This is a neat place they have all sorts of activities. Its not just a zoo theres also a water park and a mini golf area there as well. They have a lake where you can rent canoes and paddle boats and fish. Also they have trails to walk in a few different pavilions with picnic tables. just to enjoy the outdoors.

This zoo is a huge disappointment. The bigger animals cages are much too small compared to the size they actually need to be comfortable. It’s sad to see the poor condition of some of the confinement’s. The Alligator area is a perfect example of this.At $7 for adult tickets they definitely overcharge especially when all their indoor areas are closed right now.

Look let me tell y’all something about this Zoo!!! It’s needs to be closed down! The animals are all sleep & look dead, it’s beyond depressing! I don’t know if they drugged the animals or they all on Ritalin! This place is outdated! Guess what the most exciting animal was when I went? A turtle! That’s right! A turtle! Trust me! Save your money & time! You better off going to the lake & skip rocks than attend this place!

This was my first time to visit the Miller Park Zoo. It is a small zoo good for an afternoon visit. My family and I decided to take a day trip to visit here. It has some cool animals. Our favorite part was probably the Wallaby area. There is a path you walk on with a short knee high wooden fence. The Wallaby aren’t in cages. They are out roaming around. Very cool to see and be that close to them. I also like that they had a small petting area with some goats and such. It’s worth a visit.

The staff here has always been friendly and the zoo has a good selection of exhibits given its size. I only took away a star because there are other nearby zoos with more exotic animals, but I understand thats not an easy thing to come by. Overall, for the price its a decent zoo and a really fun park with the splash pad and playground nearby.

Took us maybe 30min to walk through. Yes kids like animals but. The place seems low on funds and workers. Animals seemed depressed being alone. they have small habitat that were not the cleanest. Alot over growns weeds, dirty waters, etc. Was there hour half went to park side as well did not see one worker doing any ground work or working on anmals habitats. Putput greens are covered in leaves and sticks plant life well ober grown there too

Very nice smaller zoo! Enough so in some areas it feels more up close than most! In a safe way. Kids love it, I enjoyed it wasnt crowded with hoards of people, staff are friendly, happy to chat. The biggest animals here are the tiger and snow Leopard, beautiful! Cute smaller animals, birds, and 2 bald Eagles, as big as my 4yr old. No concessions, just vending machines, but it wont take all day long to go through. Picnic areas, in and out of the zoo, play area, and splash pad.

Pros - Reasonably priced season pass, plenty of world class animals (snow leopard, tiger, albino gator), well kept grounds, accessible parking, friendly staff, nice and close playground and splash pad. Cons - tiny bit small which could be a pro for some. We always have a great time and the kiddos see most of the animals and have a blast. Thanks Miller Park.

Love the Zoo, but a word of warning to those that might want to buy their tickets on through the google link: VIATOR IS BASED OUT OF LONDON. This means that you may be charged an international fee. I did not know this until I had a fee pop up later that next week for 57 cents. Not a huge deal, but it should be made more known.

A fun little zoo that’s good for spending the afternoon at then venturing over to the park to finish the day off. They’ve got just enough animals to keep the young ones interested and being a smaller zoo you won’t wear yourself out slogging around it all day. They’ve got a carousel and a gift shop as well.

All of the 1 to 3 out of 5 star reviews are not cutting it. This is a very reasonable priced zoo. That being said, its close to the Bloomington area and its great having something so fun and cheap to do on bored days! It has a lot of animals, and even a new alligator exhibit coming soon! Its on the smaller side, but that doesnt matter! Its awesome! I loved it. They have a photo booth for $5.00, gift shoppe, a carousel for 1.75 and various feeding stations for goats and ducks for .50 cents each. Again, I loved the zoo. Alot of people said the park next to it is AWESOME, we didnt have time to go to it, but we will next time! :) and the animals were out and about. It wasnt lame, we saw alot of every animal. The flamingos we were able to get very up close and personal with and I loved that!

Honestly this isnt a big enough facility for the amount of animals they have here. I was by no means a vegan the one time I went here for a brews at the zoo event, and just felt sad seeing the animals in such small enclosures. A seal spent the whole time staring at a concrete wall in the pool (I hear theyve changed to reptiles in that area now). Cannot in good conscience recommend it for an animal lover.

We always have a great time at Miller Park Zoo! Make sure you have quarters! You can feed the goats, as well as the ducks/swans. Oh and there is a cool penny smash memorobilia machine, it takes 2 quarters and 1 penny. You have to pay for the carasoul ride when you pay for admission, dont forget! Same with the budgie bird room, its pretty cheap though--under $3.No food really so eat before you go, or bring your own snacks, but remember not to litter please!

This is a small zoo but we had a great time here!BEWARE: this turkey jumps out of its fence and wanders around as the zookeeper said. I think its name was Tom. Its harmless and very beautiful to see up close and brought a lot of excitement for sure!Other highlights: We witnessed Raja the tiger roar. The meerkat was awfully cute. These two monkeys were really playing and having a great time! We also saw some animals very upclose which was different because at the Brookfield Zoo, they seem to hide in the back a lot. :)

I want it said, my 4 stars instead of 5 comes solely because its a small zoo. It is a great experience for what it is. They have a wonderful old carousel in the middle for small children that need a break (get tickets before you enter). They hosted baby snow leopards at one time and have some really nice upclose views of their rain forest exhibit and a few giant tortoises. At one time the family pass would get you in free or discounted to other nearby zoos too. I do not know if that is still the case but it was a very nice perk.

For a smaller zoo there are a lot of great animals. I love the tiger. Wallaby walk is pretty cool, Ive never seen anything like it. This is a fun little zoo. Our kids enjoyed it. The animals are very close but the price is a little high for the small amount of zoo it is. It is cool that they have a tiger and snow leopard when it is a smaller zoo. Its rare to see big cats like that in a small zoo. Plan time to spend in the amazing park in front of the zoo if you have kids. If you go in the summer bring a change of clothes or swim gear because they have a fantastic splash pad. The kids had just as much fun as the park and its free.
