I would have went to rock of ages but it was my sisters birthday and she chose this. Weve done this same thing in Chicago and weve gone to Dave in Busters in Grand rapids, its all the same. A lot of rides are broken and it steals your money many times. One cool thing they had was a photo booth but it was also out of service. The only fun game was deal or no deal, so fun! Def just a money dump. Nothing really cool and exciting. Not even any 3D things like Chicago had.

We had a clinic staff holiday party here last Friday, and it was great experience for everyone. Tyler, the bartender, was amazing! Very attentive, very helpful, and did a good job of keeping us all comfortable. The only point I should bring up is that we had kids in our party, and kids are not allowed to be in there past 9. We had someone come up and tell us the kids have to leave, and the kids got a little scared from that interaction. But, our awesome bartender Tyler went out and cleared it all up and said the kids were fine since they were with our party. Maybe in the future, kids in parties should get a wristband or something to let other people know they are with a party and are okay to be in there. Otherwise, no issues and everyone had a fun time!

Bowling, bar, arcade, and restaurant all rolled into one. They just added a console gaming lounge about a year ago and its a blast. Some of the games tend to break down a lot, but theyll usually just put your tokens back on your card if theres a problem. Friendly helpful staff, great beer selection, great wings.

Its like the Dave and Busters that was here before, but just a little more sad. The food selection was pretty good, but that gets countered by the beers on tap. It was either old, or the taps needed cleaning, but I only needed one drink to know to go to bottles. The games that they have there are about what youd expect, with the carnival-style ticket-spewing ball throws, the cruising worlds, and time crisis style rail shooters, when theyre not down for maintenance. They also have a computer section, though I dont know much about it. It seems like a decent place to have a sit down, or maybe roll the bowling ball around a bit.

Upon arrival, we were met with an amazing staff that greeted us with smiles and the desire to assist us with all of our needs. We would especially like to thank Elias & Steph who provided our beverage and food service throughout the night. They did an exceptional job serving our 80 guests with very positive attitudes and make us all want to plan future events at Gameworks! We would also like to thank Jim whom assisted us with the event planning. Well...it took forever for the waitress to come and take our order and when she did it was only for drinks. Those of us who dont drink had to get up and get our own water. Took about 15/20 minutes for the drinks to finally arrive. Took another 25/30 minutes to get the food. Once the food arrived SOME people were OKAY with theirs. Some vowed to never go back again. Me- Ill NEVER go back. The nachos a coworker and I received were terrible. The cheese was cold and thick, some of the chips were soggy and it was piled so high that you had to dig around in it to find a couple bites you Might like. Then we asked for a game tech who NEVER showed up... NEVER! Save your sanity and go to Dave and Busters.

Just like most other arcades, except with a bar in the middle. We went on a Friday night (Valentines day) and there were definitely more adults playing than kids, which was perfect since we didnt have our kids with us. The gameplay seemed to be more expensive than at other arcades and the rewards more expensive as well. Our $110 did not last long... but we still had fun.

I called before I came because I wanted to know pricing on bowling. The person didnt tell me instead just explained the facility, so I called the next day and I was told it was $4.50 an hour per person plus a $3 shoe rental. I thought this was a pretty good deal so my girlfriend and I decided to come and bowl. When we arrived and we went to pay the total came out to around $33. There was absolutely no indication of pricing anywhere inside the actual facility that I could see. At least not at the bowling register where you are actually paying.I wanted to be sure I purchased the right amount of time or something because the price I paid was completely off. The receipt is not itemized and the person who charged me told me what I was paying for so quickly I couldnt understand. But she already ran my card before I could ask. I went back up to the register and she told me she would explain it slowly since I had a hard time understanding.Balls got stuck more than once and they shut the lane down for 5 minutes which is very scummy since I was paying for an hour. The only reason Im giving this 2 stars has nothing to do with Gameworks at all, but because I actually enjoyed bowling with my girlfriend so that was the best part of this awful experience. I will not be returning to Gameworks and I suggest others not put up with what I did to try and salvage what could have been a fun experience.

My friends and I had an absolute blast here. Ill be honest, arcades in my experience have been kinda hit or miss for me depending on their game selection, but Im happy to say that Gameworks has a fantastic variety that kept even picky ole me happy. I was impressed with how generally well kept the space was (clean, in good repair). I had some of the food as well, and thoroughly enjoyed it all. The bowling was 10/10 - I did better than Ive ever done before, so I think these lanes must have some good juju. Its a great place to host an event or just kill some time.

Its at the mall, kids get to burn energy and adults can relax or play games too!Staff are typical seasonal young adults, no complaints but if you tip them a few bucks up front... Then when we were turning our tickets in for stuff for our kiddos the guy didnt explained how it worked so we figured that out ourselves. Then when we got up to the desk the guy just said Card. Then nothing else to us. Boyfriend told him he was being kind of rude and no sorry or anything just stared at us. Not a very good experience.

