This place needs an overhaul. Cups are all broken and damaged. Greens are covered in dirt, rocks, leaves. Fountains have standing water. No social distancing being practiced. Not one of the patrons were wearing a mask. Would hate to come at dusk because it’s in the woods. Won’t be back.

Sunrise mountain mini golf is located right next to a great bar named the Cardinal. It is challenging but fun and close enough to the woods that we saw a deer while we were there. There is a coffee bar and art inside of the building where the bathrooms are also.

Excellent!!! We arrived early before the crowds as we heard it gets busy. Great course on the side of the hill. A bit worn here and there, but that almost made it better. Well be back!

Tried to go on a Saturday night. Checked the website and Facebook and both said that the mini golf was open and it was updated 3 weeks ago. . Upon arrival at 7:45 the gentleman working said they were closed with an attitude.

Fun course but definitely needs updates. I miss the waterfall that was a great feature! Hasnt changed much since I was a kid. Please get rid of the holly bushes and pine bushes around the course those do not feel good when your trying to put and bump into one.

My family had fun, but largely because we were laughing at this courses haphazard (no pun intended) design. Theres no universe in which the listed par values is reasonable for these holes. With a bit of maintenance and retroactive design work though, this could really be a fun course. Nice location with lots of shade and elevation changes consistent with areas mountainous landscape.

Who doesnt love mini golf?! This course was fun and at times pretty challenging. We choose a very popular time to go and the course was packed with families but we still head a great time. We had a great time, next time we roll through we will see if our game had improved any.

If you love mini golf, you will love this one. This is not your average old fashioned flat mini golf course, but is a nice, challenging adventure type mini golf course. The pricing is reasonable, and the holes are challenging. The mini-golf course is older than some of the other adventure courses, but that adds to the charm of the course. The owner was more than friendly, she was old school and gracious; she and her husband have had the course for decades.Next trip to Boone, well go back--I love to hear my wife laugh, and we both beat our 23 year old son!

My husband and I were on our biannual vacation to NC when we discovered this little gem. We had seen the establishment during a winter trip, however they are only open during the summer. When we saw they were open this past trip, we had to check it out. I have never been to a nicer adventure mini golf course and I have been to a lot, especially in the Orlando, FL area. The course is beautifully groomed and has a nice view when you get to the top. It is nestled on a hill that progresses up and then back down. You get a surprising challenge when trying to make your way through each hole. The only thing to be careful of is to not hit the ball too hard at the bunkers. You will be chasing it. Once we finished the course, we talked with the lovely woman whos husband had created the course. She was so friendly and a joy to chat with. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning.

Had the rudest family jumping everyone on the course with kids running around and everyone screaming across the course. The course itself needs a lot of work. Holes are higher than ground, the green was peeling, it was dingy. Not the best putt putt.

Review №31

Putt putt official this is not. Fun if you come with a liaise fair attitude it is. The stairs are intense if you have knee or hip problems, the holes are very up hill or down, and unfortunately the carpet used is worn in places. Unfortunately that means that well judged putts end up back at your feet because the slope is too much for the green speeds. The occasional hole in one will occur, but the cardinal sin of a ball getting stuck in a pipe during a two part hole was not fun, nor was the fact that we couldnt dislodge it. Its not that this place wasnt fun, but be prepared for the unfair.

My brother and I went here on a little ride to the mountains one evening. It wasnt in the greatest condition, but I havent had more fun in ages. Decent exercise as well. Its built on the side of a mountain/hill, with lots of walking to do.

We come to the area twice a year from vacation. This time, our son finally decided the wanted to give it a try. 2 days in a row, we pull up outside between 3:30 & 4. Day 1: closed due to rain and it had not rained all day. Day 2: closed due to rain and my wife and I were out on the motorcycle all morning with no rain. Couldnt get anyone to answer the phone to inquire about why they were closed either.

We had a good time playing mini golf here on our visit to the Boone area. I cant give 5 stars because the course needs some updating. Some of the greens are ripped and can cause problems with your shot. Pricing was fair for 18 holes.

My wife and I take mini golf very seriously. So seriously, in fact, it would be comical, if it were not so serious. There are two kinds of miniature golf courses: Adventure Golf, or Putt-Putt.Putt-Putt is soul sucking worthlessness that undermines everything that made America great.Adventure Golf is awesome.Magic Mountain Mini Golf is the only Adventure Golf course in the North Carolina High Country. The course is geographically, geologically, and anthropologically apropos: it climbs up and down a steep hill, the features are appropriate to the region (no lighthouses, windmills, or whales with closing jaws of doom), and offers enough of a challenge for repeated play.If you tend to navigate your local large box retailer in an electric scooter, or if your school has sent a note home with your children warning that they are stealing the other kids lunches, then Id suggest playing elsewhere.
