The city of BOSTONNEEDS A BIG KUDS PARK COPLEY SQUARESEESAWS SWIGS AND SLIDES AND CLIMBING PUZZLES
Nice venue. I saw the 8-Bit Big Band play here yesterday, and it was a good time. We parked at the nearby garage on Dalton St. No food or beverages are sold or allowed, but there is a water fountain. Bring a sweater... the theater is chilly!
Saw Keb-Mo and Alicia Mitchell. Both were outstanding and probably helped by the fantastic acoustics here. Im 65 and I was relativity comfortable in my seat. I was near the front. i dont know if theres a difference from the back. First timer for me, but I enjoyed and will look forward o returning.
Very mind blowing performance from the one of the event I attend here. We were in first floor and they have given broucher for every one what they are performing. It is like next level of performance. After coming from the musical event we started seeing videos of previous performance. friends of 18 members group attended the event we talking all night about the performance. And everyone is planning to go-to next event without a Miss. If anyone thinking just go you will be amazed after you have visited.
Acoustics are amazing! You can hear very well from every seat in this auditorium. If you want a good view of the stage, however, the first orchestra section, all of mezzanine and the first balcony seats are pretty good. Second orchestra, balcony etc.are not so ideal. The concerts are varied and totally worth checking out. Rates are reasonable for most.
Great and cozy little theater. No bad seat in the house. Seats are a bit small.
Great sound! Brought my daughter to see City and Colour. Great seats. Friendly staff. This is an excellent place to attend a concert!
Loved the venue but there are no refreshments Im ok with no intermission but water should be available to purchase!!!
Fairly comfortable seats. Easy screening process to go in
This venue is a perfect size. I brought two young children to a family show and it was perfect. Small enough that we didnt feel totally overwhelmed by the crowd and also a good view from the first balcony where we sat.
Great performance space to see the next generation of music super stars!
Ive never been more cold at a venue than I was last night. Everyone around me was freezing as well. Also, there was no elevator to the higher levels of the theatre, which was not noted on the site when making reservations.
Its a good theater. Seats are surprisingly comfortable.
Great place to see music performed. Not a bad seat in place.
Saw the 8-bit Big Band here with Grace Kelly recently. Good acoustics naturally.
Geeat place but whoever designed this place wa 5 feet tall. The most u comfortable seating ever. Over one hour is a no go. No leg room
I love this place for sound but no comfort. Seats way to small. But only the best play here so I will always come back.
Located in the historic Back Bay, the Berklee Performance Center (BPC) is at the core of Bostons entertainment and cultural community. Many excellent restaurants and hotels, as well as the Prudential Center, Fenway Park, and the Hynes Convention Center, are within walking distance. The Berklee Performance Center is easily accessible by public transportation, with parking available in neighboring garages.Showcasing more than 200 events each year, the BPC may just be the busiest, most unique theater in Boston. Owned and operated by Berklee College of Music, the BPC hosts concerts by talented students, faculty, and visiting artists, as well as a wide variety of productions presented by outside promoters, arts presenters, and community organizations. Events at the BPC span every musical genre and represent a broad range of countries and cultures, from traditional artists to contemporary innovators defining the future of music.
Stunningly pro jazz performance by 4 vets; young and mature. Sensitive playing and listening all around with lots of flow changes in solos. Center sounded great as always.
This place is very narrow and deep. I tend to find the sound levels are a little loud at the front of the mezzanine.Berklee brings in great talent, of course, so the shows are great. There are a number of relatively convenient parking options nearby.
Super unconfortable. Middle schooler seats. That goodness the performances make up for the discomfort.
Great venue for the 8 Bit Big Band
The music was amazing. I spent $12 for a concert that a big name artist would charge 100s for equal quality. The wood strings and indian ensemble were mind blowing
India Arie was PHENOMENAL. I like the Berklee anyway for their professionalism and sound. Best place for a concert.
Not like Athens yet the sites were nice
Great venue, perfect size for comfortable shows and concerts. Staff are very friendly and accomodating!
Great venue but old folks dont dance.
Great venueRight on mass ave
Idia Are was amazing she made us part of the Show i love going there so intimate.
I enjoyed an excellent concerto!
The talent here with these Berkley college of music students in just fantastic. You want to here voices that can stop a stampede the of raging rhinos, this is the place.Absolutely amazing!
Loved the Berklee ... acoustically its one of the best halls ...
Awesome fellowship among believers
A good size hall. The acoustics are okay. Went here to witness a tabla performance by Zakir Hussain. The seats arent very comfortable. Id suggest buying seats at the stage level for a better experience. The upper levels dont provide a very good view of the stage. No food or drinks are allowed inside and there are no chairs to rest in the waiting area.
Great acoustics. Good sight lines. Good venue to see a show.
One of my favorite concert venues in Boston
Great place to see a show!
We go to the Berklee performance center quite often for musical productions and concerts.Always intrigued by the amazing talent we experience every single time, regardless if is jazz, R&B, Acapella competition or whatever else, they may have on the program. Great school with great teachers and incredible talented young people that warm your hearts and minds.
There is an old man very very rude in the staff!!! ! I just want to enjoy the performance. He wandered here and there and ruined our night!!
Nice venue, good size, good acoustics, and generally a knowledgeable audience make this a good place to hear music. And they have a broad range of music, often eclectic, that makes it worth following their schedule.
