The trail around the pond/lake/former gravel pit is almost exactly 1 mile around. So it is perfect for runners to practice lap times. The park district even recently marked 1/10 mile increments on the path itself. There is a pavilion and port-o-potty. Across the creek is a full soccer field.

I really enjoy the lake and the picnic areas. there is an area where its possible to drop boats into the water and its a very kayak friendly place. there are at least two areas at the park that have picnic tables. both designated spots for the picnic tables are covered by a pavilion to ensure that a picnic does not always have to be cancelled because of the rain. on another note, there are trash cans on site and though some might think this should promote less littering, it does not or maybe it does and the trash blows out of the garbage cans. they offer fun games to play with your children or your friends while you walk around the lake. the games are posted on signs that are found on the path that circles the lake. the games promote awareness of surroundings and nature. but, the one thing that is really unfortunate about this place? the geese. there is poop everywhere and you often have to walk looking down so that you dont step in poo. not to mention that they are vicious creatures, especially when they feel threatened and protective of offspring. not a fan.

Nice clean park. Had a few hours in between meetings so I tested out the fishing. The back section further away from parking and houses had better fishing. Bass and blue gill. 3ft of water so bring your shallow crankbait. Purch color on a sunny morning. Shad crank didnt get any bites.

The store was in transition restocking for fall. Some shelves were empty. The staff member that was available was very helpful. No one attend to the line when she would leave to help a customer to find something. She was the reason they got the three stars. Thank you for you assistance.

Walked around the lake with my daughter, sunny and beautiful. The day was nice too.

Nice kayaking (if you have one),walking path, and enjoying parties in near by pavilions with nature. Also a sports and playground near by across the creek bridge by the east entrance parking lot.

Clean, quiet. Not a place to take small children unless you are going to supervise at all times as the playground is close to the water.

Only gripe is thats is a super pressured lake for fishing. Great place to enjoy a walk or bike ride. Kayaking in the lake is great too

Such a peaceful community space for enjoying nature with our dog, and grandkids. 3 year old grandson loves the play equipment. Shelters for group picnics are very nice.

Calm and peaceful. Plenty of benches and places to rest. An old historic flag pole helps keep pace count.

Had a wonderful walk. The Geese and Mallard ducks were proficient and interesting to watch. All in all it was a beautiful stroll in a beautiful park.

Enjoyed brunch and Bingo with senior adults with Bloomington Parks and Rec program. Nice community building with small kitchenette. Pretty lake setting.

A very nic trail circles a lovely small lake. It appears fishing anf canoing are allowed. The lake has some wildlife making their homes in it. There are well maimtsined portopotties.

Fairly quiet most of the time. can be somewhat dirty unfortunately.

We love this park! There is also a venue there for special events but you need to reserve through Normal Parks and Recreation.

Cool park with a good amount of outdoor grills, trash, bathrooms, and shaded area. Take a run on the trail, or fish in the lake.

This park is pretty big. It has a lake (Im not sure if its actually considered a lake, but seems bigger than a pond) with a walking trail that goes all around it, a few shelters with tables, a play ground and soccer and baseball fields.

Too much geese poop in the grass you couldnt play with the kids
