Hilarious and so much fun! The cast could not have done a better job keeping the audience interested and interacting with everyone. The jokes were fresh (as in current) and you could tell the cast had as much fun as we did. I would recommend this show to anyone, any age. I definitely plan on seeing it again.

Very small on the inside so its a very intimate show where you get to feel very close to the artist/ performers. Blue man group was great. The playhouse catered to the fact I wore a heart monitor and that it could go off during the show. They even warned the blue men that if they saw the light of a cellphone from my seating area, not to play into it because its most likely my monitor. Very chill of them to do! You can walk outside and right back in so if you smile no issue there. Its really a nice place! Great bar, great bathrooms

What a fun show! The actors were amazing at engaging their audience and ad libbing from our participation. They clearly love their work and it shows! Id heard criticism before that they havent changed the show in years, but thats not true at all! The jokes were relevant, and the show is clearly never the same twice. Id go again for sure!

It was a great venue. Small enough to feel like an intimate show and it seems no matter where you sat, youd have a great view. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because it wasnt obvious if there was a place to purchase concessions to enjoy during the show. I knew we werent allowed to bring our own and I ended up getting SO incredibly thirsty! Overall the experience was great.

The show was EXCELLENT!! My and I has the best Mothers Day together. One of the Blue Men walked out from the stage and stood beside us! Definitely a GREAT time. Highly recommended.

I absentmindedly bought 3 Blue Man tickets for our group of 2 adults and 2 kids, and on show day not only did the house get me a fourth ticket in the same row, but ultimately was able to move us all to remain together in equally good seats. This staff is really wonderful, the venue is a perfect size and the Blue Man performance was raved about by our middle schoolers.

Absolutely LOVED Shear Madness. It was hilarious and topical, integrating pop culture references that were very relevant (like last week relevant). To say it is engaging is an understatement...they literally engage you in helping them solve the murder they are investigating. Its been running for 40 years for a reason! The theater has maybe 80-100 seats so its very intimate and you feel like youre a part of a community, enjoying the show and helping solve the murder.Whoever played Tony on the 11/14 production - WOW! I could watch you act for hours. Hilarious!

This theatre is the small and intimate alternative to the big stages like Symphony Hall or theatres on Broadway. Its a lot smaller than it seems from the diagrams. The theatre assigns seats at the start of the play, but I called the box office about a week in advance and they assured me a seat front and nearly center, despite it being a packed house on show day. Most of the seats come in pairs with a tiny table. The chairs themselves are very small and wooden. I found them to be somewhat uncomfortable, but not distracting (for reference, Im 63 230lb). My smaller friend didnt even notice. There are some larger tables near the sides and in the back. The refreshments were refreshingly affordable (for a theatre). I got a bottled water for $4 and a 12oz Sam Adams for $8.My only negatives are that the seats are cheap and that some seats are literally on the sides of the stage. Be careful to make sure you dont get seated at those. Other than those risks, it was a great night out!

We saw the BlueMen Group. They are great. But the theater is very small and the seats are not elevated. So if you dont sit in the 1st 2 rows and you are short, you will see heads only. Cant get those seats, then I would advise getting the cheapest seats because you can still hear but barely see.

Took our family to Blue Man Group on 12-27-18 for a Christmas gift. Purchased 9! tickets, roughly totaling $2100. You get what you pay for did not apply here. We enjoyed our time together, but no one was blown away by the performance. I saw the show three years ago and was impressed enough to think this was a good gift idea for our adult children, but was very disappointed. Also, two of my family members were asked to change seats in the show. They were told those seats were part of the show. Those seats were sold to me-at full price. This was not explained at any time. No apology was offered. I have lived in Boston for many years and in total support of the the theatre and its performers, but at the prices of tickets it should be a satisfying experience. I think it may be time to retire or give Blue Man Group a break for a while.

As a last minute decision we stopped in and were able to get great tickets. We split our party up in an effort to get the best seats possible but really any seat in the house would be good. The guys at the door were really nice. The woman in the ticket office was fabulous. I sat and waited for the rest of my party and heard her deal with many challenging requests and she was great and patient with everyone. Ive seen this show at least once a decade since it first came out. Its fun to see some of the original things like the crunching of the cereal but updates with new things like cell phones and communication. Its become a lot more family than it was in the 1990s! I guess the show always was but the messages on the boards at the beginning have tamed down a lot. My kids hung out after the show and one got a kiss on the forehead that left her with a blue lip print on her forehead and made her day.

First night visiting Boston from Toronto and this show was at the top of our list. First off, we were able to get our tickets on Groupon which allowed us to save a few bucks on the ticket price! If you are a CAA member you can also save money on the tickets. Anyways, the show was mysteriously hiliraous (shout out to my brother in law for that line)! The show was funny, interactive and relevant. Current event jokes were peppered throughout the show, which was great. One part we really enjoyed was the improv portions when the actors were interacting with the audience. This show is certainly a must see!

I saw the Blue Man Group show here. This is a small venue, which helps you feel very connected to the stage action. I was at the second-to last orchestra row, which was outside of the wet zone but still allowed you to easily see facial expressions. The group walked out into the audience and went everywhere (on the main level). They have a nice area for relaxing by the bar and bathrooms. The show itself was very entertaining. I didnt know what to expect doing in other than some degree of messiness. Its part magic show, part variety show, part comedy, part musical review, all with a heavy dose of audience participation.

Review №65

Do yourself a favor and put your phone on airplane mode or turn it off once you go down the stairs into the basement theater. Theres no signal and youre there to enjoy the show anyway. Oh and better yet use the bathroom beforehand since the one here is less than desirable. It is all the way on the top left side with a few turns down a mini-labyrinth. Real estate is pricey so the bathrooms are extremely cramped. They also have this raised platform for the actual 2 toilet stalls. Why is this necessary for the porcelain throne? You also need to be careful swinging the door open since it will block the person in the other stall from getting out.Of the many theaters Ive visited in Boston this one is a notch above the Orpheum in terms of comfort. If you have front row seats youre sitting a table of 4 or 5 chairs probably with strangers and the chairs are pushed together so close they are touching. (No elbow room!) They are also eclipsing the table next to you. The red chairs farther back are in the foldout movie set director chairs. (Is that the correct term?) Not sure if they are more comfortable but they look roomier. I have only been to this venue for Shear Madness. (Check out the review for that as well.) However, I imagine for Blue Man Group (on the list of things to do) they have splash zone warnings along with ponchos. They have a full bar in the back, but Im not one to pay exorbitant prices at any venue if it can be avoided. Just enjoy the show folks in this extremely intimate setting. Aside from the security upon entering who gave me grief for non-existent metal in my jacket all of the other staff were relatively helpful.