I went for Anoushka Shankar concert here. Although I was seated almost towards the last row, the audio was pretty good and I could actually see the stage, unlike many other similar venues.
Ive seen many shows over the years here, and it is one of my favorite venues. Great sound, and not a bad seat in the house.
Great performance by Chucho Valdes
Great acoustics and excellent performers
Good choice of artists performing. Smallish and seating in the back is not that good
I saw Esperanza Spalding here. Mezzanine level was a perfect view. Intimate and cozy atmosphere. Acquistic were great. Her show was awesome.
Had a great time at a recent event. The size and proportions of the space are a bit ungainly (its relatively narrow and deep) and the arrangement of the seats doesnt always provide good sight lines, but the acoustics are usually very good (as they should be in the performance space of a preeminent music school). Unfortunately, for the event I most recently attended, which was a competition, I think each team had a hand in its own amplification and might have benefitted from taking it down a notch.
Nice clean space. But the seats are one behind the other. Even though theyre stadium style, the ladys head in front of me covered half my view of the stage. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed the performance.
Fantastic venue. Sightlines are very good. Nice size, and acoustics are superb. This is the place to hear rock music, if you can. The only comparable sound is at Symphony Hall.
Diane Reeves... What more is there to say.
Enjoyed incredible performances by Liz Wright and Jose James in a venue that features great acoustics and high energy!
Great performance be Soweto Gospel Choir. We are lucky to have these musical choices in Boston.
Great performance space, great acoustics.Be aware if you are mobility limited, there is no elevator.
Leg space is extremely small. It’s not really suitable for a concert. You cannot see the singer if someone a bit tall sits in front of you. I guess it’s OK for small gigs.
Great acoustics.
Great venue for music.
The performance center was a great venue for the show that I went to and on the way in the staff was very curteous and helpful. Leaving was a terrible pain. They only use the back doors so if you have a seat near the stage be prepared to wait. The performance I attended had a merch table that made leaving even worse because the only place in the venue to set it up is in the entryway.
Nice place to see a concert in Boston
Nice sound, good venue
Wonderful production of Godspell! Love going there great acoustics.
The show we went to see was amazing, however it was a vlassical style show and a good part of the time you could hear drums from another stage or area being practiced
Great venue. Seemed like all were Great seats
A really nice organized and intimate theatre. Just wish it had basic coffee/pop available at least before and during intermission.
Sound techs need to figure out what there doing because they dont really know. Also went with friend who is diabetic and they wouldnt let her in with what she carries for emergency sugar. The performance was good, but everything else was annoying.
All seats on the floor level have a clear view of the stage. The theater feels very intimate.
Buying tickets online was easy. Location is good. Acoustic is pretty nice. Seats could be better.
Staff was very friendly, great views from anywhere. Leg room is a little small.
The Line-up, Liz Wright (surprised she opened) ever gracious, Melodiously perfect! Jose James, Soulful, Husky voice (visually Lenny Kravitz-esque and a pinch of Jose Feliciano vocally) Heightened by the flawless acoustics that Berkley Performance Center is graced with... This was my 1st time sitting in the front balcony and this my fellow music lovers, is where stars were lost never to be retrieved... The seating is so cramped, confining and uncomfortable (we saw a woman on a crutch trying to maneuver into a row where its anyones guess where she stored that). that we couldnt fully enjoy the performance. We actually left after her 3rd song because it was unbearable. Yet, Berkley is home to some of the most talented musicians, (past, present and future) where you can see students or a world renowned artists, who love and are honored to be there. So, all of that being said. I will always come back, however, never ever, ever, ever, will I ever sit in the balcony ever again!!! Orchestra Only!!!!!!!!!! Ohhhh, side note, ( dont know what the 2nd balcony offers) the usher wouldnt even attempt to take patrons to their seats, he mearly, and gestured for them to find their seats (people, climb at your own risk)!
Great place to see amazing shows for an affordable price.Only caveat, the student-run sound and lights are just that. Be prepared to put in your ear plugs (I forgot mine and it set off my tinnitus) and wear your sunglasses inside.
Wonderful venue to see Pink Martini! Not a bad seat in the house.
Great venue, one of Bostons best
Saw the Welcome to Nightvale-Spy in the Desert live show. It was great!
Went to a graduation ceremony. the center itself is in excellent condition. had to sit in the balcony. It wasnt difficult to make the climb.
Amazing show... Voices, music, staging, all top notch
Im a public safetey officer contractor there ever need private security services Im a private bodyguard also licensed public safetey officer contractor.
Place hasnt changed, leg room still an issue and Im only 51. Otherwise, performance by Anna Moura was great!
Great concert hall
There is a guy very very rude in the staff!!! He ruined our night, he was an old guy consistently talking and disturbing us in the concert!
Great place for concerts
Sound quality is not that much good.
So proud of my son! Amazing school!
Best acoustics in Boston but terrible sight lines. A great place for music, but for some kinds of performances and concerts, all youll see unless youre over 6 feet tall is the back of the head of the person in front of you.
LOVE this place. Convenient location, nice concert hall, many interesting concerts, vibrant atmosphere. We go there a lot and will be back soon.
Nice theater, sat way in the back in the nose bleed section.
Great memories
Went there for a college graduation ceremony.
10th anniversary blue grass fun
Great sound quality place for live music
Great place for top shelf music!!! No hassles.
Went to Hot Sardines show and it was amazing, both the show and the venue.
My daughter just started there. What an amazing place!