We went there to celebrate two birthdays as a group of 8 people. first thing I noticed was the bathroom was a mess as there were paper towels everywhere. this was due to the garbage overflowing with them. a few games were entirely out of order; some of the card readers were finicky and hard to get to work. it was now nearing the end of the night as we walked to the ticket redemption area.everything was ok up until this point. we checked our tickets and added them up together for a total of just under 1700 tickets being on 6 cards. we then picked out what prizes we could get with our limited budget. as we got to the counter we gave the worker all 6 cards to pool our tickets together and redeem our prizes. after watching the employee struggle for 10 minutes trying to add all of our tickets onto one card, another employee came to help.one of them messed up in adding the ticket count to one card and left us with one card being with only 153 tickets. the first employee said this ticket count isnt right. the second then flew his hands in the air saying something along the lines of thats all the tickets they have I cant do anything. one card had 153 tickets on it before we came to the redemption counter. so that means 5 out of the 6 cards had their tickets wiped clean. we were entirely upset and walked out of the arcade with nothing redeemed and left all 6 cards on the counter.this all happened as the system for redemption has about 30 or so bar codes and the worker was scanning them countlessly to get it to work. I cant fathom how this system is still in service being as convoluted as it is. needless to say I will probably never be coming back to gameworks again after this terrible experience!

You can get a pretty good deal for just $40. Two pizzas and an hour long unlimited game pass for 4 people. Pizza was awesome and a bit fancified! Good stiff drinks too! So I posted a few photos of the broken games at Gameworks. Really disappointed, some games looked like they work, and took your points even and then just wouldnt let you aim? Or they were just off, or the coin slot door where you swipe your card were just kicked open..... they did let us share the groupon for unlimited games, but when over 1/3 non ticket dispensing games do not work(that is what the groupon is for), then what is the point? Of course the premium games that dispense tickets all worked fine though ;)When I reported the 1st broken game to someone on the floor, they said ok I will report it again and had nothing else to say?If you have a limited time to spend at the Mall, try your luck at the Nickelodeon arcade, you will probably be better off down there.

I did not have the best experience here because first of all, I got a $35 card and used it up in around 20 minutes and for a arcade this big, I think it could have been better. Second, most of the claw machines were weak. But I gave it two stars because there is a good selection of games which is quite appealing to say the least and the atmosphere was pretty nice. But I think this GameWorks needs improvements.

We frequently go here whenever we are at MOA. We had a birthday party here this time and it was awesome. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a great time bowling and then tons of fun just playing in the arcade. Most of the games work a few are off limits to the timed pass. And pay attention to which way you have to swipe the game cards, sometimes you have to flip the card but 1hour of gameplay was really fun for the entire party. We got 10 cards so plenty for everyone. The package was for 10 people which included shoe rental and three pizzas, they also allowed us to bring in cupcakes. We got an additional salad and sampler tray as well and the total was close to $280. I’m going to say that was a good deal. We’ve had similar parties at other bowling places and it cost way more.

I came here with some friends for something of a birthday get together. Pretty fun, all things considered (aside from a lost/stolen phone, but this isnt the reason for 4 stars). We all got to play some games and have some fun. I cant personally speak for the food or esports lounge. However, I have a slight issue with some of the machine service at this establishment. On one of my visits, a simulation racing machine was broken down (a cycraft Initial D video game), which was slightly disappointing since that was the game I was most hoping to play, but understandable -- machines break down every so often. I asked an employee how long it would take to fix. They said parts would come in about a week. I came back probably more than a month later, and the machine was still not fixed.Other than some issues with service on their machines, it is still a fun video arcade. The gameworks chain has fun games, even some you may not find anywhere else. With some improvements to overall machine maintenance, I would highly recommend giving this arcade a shot.

Still fun..... its an arcade with beer. It was downtown Minneapolis then disappeared for years. So there is a nostalgia factor for my friends and me. The games are fun, and the staff is friendly. The reason for my 3 star review is that they use a card system. (you go to the front counter, pay for credits, and they give you a card.) This card is also how you get your tickets for prizes. The card takes 5-10 min to update with winnings, but if someone else plays the game after you do, the system will put YOUR winnings onto someone elses card. My buddy won the jackpot at the ball drop game numerous times, which is 500 tickets, only to discover that he had 750 tickets, when he shouldve had well over 3000. This is how we discovered the issue with your winnings not updating right away, and other people getting credited for your win. I get it, its a game, but youre essentially paying for other peoples winnings because of this delay in the system. My buddy was luckily credited, as the staff reviewed the cameras and saw that he did win the game as many time as he said he did.

Have to be honest, I was disappointed for a couple reasons. For one, nobody ever mentioned that it was unlimited gameplay for $10. That would have been nice to know before we bought and used a groupon and bought more than we ever wanted to. 21+ after 9 every night.A bunch of your typical arcade games plus game consoles and computer gaming. I havent been bowling since the rebranding. I realize its not chuck e cheese but its not really a family venue unless your kids are at least 10. My kids had a little fun but probably bugged adults wanting to play some games, since they didnt really know how to play them. Remember, it goes 21+ at 9 probably for this reason and after a certain time kids/ teens arent allowed in the mall without a parent (or adult). Over all, well go back.
