Bare bones comedy venue in a nightclub space. Drinks were a fair price, bit expensive ($10 for well) and other than a few tables the seating was mainly folded seats in a pit area. Nothing great, nothing terrible. Show itself was a bit of a bust, which was disappointing.

The club is nice; comics are good and staff keep everything flowing smoothly. As others have mentioned: 1)it can get quite chilly when they blast the air 2) no walk-up bar (drinks brought by waitstaff). It’s a nice way to start the night as the show only lasts 1-2 hours.

Small and bare bones, but good comics and good service. A bit chilly inside but after a few rounds and a few laughs, you barely notice. Get there early for the seats with tables

Great intimate club for comedy. Two words of warning. #1 its going to be colder in there than youd imagine, so dress warmly. #2 Arrive at least 20 minutes early to get good seating. During a sold out show you could end up behind a pillar or sitting sideways the whole show. They had several beginning acts for the show I went to. The quality of all the comics were there, so definitely worth the price. Lastly, they have a wait staff to bring drinks, so get cozy first, get drinks second. No food is served.

Great spot! Went here to see comedian, Pat Garrity while in town for a baby shower. Love how intimate the space is. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Would certainly see a show here again if in Boston. Pat was absolutely HILARIOUS by the way! Please have him back.

Great spot with funny comics. Show was from 8-10 so you could go out after or make it home at a decent time.

Had a great time once we figured out the venue had moved for the night. Would have left 5 stars if we had been notified of the change before we waited in line in the freezing cold.

Comedy club hosted inside a dance club, so unique, slightly strange seating arrangement and atmosphere. Pretty good service, though I only remember seeing one waitress the entire night, so she could probably use some help. It was really cold inside, so keep your jacket with you or layer up. Overall, Id probably go again.

It was freezing cold inside, not pleasant! The comedians were great but they were also complaining about how cold it was in there.I wont return.

So came here multiple times for comedy show. I think both things were a few months apart. Only one of the comedians performed twice with same set. The blonde girl Trish I think who opens. The 2nd time I went was in January. So apparently cause the club opens afterwards they dont turn on the heat because it gets crowded...but that leaves the room freezing for everyone in comedy show... People literally sat there in winter jackets and a hat for hour and half. Quite silly and ruined an otherwise good show...at least comics had material to make fun of.

Came here for a comedy contest in March and found the place uniquely refreshing. Most of the seating is comfy lounge rows. The bar is conveniently behind the seating. Wont come back since I didnt win the contest. Just kidding, I look forward to catching a show there soon.

The comedy act was good, and the drinks were fairly priced. The venue was *freezing* though - there were multiple people complaining and nearly everyone agreed vocally but that wasnt enough to find a way to do something about it

I have gone twice during Fall/Winter 2012 - both times were fun and I plan to go again!Sure, the decor isnt great, but the waitresss serves you pretty quickly, drinks are decent, and the comedians are funny. Being only 1 drink in, I laughed to the point of my face hurting both times. Isnt that what you go to a comedy club for? This place deserves better ratings than it gets. If you cant stand sitting in a folding chair for an hour, get there early enough to get seated at one of the many sofas at the sides of the room.

We saw a funny and affordable comedy show with great seating. The club changes over to a dance club with many bars that had been bleached. The odor was terrible to sit through.

Encountered 2 roaches on our seat, the white row couch, on Jan 14th 2017. The first was over my shoulder, the second was over my friends shoulder. We warned each other before it was too late. We are guys so we didnt make a fuss. The show and the crowd was dry. Perhaps I chose a bad not for comedy. But I did not enjoy it.

We were lucky enough to get a groupon for $15/each but I wouldve spent full price easily. The comedians were hilarious and we got great seats at a table near the stage. The show was quite long and worth teh money. Also, they have a cocktail waitress that takes your drink orders before the show starts and keeps you hydrated throughout all on a tab (without having to give a credit card). I was pleased with the comedians as well as the service.

Nicks is a great place to catch a good show for cheap. The atmosphere isnt anything special but the service is quick and during the show. Big names do come out and its always a great laugh.

Review №33

This is not the Nicks of past days. Its now remodeled as a dance club with folding chairs on the dance floor. No food, Drinks Outrageously Expensive, Headliner was ok but the room was so noisy that you missed a lot. Then they rush you out so the dancers can come in. We got cheep tickets on groupon but still not worth the money and wasting a night out.

Comedians are hilarious, environment is hideous. The headliner actually made a joke about the place and how awful is it. Everybody laughed. Oh, and they moved too, you have to walk another block to an basement of a club or some sort.
