Always nice to visit! Some lovely walking trails around as well. Some of the markers were a little hard to see, but we had gone shortly after a bunch of leaves had fallen so thats just a part of living in the natural world.Great place to visit in the spring to look at the pond!

The chief of the temple was one of top 3 most influential religious leaders back in China ( Qing hai) in 1990s according to a video on YouTube. The temple will / should be a well known site soon in the states /Canada. I am sure!

We found this little gem while visiting Bloomington and found it too be fascinating, educational and beautiful. My daughter was having a rough morning and after spending a couple of hours here meditating, walking around and enjoying the grounds she was in a much calmer state of mind. We would go again just to sit, think and pray.

Quiet. That is the literal essence of this place, and you really cant find a place like it. The monks and those who care for the ground are great people, and everyone is interested in continuing to progress down the path of enlightenment and self betterment. Give it a try for certain; even if it doesnt end up being your thing, I severely doubt anyone could ever have a poor time here. Zen and Buddhism done right, in the Midwest of the U.S. . Who would have ever thought?

Brought my friend from out of town here for a different experience in Bloomington. The monastery is beautiful and peaceful. The employees/workers are very friendly in the gift shop. The grounds are beautiful to walk around on a summer day.A lovely and peaceful get-away from the town. There are several beautiful pieces to check out and offer opportunities to learn about Tibetan culture.

Such a peaceful and tranquil place thats a great center for learning. Took a day trip here as a small getaway and I was not disappointed, the monks are super nice as well when we thought we were intruding on something they were doing, they encouraged us to sit with them and we were given a small talk on the history of the Temple and the ideology of Buddhism itself. Really cool place to go and see if youre stuck in Indiana and want to go somewhere thats different.

This is a sacred space that is open to people of all beliefs and paths of life. All are welcome to walk around and look at all the Tibetan symbology and take in their culture. The grounds are beautiful. Theres an excellent traditional Tibetan cultural gift shop on site. Definitely worth taking an hour or two on a nice day to walk around and take it all in

This is my favorite place to connect with people and my spirit. On sunday morningsand Wednesday evenings there are teachings (dharmas), afterwards if you wish therr is a break for lunch which is sometimes served at the monastery. dharma runs an hour and a half ,. lunch about the same. Last there is a prayer session with the monks beautiful, musical, relaxing, chanting. The enlightening lesson and conversation with those attending always restores my sense of balance ,if Ive been over taxed and stressed this experience refreshes me. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, there is no charge for being a part of this experience. Check ot out.

NO review at this time ... only a message.LISTEN TO THIS MESSAGE I WRITE ... INTO HOAGLAND DID ARRIVE ...A monkey carrying a great message of importance did arrive into the foreign tribe with the message. The monkey understood this tribe to be nearly blind and so used simple vibrations to get their attention. The foreign tribe recognized the vibrations and were stunned and frightened and instead of listening to the message ran off the foreign monkey. The monkey is a man coming into other men, who are so blind and yet so simple, they have even in their blindness on the spot, banned simple monkey language. Awake to truth ... INTO YOUR TEMPLE DID ARRIVE ... a monkey with message of great important. And so was ejected this monkey.  Let truth be spoken. Satnam.CALL TOGETHER YOUR LEADERS ... LISTEN TO, SEE, INTEPRET THIS MESSAGE OF IMPORTANCE ... or send me away like your brothers ... so that I might find humans who dont just pretend to be on the path of enlightenment but who are ...
