What a beautiful venue! They sell three prices for the space, but honestly, it is tough to have a bad seat here. Acoustically, the room is great. Stylistically, the balcony is neat, though I got a little bit of vertigo due to the shapw of the seating. It seems to curve down on the sides.

Beautiful spot. We sat in the front row, upper balcony. at first it seems like it would be hard to see whats going on on the stage but its a nice view of everything. There is a garage to park at right next to the hall, so that was convenient.

Beautiful, landmark concert hall with amazing acoustics and an intimate ambience, especially considering its size. Wonderful performances occur throughout the year in this hall, and music lovers NEED to experience this space! Many of the concerts are free too, as the hall is part of New England Conservatory of Music, and faculty and students of the highest caliber perform there regularly.

Acoustically, Jordan Hall is marvelous. I dont think theres a bad seat in the house. _However_, to achieve that, the outer rows of seats are tilted, worse as you approach the stage. Feels very odd until you figure out how to position yourself (basically, swivel toward the stage, if your neighbor will let you.)

What a magnificent place to listen to music. I was attending the Boston Gay Man Chorus Christmas concert. This year was absolutely magnificent. They added a small brass band that complimented perfectly the Man voices of the choir. Additionally, it gave the holiday spirit with the sound of bells . Could it be more perfect than that.

It cant be said often enough - Jordan Hall is frequently and accurately described as a Boston-area treasure. Its a small miracle to have both Symphony Hall and Jordan Hall only a city block apart (and Boston concertgoers have at least four magnificent places to hear classical repertoire). Jordan Hall is visually inspiring, and has beautiful sound throughout the Hall. Many concerts there are free, and a wide variety of musical organizations perform there (its great for Jazz and other new music as well). If youve never heard a concert in Jordan Hall, consider placing it towards the top of your list of things to do before New Years.

New England Conservatorys Jordan Hall and the Boston Baroque program Jephtha - fantastic! It was a first time going. We will go back. The hall is beautiful and intimate. Really not a bad seat in the house. Lovely details throughout the hall that makes me think of it as a smaller Boston Symphony Hall. We have walked by it and heard reference to Jordan Hall over the years, but have never made the step towards going in or finding an event to go to there.Spoiler alert: we live in the suburbs and do not get into Boston as much as wed like. The Boston Baroque 26 musicians played on historical instruments. i.e. violoncello, harpsichord, etc. Loved them all.For this production there was also the Boston Baroque Chorus. Wow...25 voices strong!Plus, the featured artists - six fabulous voices- who sang Handels oratorio, Jephtha. The combination of musical instruments and voices both individual and chorus was tremendous. The countertenor, Randall Scotting, was a treat. I have not experienced such a lovely strong high voice emanating from a male. The others were equally delightful. Strong wonderful voices. This show was a treat. I recommend it for all senses. Beautiful to look at and listen to; fantastic setting. Even comfortable seats. We sat in the balcony - stage right, and the view of the stage from above allowed us to seeing the chorus in the back really easily. Yet, it seems all seats would be great. For us a discovery of another place to head into Boston for a night out.Gainsborough garage -right nextdoor- has event parking for $22 for the evening. Perfect. The event was a birthday evening organized by my son who found the event onGroupmuse. Tix were $15. (Normally $65) and as mentioned very good seats.Have a great evening in Boston by going to a Boston Baroque program. Wow, it was memorable. Thank you to all the creators of this heavenly music.I will definitely look to go again.

Great place to hear a concert, particularly orchestras. Smaller space so youre closer to the stage than at Symphony Hall. The seats in the center are level and then the floor slopes down towards the stage. So if youre sitting on the left or right sides, you end up sitting slanting slightly side-to-side. An odd sensation but doesnt bother me too much. Street parking can be tough in this neighborhood. Many concerts here are free. Check NECs website (New England Conservatory)

For those not directly related to the conservatory, Jordan Hall is a little gem tucked discretely at the south of Back bay. Concerts are usually free, music is always fantastic, and the acoustic quality is outstanding, probably only behind the bigger Symphony Hall across the street.Mind you, just turn your cell phone off, like, really off. And dont cough.
