The staff onsite are doing a really good job of making sure everyone is keeping their masks on properly and there are sanitation employees cleaning everything as often as possible. The cafeteria is also very clean and with enough space between tables for social distancing. However, more work needs to be put into making sure that visitors arent overcrowding small areas. I had to move with my group often to avoid crowding in a single room.

Great experience. Very few people on Friday afternoon. Its COVID age.. they have dedicated staff sterilizing everything. I saw them everywhere spraying and wiping.Other than that Boston Museum of Science is the BEST. I have been to many.If you come more than once per year buy the Basic membership. It pays off, plus there is always something new to discover

A very nice museum with a lot of interactive areas. With covid they do a good job with putting hand sanitizer everywhere and making announcements about keeping your mask on. Some things are closed but you can do a lot of things and I really enjoyed this museum especially the behind Pixar exhibit. Which is a special exhibit that goes behind the scenes of how they make Pixar movies like toy story, monsters inc. and inside out. It’s a really cool thing to see but I don’t know how long it’s gonna be there for. But this is a place to come if you’re exploring Boston.

This place is massive with plenty of things to do and learn about. It takes about a whole day to get through it all especially if you bought the add on shows like the planetarium and such. If youre one of those people who like to read and understand ever plaque and detail you may want to give yourself a lot of time and it will probably be a 2 day trip. Currently because of COVID restrictions they do not that their lightening show which is in my opinion the best part. The cafe has limited options but Im glad its open. You are allowed to bring in your own food but can only eat them in the cafe. They have sanitizer stations about every 15 feet so you can disinfect after using the hands on stations. This is great if you have kids. By far the best science museum Ive been to so far.

The Science behind Pixar exhibit is amazing. We spent nearly 2 hours in that exhibit alone- we went at 9 am and for the first hour it was just us in the exhibit so I recommend booking that time slot if you’re interested in listening to and experiencing all of their stations. At 10 am when the next group of people entered there were so many kids and people it was too loud to listen to the videos and enjoy the exhibit. We stayed at the museum from opening to close and we were able to visit everything that was open except the planetarium exhibit. The guy who checked us in (he was wearing a Mike from monsters inc mask today) was really friendly and even recognized us when we re-entered after visiting the food court. The food court food was actually good! We were worried about having to leave to eat somewhere else to come back but the falafel plate was okay and was the most decently priced meal of our trip. We were pleasantly surprised - especially after reading reviews about how the food court food wasn’t that great .

Great place to take young kids to spend the day or a few hours watching them learn. Theres plenty to take in at the Museum of Science and I always feel like theres something that I missed before in the permanent exhibits (of course theres new, fascinating stuff to check out in the temporary exhibits). It is nice to go out and stroll along the water on the backside of the museum, too. We like to park in Cambridge at the mall (and if it is lunchtime, get a bite to eat) and then head over. This makes for easier parking, easier departure as turning left out of the parking garage can get tricky, and it allows us to get more steps in for the day.

There was an amazing amount of interactive stuff to do at the museum. We also went to see a live animal show which was really fun. We were a group of adults and it was nice that everything was aimed at people of all ages. We were lucky enough to be there at the same time as the Dog exhibit, which is where we ended up spending most of our time. The view of the river when you first walk in is stunning as well. We were visiting from out of town so it was amazing to see the river and learn about the waves at the same time.

The guides were entertaining and informative, and they seemed to care a lot about what they were doing. This place is an absolute gem for children in order to spark their minds as scientists. Not only does it include exhibits but there are many interactive activities to do within. I felt like this would be a wonderful opportunity to bring kids to learn and captivate interest in science. Being a college student, I still found some of these shows/exhibits rather entertaining and Im still learning from it. Although on the smaller side, I think this museum was an incredible experience. I highly recommend the electricity show. Parking was >$20 for about 5 hours but was attached to the building. The museum was easy to find and the overall experience was a bunch of fun

Its a great place to spend some quality time in Boston. Covers different science topics with interactive displays. In these COVID-19 times I was very skeptical about going to a museum but I was VERY impressed with the precautions they have in place. They make sure there are no more than a certain amount of people in one place and theres a hand sanitizing station seemingly every 20 feet so you can still touch and play with the exhibits. I had a blast and I felt safe there. Now is a great time to go to avoid crowds!

My 4 year old and 2 year old have a blast at the Boston Science Museum. There is more to do than you can cover in one day so there is always something new to explore. Its fun for all ages, including us adults. My sons favorite was the life size working toilet which was cut in half that shows how things flush. The butterfly room, live animal shows, and dinosaurs were a big hit. He also loved the space capsule which he could climb into. My daughter loves pretty much everything. For those that dont bring their own food, the cafeteria has a great selection. There is a salad bar with fresh fruit and salad options. There are also several stations with sandwiches, burgers, and pasta. The prices are reasonable and our party with 4 adults and two children ate well for approximately $50.

The museum of science is absolutely wonderful! There are several exhibits that cater to each person’s learning style and interests. There are great learning opportunities for little ones to see the impact of their lifestyle choices on the environment, and child and adult alike will find the many interactive exhibits to be well-worth the price of admission. I particularly enjoyed the “What I Eat: Around the World in 25 Diets” and I cant wait to see how this museum continues to evolve with its exhibits. An absolutely wonderful place to go for a day trip. All of the exhibits are well thought out and not a single activity was run down or broken. There’s countless things to do. I was there from 11am to 5pm and still didn’t see everything. The Body exhibit was incredibly well done and an amazing experience. I saw the Polar Express 4D movie and it was great, although the chocolate scent was kind of disgusting. It is not a good place for sensory sensitive folks although I haven’t looked to see if they’ve got specific days for that (as some museums do). They seem to handle large school trips well; they can definitely accommodate them. The cafeteria is probably the only thing I didn’t like. The selection was great; lots of typical lunch foods as well as healthy options and snacks and tons of drinks. The area to sit and eat had a beautiful view of the river but was too clustered and not clean at all. Other than that the building was spotless. The gift shop was pretty standard in terms of pricing. Good quality items and an impressive selection of things: games, clothes, tiny toys, post cards, books, etc. I bought a little book for those pennies you can grind logos into, and a mug with the anatomy of the brain printed into it, and paid about $30.A wonderful experience. I can’t wait to go again. The worst part of the entire day was just driving through Boston in rush hour!
