You can bring you dig for a walk or play with other dogs as well. It has a beautiful view of the prudential and sunset in the evening.

This park is more recreational than scenic. Its lawn shows the weathering of people gathering to run and play. It is equipped with a play ground and an outdoor eatery (if open). It has a large monument and gazebo. It also has numerous paths for walking.

Its all about the squirrels. They will eat right out of your lap, climb up your leg and take food right out of your hands. Some groups of squirrels there are friendlier than others though. Some of them will confuse a finger for a nut and take a chunk out of your hand. But its well worth it, I assure you.

What a gorgeous park! And such a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the city that surrounds it. We visited on a lovely summer day, and everyone was all smiles, whether sitting or walking or skating! We were both amazed and impressed with how many people fed the wildlife- but more so, how relaxed and trusting the wildlife was of the humans! We will not forget the joy found in this special, historical haven.

There are benches fir sitting and the status in the center of the park. On beautiful days you can have lunch the kids can swim in the frog pond, and there are musician, balloon people and a park for the kids. Enjoy.

There is something for everyone here - the multitude of meandering paths lead through ponds, hills and playgrounds. Plenty of sports facilities too- from tennis courts (walk-on) to an ice rink and a baseball field. The ducking sculptures are often dressed up with seasonally or event-appropriate garments.

I went here for the first time in 12 years. Its still a nice park. There was disruption from time to time from some people who were obviously homeless and high on drugs. I saw a lot more of these people here than I use to. It hurt my heart to see that.

While on a duck boat tour of the city, we went passed here and saw a huge crowd with a couple of bands performing on different stages. We decided to give it a closer look after the tour. What we found was, there was free admission. The next thing we discovered is that it was some sort of hemp fest. I actually asked one of the many police officers what was going on. After he told me it was a hemp fest, I asked him where to go for good Italian food in Boston. We didnt stay, but instead, cut through, on our way to the north end of the city, which is some sort of Little Italy. The festival looked like everyone was being respectful. There were lots of police officers there, providing security. There were many vendors offering lots of food options as well as other merchandise. The park looked nice. There is a lot of history associated with it.If you are in Boston, you should check out the Boston Common.

A huge disappointment for tourists. I feel extremely uneasy walking through here (let alone by myself) due to the number of homeless and drug addicts in the area. I understand that this may be the only place they can go and it is unfortunate but its difficult for the general public to enjoy a walk, picnic, or any activities here due to the smell and condition of this historic park. I would much rather walk along the main streets than through here. There is a stark difference in the condition (and popularity) of Boston Common compared to the Boston Garden across the way. Many of the nice looking photos attached to this place (ie Washington statue) are actually from the Boston Garden across the street and are not reflective of this parks condition.

The best public park I have ever been to. Est in 1634, the history just surrounds you as you enter from the many entrances leading into it. From frog pond(read edgar Allen poes story) to the cemetery(considered the least desired place to be buried since it was away from the town center in colonial Boston) it really speaks for itself. Many benches to enjoy an early morning coffee or feed the pigeons, and beautiful paths lined with trees. You will enjoy your time spent here.
