleet, but this is a nice shorter ride.

Nice and beautiful view. Access to bike road and nice place to walk too. Not sure when does the bridge comes down, pretty sure it will be great view to see the train passing through it.

Amazing scenic location with an amazing trail right next to the water. You can walk along the water all the way to the end. Amazing place during sunset and the views are amazing. Perfect place for a photo shoot or landscape photography. Definitely check it out when in Bourne or around the Cape. Some of the best views in Bourne.

Great for a walk or bike ride. Grassy areas along paved path to sit. Some benches and picnic tables. Out houses for restrooms, not sure if they are permanent or due to Covid- you must take your own trash out with you although there are a few barrels. Always a nice breeze and lots of boats to watch on the canal. If you hit the time right you may see the railroad bridge come down and a train cross. The bridge itself is a marvel really. Not sure why I enjoy watching it so much but I do! Would be nice if there was more in the area- not a whole lot more to do than sit (or ride/ walk) no extra things to do. Bike rentals are available nearby. Not sure I would bring young wild ones with me- paved path then steep rocky slope into the canal... Not sure if you ended up in the canal you would get out!The currents are many and strong.

Great stop, great park! Went with my 19 year old son. I played Ingress and he went salt water fishing. If youre within a few hours drive, worth the time to take s looks see!

The Railroad Bridge is a cool bridge. When a train comes by, it lowers its part that is over the canal to let the train pass.

Did the Cape Cod Canal Bike trail starting from Tidal Flats Recreation Area. Both the Rec area and the trail are awesome

Biked the Cape Cod Canal trail and highly recommend it either bike, walk or run...whatever you like! The scenery is beautiful, Cape Cod Canal the entire way and the railroad bridge is only one bridge youll see, Bourne and Sagamore as well. Parking is free, we got there early morning and had no issue with finding a spot or crowding. Cant wait to take the kids on their bikes!

Love to sit by the water watching people fish and relax.. Not to mention watching the he train bridge lower for the passing trains.

Really nice path by the canal. Wide lanes, pavement relatively smooth. Places to stop along the way. The wind can be brutal, makes for a good workout.

I got there just as a train was coming and was able to see the bridge lower for the train. It was amazing to see and I really enjoyed watching the different kinds of boats pass.

Beautiful day, public has been respectful of social distancing and the bridge still fascinates me since childhood.

Folks this is the place to go to . To clear your head from the daily hustle and bustle. To meet nice people to talk to . Watch folks fishing and sometimes they do catch a fish from time to time. You can also sit with the one you love and have a very nice meal. Or can walk with her or he down this long walk way safe where its always patrol by the police. So if your not doing nothing this weekend stop on by just to say HELLO and you will get back a HELLO from very nice people that go there from time to time.

Great place to hike the Canal 7 mile trail on foot, bike, roller blades, etc but nothing motorized! Or sit and just watch boats/ships transit the canal.

A must visit location. This historic train bridge is such a beautiful landmark. Check with The Cape Cod Flyer Train to see if it will be making its way over this bridge and watch it operate.

The location has been improved and is still improving as they consistently keep it clean.Accessable dog bags help a lot of the issue with poo. Though you cant help those that dont want to care.Mostly clean bathrooms. What you can expect in such a place.

This Cape Cod Bridge is a wonderful and scenic functioning landmark just miles away from my Mothers summertime residence in Onset. Quite nice!!!

Interesting to see this rising railroad bridge to Cape Cod, there is a nice little park near it for viewing and picnics. People fish here and also use the bike path....stop your way to the Cape.

Absolutely love this place for collecting your thoughts!! Lots of fisherman fishing, people on bikes, walking the path.Met a navy veteran there with interesting stories, people very friendly. Lots of people walking their dogs, petted numerous dogs!! Youll see all kinds of boats, boats traveling to Boston with cargo, sailboats, speedboats. The bridge itself is magical. A perfect day trip for anyone!! There was even a large trampoline for kids, and a park for smaller kids. Loved it!!!

Took a ride along the canal after not riding for almost a year. The weather was perfect and the were not many people on the trail. We started at the rail road bridge and rode 5 miles, passing Bourne and Sagamore and then turning back.
