Good for short walks by the river, a big empty field for kids to play in, a nice trail on a cliff just above the river. Parking can fill up kinda easy... But still, 5 stars.

This place offers locals a great place to enjoy nature, take a walk, or go for a nice cool swim on a hot day. I also met some serious looking fly fishermen in the parking lot, so the fishing might be good there too. Its family and dog friendly with lots of activity on the weekends. Only bummer can be finding a parking spot as the parking lot is very tiny. Better to ride a bike if you live nearby. Wonderful, beautiful place.

I love the park. I went there because parking for the trail further down river has been eliminated. Guess that section is only for people who live along the trail

Wow! How beautiful is Bend?!?Sawyer Park sits right off of O.B. Riley Road. And once you enter the park you certainly feel like you’ve just stepped away from all of the hustle bustle and busyness of life. There is ample parking, plenty of picnic tables, chances to see deer and bird watch, and to hear the sound of the calming Deschutes River as it rushes by.There is s also a bridge that carries you over to the side where you can pick up the Deschutes River Trail that offers miles of opportunities.

One of my favorite small parks in town. The trails and surrounding areas are well maintained and theres beautiful rock features around the park. A larger grassy area opens up after going up the trail past the bridge. Great place to take the dogs or just go on a walk!My only complaint is that the local JW cult preach there often but theyre pretty easy to ignore

Been coming here since I was a kid. Lots of lizards, snakes, fish, minnows, crawdads, birds, chipmunks, you name it!Walking paths along the river, couple slow deep areas for swimming, early spring, take a few steps, and baby snakes all take off from hiding.High rock areas for relaxing or beautiful pictures. Some rasberry plants for fresh eating.Great family park. Good place for company picnics as well, open grass areas and picnic tables.

I was surprised when I found this part, just walking to work. Its barely a couple of hundred feet off the road yet strikingly beautiful. Its got a nice bridge over a big river probably decent for fishing. And on either side it has vast trail systems they can keep you busy for hours. Plenty of picnic benches for obvious purposes enable parking for a good-sized. Overall beautiful, Id say check out the photosphere pictures theyre awesome.

This park is within city limits but you almost cant believe it. I am very glad I grabbed my camera before heading over, I ended up taking 60 pictures of birds and flowers. In all I took almost 100 pictures in little over an hour. There are a few points you can even fly fish with a permit of course.Only draw back is the parking lot because I am not the best as parallel parking but there are tons of spots across the street as well.

A small and very well kept park on the north side of Bend. We stopped by to use the facilities while walking on the other side of the Deschutes River. The car park was packed so we were guessing that many local use it as a parking sport while doing the same thing that we did, walking the river trail!

This park was the perfect picnic spot. Quite a few picnic tables in the shade of the trees and some chipmunks joined us as well. We even went down for a dip (literally our feet as this is not a good spot for swimming) in the river after lunch. Enjoyed walking along the large rocks that line the banks of the river. I would definitely visit this park again while in Bend.
