We had an absolute blast here. Definitely recommend the “premium” seating for just a few dollars more- you sit front row and are almost certain to be engaged at some point by the cast. We came for the Main show on a Saturday night and will definitely be back for more!

Always entertaining! Perfect winter time activity when you have a couple of hours to spend in the North End. Arrive about five minutes before the show so that you dont have to wait in the somewhat crowded waiting area - you can always grab a drink at a nearby bar. Contrary to their website, the do scan tickets off your phone so no need to print them out.

I bought two tickets to the 10PM Friday show on a whim and I am so glad I did! I had no idea what to expect before the show started but it was a great time. The cast is incredibly talented and very invested in doing a great job. The supporting staff was professional and helpful. There was an unfortunate incident with a very drunk patron who threw their phone on stage. The staff handled the situation beautifully you barely noticed. The prices at the bar are reasonable and they move quickly to get everyone served before the show and during intermission (bar shuts down during the show). The lines may look long but the waiting area is small so the lines aren’t actually that bad.Would definitely go back for another evening show.

Two of the most fun hours Ive ever spent. The Main Stage cast probably has some of the best comedic timing and chemistry Ive ever seen! Everyone, from Patty to Joey to Matt to Anne is just immensely talented and my jaw was hurting by the end of the night from laughing so much for two hours! A great experience, and a must visit for anyone in the area looking for something to do in the evening.

I went to the 11/27 Wednesday night show. It was a good time. Seats were just comfortable enough, crowd was good. There was a comedian that struggled through the show and I felt that he was not as supported through the process. It was hard to watch.Would give 5 for a more supportive cast. Overall, a good way to spend a Wednesday night.

A guaranteed good time with friends! If youre not sure what your plans should be, this is it. Hilarious each time and relevant comedy to todays topics. Every few months I go to the main stage show, its always a treat. If you go to the late time, at midnight they usually have a free show for folks that attended it.

The show put on here was a once in a lifetime experience. The preformers are very talented and extremely personable, which is important due to their use of the audience during their act. The only negative thing about this place is that the drinks are a tad pricey, but you dont need the drinks to have a good time.

A fun atmosphere with performers who have lots of energy and quick wit which made for an entertaining show .... but some basic acting, vocal, singing, mime skills could be better. Felt like I was watching keen students/amateurs rather than experienced pros. I guess the performance skills are not the main focus for these guys but sometimes they werent quite able to get their ideas across. Were from the UK and were surprised that there were more Bostonian references and in-jokes than we expected.

An intimate stage in the basement. Grab a drink at the bar, it will make their great performance even better. Quite a lot of audience participation, even better if youre there for a special occasion, the cast will make it extra special for you. They have shows starting from 5pm all they way to midnight. You can buy online, but its cheaper if you just go in to their counter.

Improv Asylum makes me laugh every time! It is always the highlight of the night. Their jokes are hilarious no matter what your sense of humor is. They often pick somebody from the crowd to be part of the show which is never disappointing. If you bought tickets for an earlier show, they offer deals where you can come back later for another show. They also validate parking at a garage nearby for only $3 which is great because parking can be tough to find in the area or expensive. You just have to make sure you get back within 3 hours or you will have to pay the regular price at the garage. Would definitely recommend to all!

One of my favorite activities to enjoy with friends or make a date night out of. Always felt they put on a quality show that left me smiling and exhausted from laughing. Some nights were better than others, but thats based on the quality responses they got from the audience (Pro tip: Dont be dirty, be creative). They really engage the audience for material to work off of and mix in some of their own pre-developed content. The drinks are reasonably priced and theres an intermission to get more or go use the restroom. Highly recommend catching a show if youre visiting town or live around Boston.

We were there for a Tuesday night show where the crew tries out their brand new scripted skits, so the show was half scripted and half improve. The improve was great, we loved the comedians - very talented. Most of the skits were also good and a few not that funny. For $10 per ticket it was a great evening! We also liked the very intimate setting and audience engagement. Looking forward to coming back here next time we are in town.

I am from the UK, I had heard a lot about this place and was looking forward to it as a main event during our trip to Boston. I am a massive comedy fan and I was really looking forward to having a good laugh.I left in the intermission. I may have laughed twice in 30 minutes. I was and still am shocked at how highly rated it is. The humour wasn’t witty, jokes linear and one dimensional. I felt like I was watching a school act rather than seasoned pros. It isn’t an entirely improv act, there are pre prepared performances and they sucked.I gave this a two star because although the comedy and act werent great and deserving of a 1*, the experience would have been all the worse if it was a worse venue. The venue was alright, as far as comedy clubs go anyway.I had heard good things about the Boston comedy scene too...

Went on a Saturday night to the Main Stage Show at 10:00 with a friend. Easily the highlight of the weekend. Although tickets are a bit steep ($28+fees), it was worth every penny. When we got there around 9:45, the place was busy and there was a short line for drinks. Id recommend arriving about 20 minutes prior to the show so you can use the bathroom or grab a drink. Our seats were in the second row on the back side. Some have complained that its annoying that the actors are faced away for most of the show, but we found this to not be a problem at all. Additionally, we had a pole that blocked a small section of the stage which wasnt a big deal, either. The place is small enough that sound carries well, so you can hear everything. The comedy itself was fantastic. There were sketches and improv, and both were hysterical. The actors interact with the audience well, and use audience suggestions (and even audience members themselves) as part of the show, which means every show is unique.Fantastic way to spend 90 minutes. They even offered free tickets to the midnight show, but we didnt stick around. Highly recommend.

O my god this was amazing! I have not laughed that much in a while. Went to a 730 show and was promptly seated after grabbing some very tastey drinks from the bar. I would have given this 5 stars but its pretty expensive ($28 per ticket) and every time Ive been here it always seems so crazy and disorganized before the show and during the intermission when people are trying to grab drinks and hit the bathroom. The shows are always good, and to be fair if youre looking for a cheaper show there is a midnight raunchy show for $15, but that show is only an hour long. Worth a stop in if youre looking for something to do after a great Italian dinner, just mind the price.

Its essentially a comedy club in a basement. Once you get past that, though, everything else really works well. The drinks were good, the show was great, and the improv group was on point. First time at a professional improv performance! Really enjoyed the performers enthusiasm. I really liked the part where they interacted with the audience, I think its especially impressive to think up a sketch right on the spot. Every performer has a relative different persona and I think its a great match. The place wasnt big, but makes it more easier to interact with the audience. You can get there by the Train the Hayward market station and walk 5 minutes and youll be there. The door is next to CSV / Walgreens which leads to the basement. For check in, I have bought the ticket online, while they said to print out the ticket, it is not necessary since they just check your ID and name at the door. There is a bar downstairs where you can buy drinks for the show, I personally just brought my own juice and seems like they didnt mind. There is about 10 minute mid-time to go get more drinks or bathroom. The whole performance was about 2 hours, but might differ according to the cast / performance. My event was the The NXT Cast (2019). Highly recommend! A lot of couples and friends come to enjoy a good laugh.
