Came here yesterday for my birthday and it was worth the trip. They are under new ownership and the staff was very friendly. I found myself talking about hair and nails along with what gems we found. My husband and I split a medium bucket and got plenty of gems out of it. Well worth a repeat visit for sure.

We went to do a little gem mining but ended up fishing! Caught a nice 6 lb trout! Good eating too

What a great experience. We purchased the Big Daddy bucket for $68. My daughter and I spent at least two hours sifting through the ore. They give you everything you need and the facilities are clean and comfortable. You can do your sleuthing indoors or out. We found tons of gems in our bucket. Everything from Amethyst, Tourmaline, Rubies, Garnets, plus many other precious stones including emeralds. At the end the staff checks your discarded material and makes sure you didnt miss anything worth saving. Then they top the experience off with going over your findings in detail by sorting it all, identifying the stones, and giving you the geological history of the stone and how it came to be. Our bucket price also included a cabochon of one of the stones YOU found. Fun and Educational. Knowledgeable and very friendly staff. They also have a store inside that sells all types of handmade jewelry. Dont miss this place if you are in the area. Best Gem Mine experience I have ever had!

The gem buckets are certainly salted with gems but the kids had a blast. Well come back next year.

Gem buckets are cheap, but hardly worth half the price.
