Great little museum with a beautiful rooftop terrace, a great view of MGH, clean and handicap accessible facilities. Happened upon the place after a medical appointment and was really impressed. Was a nice breath of fresh air and a breather from the hectic hospital area. Free admission and high informational, glad to have visited and I look forward to visiting again in the future. All gender restrooms and friendly staff make this museum truly a gem!

This museum threw back memories of cool stuffs like minor surgical instruments with historical background, lights microscopes, medical diagnostics/imaging information about human brain, etc. It also has interactive touch screen computers and not so interactive Electronic Health Record (EPIC), and many more.. Those were things I could remember. Overall its a pretty informative, small yet cozy, centrally located and free museum. Highly recommended.

Very interesting history of MGH and it being the first place of practice for medical students out of Harvard. Free admission, informative, and has a beautiful rooftop garden. Definitely worth checking out if around the area :)

Decent museum of MGH history - worth a visit if youre in the neighborhood, but not otherwise. Doesnt actually have that many historic objects, but it will still be interesting if youre interested in medicine. Rooftop patio on the fourth floor, but isnt high enough to get a good view. Takes an hour to get through everything.

I was fortunate enough to find this place on Google Maps completely by accident, I knew I had to pay a visit as a medicine enthusiast. Its a pretty small museum, but still, I spent there a ridiculous amount of time. Im only a medic but the medical language was simple enough for me, yet Im sure pretty informing and interesting to people more knowledgeable than I. The staff was really kind and helpful, answered questions and taught me interesting things. Would recommend anyone with passion for the medical field from any background and level of knowledge!

A charming public museum about MGH and medical history. Fascinating for both medically inclined and history buffs. Well laid out with nice displays, the science is, of course, simplified for the general public, but with enough substance to satisfy those with a technical or medical background. A very nice PR and neighborly effort by this venerable institution, and an easy walk from the MGH T station. Dont miss the healing garden at the top of the Yawkey building.

Small museum of medical history. Nicely laid out, spacious. I particularly liked the interactive displays that help visitors walk through some diagnostic indicators. I did not finish (ran out of time) so i did not get to upper floors, but this is a good, informative way to spend a few hours, and helps visitors learn a bit about how medicine, as a field, happens. Not noticeable from traffic. I saw it because i was walking by, but in Boston walking is the only sane choice.

Relatively small, but excellent, museum which chronicles technological innovation in medical treatments. Situated in the newest addition to the Massachusetts General Hospital campus, and complete with a rooftop garden, highlights of the museum include several MGH firsts. Free to the public and a must for anyone with an interest in medicine and the larger history of science. Parking is challenging in the MGH area, but this museum is served by the MBTA red line Charles / MGH subway station.

Great museum about the MGH, bur missing much info regarding non-US medicine. Most of the exhibit is in the first floor with easy access for everyone, and the second floor is mainly a lecture area and paintings. The roof garden is very nice for a break on your walkabout, since its halfway from/to the Science Museum and Faneuille hall.
