Lovely trail, not strenuous at all. Great sight seeing. Trail ends at a nice little clearing by the water, great for a little break and some stretches before heading back.

Scenic, short but challenging walk down to the shore of Lake Monroe. Parking is very limited and is restricted to a designated area.

This is a really nice, well marked trail. My watch said that the trail is about 1.1 miles one way, so 2.2 miles total. There are some hills but nothing too unbearable, it took about 30 minutes one way with some stops to enjoy the scenery along the way. The end has some beautiful views of Lake Monroe as well as a place for a fire or to hang some hammocks. I definitely recommend this trail!

Great hike after a light dusting of snow.I first came across the peninsula while boating in the summer and made a mental note to come back. Its a nice, easy hike not too far from town with some great views on any day.

Great hike in Bloomington! Dogs always love it, and it’s equally beautiful at sunrise as it is at sunset. I know it would be difficult to add doggy bag bins along the way, but that would be a plus in the future.

This is inside of a residential neighborhood, so you do have to be mindful that there are people walking on the road with their pets and such. Also, there are only 7 or 8 parking spots. If the lot is full DO NOT park elsewhere. You might be towed. The homeowners had a lot of vandalism and traffic damage from people coming to the trail, to the point Sycamore Land Trust board have had to hire security to monitor this trail.

Its still a beautiful hike in February. Lots of big, beautiful homes in the area too.

Beautiful trail on Lake Monroe. Will warn that there are hills along this trail that will get you breathing hard! When I went this early summer the water level of the lake overtook the end of trail but Im assuming its fine now.

Beautiful walk. Beware during wet weather; trail muddy and slippery in spots. Somewhat significant climbs, especially when wet. Railroad gravel would improve traction immeasurably. Stunning and hardly surpassed when dry.

One of our favorite trails in the Bloomington area. An easy walk out and back along a ridge with great views of Lake Monroe. About 2.2 miles for the round trip.

Short hike to a beach. No camping. Dogs must be on leash. Lots of dead catfish on the beach. Big ones.

Fantastic short hike. A tiny bit hilly, but nothing a person who has done hiking before cant handle. The views are really nice, and the trail is well maintained. Keep in mind that theres only 8 parking spots, and if you get there and the lot is full, youre basically out of luck. That being said, this is a little known treasure.

Beautiful views. Wide and well maintained trail (tho for anyone with mobility challenges the first access trail is very narrow single track).

Such a nice quiet locale. I like it for a brief hike, or a picnic on the beach.

Adam Kure, based on your photo you were off-trail. Please stay on the path to minimize the erosion and damage to native plants.
