The waterfalls are beautiful indeed. And there are maintained trails. But dont believe the paved part in the description. The trail gets hard to pass from time to time and me and my kids looked all over for the promised paved part. Not sure about the looped part either.

This was a nice way to spend an hour. Its only about a 3 minute hike over a rocky and root covered trail. Park on one side of 321 then cross over to the trail head on the other side of the road. Fun exploring and pretty falls.

LOVE Trashcan Falls! Introduced when I was a student at ASU and now bring my children! They jump for hours and always ask to go back...we always have the best time! Highly Recommend!!

Great place for adventures and swimming and hiking and exploring. Close to a parking area and scenic enough to drown out the cityscape. Beautiful and peaceful.

The falls were beautiful, but we never could find the 2.3 mile paved path that google refers to. There aren’t any trail markers, and the short trail into one side of the falls is rocky with a lot of roots. This is a great place to swim, but not so much if you’re looking to hike.

This place is so beautiful! Plenty of spots to hangout on rocks, take a dip in the water, and enjoy the views. There is a small parking area and the falls are only a short walk off the road.

There’s a fun rope to get down, but if you’re not able bodied I would not recommend. Parking is pretty tight and there’s some littering that needs to be picked up. The river can get really crowded but the spot is great and there’s some really fun jumps. The drive is beautiful there too.

Great falls to visit, however description is wrong. It is not accessed by a paved 2.3 trail. Pics show trail entrance that is not marked. It is across the street from gravel roadside parking area.

Great hangout spot to swim, wander around in the river, and enjoy some really pretty scenery! I will say it was super packed when we got there definitely a hangout spot for the college kids in the area, but it was still lots of fun!

Beautiful location. Just a tip the parking is next to the river. If you walk across the street, there is an entrance straight to the falls. We walked down to the river from the parking side and had a short but interesting hike to the falls.

Lovely looking enough falls. The maps directions were not at all helpful. This location is known to locals as Trashcan Falls according to one guy I talked to when we parked which is a tiny little gravel spot just off the road on a curve which makes it difficult to leave being blind from both sides. Then there is the trail: not marked, and not for the unsure footed. Lots of rocks and steep steps and roots aplenty. There really was a lot of trash and broken bottles for a place thats so highly recommended by Google reviews.

Man!!!!! I fell in love with this place. Crystal clear water. Beautiful waterfalls. And a 20ft jump to jump off of. If you dare. Lol. But very peaceful. Bring a inner tub. You can definitely float down stream on it. Lol. Hours of fun. I swear to it. And every one around us was happy. Loved it.

Difficult to find the entrance, stopped and asked a local who was a great help! Posting a pic of the trailhead (which is not marked in any way). You park and then cross the street, slightly to the right and the trailhead appears it is a couple of falls that run down, kids had a blast swimming and jumping off rocks! Fun to climb around, got some really good pics.Even met the falls local dog Sydney, she was so sweet and loved everyone. Definitely a worthwhile place to visit

So beautiful and breathtaking! Great place for risk takers to find their adrenaline rush. Trail is not handicap accessible. To reach trail, cross the road carefully from where the GPS will take you, and there is a small opening to the path. Short, scenic trail to the falls. Check out the watering hole before jumping in to make sure where you plan to jump is safe. Have fun!!

A hidden gem! Off the highway with no visible signs. When we went, we had the place completely to ourselves and it is so beautiful. There were yellow butterflies flying everywhere! When we jumped in we had to make sure we jumped over a log so just pay attention where youre jumping of course. Theres also a cute little clearing with a grill. Have a picnic!

The swimming area and the falls get 5 stars. However, the parking was absolutely horrible! People park sideways taking up 2&3 spots. Or park several feet away from the person beside them, but not leaving enough space for another car to fit between. Which made it hard to park. So. Other than that, great, fun place for the family. I do recommend water shoes!

Review №43

Beautiful but not for the faint of heart. If you dont like heights, stay away! To get to the swimming hole, you must either jump in from one of the many jumps or cross a plank over a waterfall. The only way out of the water is across this plank.

Laurel Creek Falls --Trash Can Falls is an unfortunate moniker created when people gave directions decades ago and also didnt know the real name of this beautiful location, Laurel Creek Falls. People were told to park at the dumpsters (no longer there) on Hwy. 321 and walk up to the falls, which they dubbed Trash Can Falls. It is a swimming hole. Diving or jumping into the falls are discouraged as some accidental deaths have occurred at Laurel Creek Falls in this manner over the years.
