AMAZINGLY beautiful place... My experience was:Reservations line = 1 star :-( Young lady was not happy to help, wouldnt honor the rate on their own website (told me it didnt exist, and so I should go to website and book it myself... so I did, 20% less than she was charging me).Front desk = 3.5, they were mostly just OK, nothing special, but Dan from NY was GREAT and extremely helpfulRoom: 4 stars; honestly, not amazing in itself, just OK for the $, except for the AMAZING view from the private balcony!!! That makes it over the top beautiful- sunset over Three Sisters was breathtakingProperty = Beyond beautiful; literally as beautiful of a setting as Ive ever seen

** update, I left my sonicare toothbrush there and the hotels says they dont have it. Ive called head of housekeeping several times and left a voicemail and I never got a call back. THIS IS SHOCKING! not the service level for a 4 star hotel. Not even for a 3 star...This place was a HUGE disappointment. Upon check-in we went to our “Mountain View” room which we had paid extra for. Please look at our so called Mountain View. It’s the view of the fence. The bathroom and shower was dirty and smelled like urine and was dirty even though it had been “extra sanitized”.The following day we made an appointment to go to the pool and use the hot tub and once we arrived we realized the hot tub wasn’t working and was freezing. While calling to make an apt no one ever told us this which was disappointing. It was a series of disappointing experiences and not worth the price point. This is classic case of a hotel trying to be more than it is.

Visited August 2020. Pronghorn Resort is beautiful and probably appealing to avid golfers with two beautiful courses. There is only one bike trail. Pools are clean, but pool drink service very poor. Restaurants are currently very limited and if you want a table you must make reservations well in advance. Their Cascada restaurant food was acceptable, but expensive. Other eating options are about 40 min. away. No microwave in room. Room was not very clean. Overall, not a good value for the high expense.

Overall: We had a wonderful stay at Pronghorn! The grounds are beautiful and we found all the staff + service to be pretty good. Front desk staff was welcoming and helpful. We called a week prior to request an early check in and while the person on the phone couldn’t guarantee that, which seems ridiculous, we were able to check in about 2.5 hours early. We read reviews and took note of all the changes Pronghorn made because of COVID so we knew a lot of luxuries/services you’d normally get wouldn’t happen, such as having someone take your bags to your room, having toiletries and such in the room, having housekeeping come, having the mini bar stocked. The Food: Cascada is pretty much the only restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It seems like they have a brand new restaurant crew. We were patient and this didn’t negatively affect us but they could use training. First night dinner, I had the Bolognese and my partner had the Steak Frites and both tasted incredible and were cooked well. There was also live music and this made our night. Breakfast was the breakfast sandwich, sausage links and potatoes- all delicious & the serving size of a side of potatoes is huge/shareable. Second dinner we split the Wedge Salad which was huge and delicious and the Chef’s Special Seafood Pasta which was just ok.The Adults-Only Pool: We made a reservation for the pool for 2-3:45 (yes you have to call daily at 8am to book a time) but we found the pool empty and were able to stay longer as there weren’t that many guests there. Plenty of space to social distance, umbrellas for shade and the pool attendant cleans and sprays some type of disinfectant every 2 hours. However on our 2nd day at the pool, there was a crew doing construction right outside the gate which is counter to the entire point of a relaxing quiet pool. The room: It’s nothing to write home about. It was clean and the bed and pillows are comfortable. The balcony was great but the bathroom was small, laid out weird and not as sexy/luxurious as you’d expect at a place like this. Fireplace in room is nice touch although we didn’t use it. There is no microwave in the room- not sure if that is COVID related or aesthetic related but it was inconvenient and annoying. The view from room 221 includes the adult pool and fire pit, the very cool ghost tree forest, part of golf course and when OR isn’t under fire haze, the mountains but sadly we couldn’t see them. Unfortunately, we heard A LOT of foot traffic from the room above us and A LOT of noise from the room next to us, disappointing. The Spa: I got the Glow body treatment. Heather was my provider and she was friendly and did a fantastic job. I sat in the eucalyptus steam room and enjoyed it and thought the locker room with showers were nice. The Golf: My partner golfed 18 holes on the public/Nicklaus course and said it’s a beautiful and challenging course.(The recent reviews are terrible) There are a handful of things left to be desired but I do think Pronghorn is doing their best to operate during post-COVID times so if you can make some concessions and plan ahead, you should have a great time here.Tips to make your stay better:1. Upon CheckIn request bath robes, extra towels, extra toiletries, extra coffee2. Make reservation at Cascada for all of your meals (it’s the only restaurant open other than the takeaway spot on the golf course) or be prepared to leave the resort3. Call each day at/after 8am to make reservations for the pool4. Make sure to book a room on the 3rd floor and on the backside of the lodge otherwise you’ll be looking at the parking lot and listening to a lot of other guest’s noise. To end: We would check out the other similar resorts in Bend before staying here again.

I’m sure this is a fantastic place, but unfortunately PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED - even though the Google Maps app says it is pet-friendly.Their marketing team also does not have anything on the website clarifying that the only pet-friendly accommodations available are not in the lodge/hotel but in multi room vacation rentals off-site that have a five night minimum (required: Friday through Friday stay). Very frustrating to wait on the line and talk to four people just to realize what could’ve been obviously handled by the marketing department (updating their website to show a “policies” page - including their pet policy - like every other hotel/resort in the world). We will look forward to visiting someday when our 10 lb rescue dog dies (12+ years from now??) and he does not keep us from staying here. In the meantime, hopefully they will update their website so people don’t have to waste their time (and the staff’s time) learning that they are NOT in fact pet-friendly.

The grounds outside are beautiful but clearly because of the residents that live there. Despite covid, the lodge was full. Our room was not clean and there was no mention that only ONE restaurant on site was open. If you didnt make a reservation days in advance; good luck to you. We tried to order take out but were hung up on THREE times. We finally had to walk to the front desk to complain and they kindly ordered for us. For $300 dollars per night I expected ALOT more. If you plan to go be sure to book a restaurant reservation well in advance or plan to drive 30 minutes one way for food everyday. If you dont plan on playing golf there isnt much else to do. I would advise not spending $300 dollars or more per night on a hotel that is really an over priced Best Western.

Pretty nice resort/real estate company. Bike trail parallels the properties they have for sale though only 1/3 are built as when you buy the property you pick a building plan. Overall great place to stay for a weekend and very accommodating.

I loved the hotel. The room was very clean and the pool was great for my friends and I. The only problem was the restaurant. We came here for a birthday weekend. Three of us ended up getting the pronghorn burger and one got something else. The three who ate the burger got food poisoning which ended in vomit and stomach pains. The next day we decided to get breakfast. I got the steak and egg Benedict. The steak came out RAW. Not medium rare. Completely uncooked. So glad I didn’t consume that!!

I have never stayed in a resort before. I had some extra money so my boyfriend and I decided to splurge and stay here. I am currently here as I write this. My first indication that I regretted booking a night here was that I could never get a hold of the front desk; it just rang and rang and finally some nice lady from reservations was able to answer my questions. She also kindly arranged an early check in. When we got to our room, it was different than I imagined based on the pictures on the website. The shower is super small, definitely handicap accessible, and I was expecting a bigger shower area. Also, there was no microwave or mini refrigerator. Hello, for spending 300 dollars a night, Id expect these things, especially seeing this is a 4 star hotel. Because of Covid-19, no housekeeping but if you need anything, theyll either bring it to you or you can go to the desk. Last thing about the room, the air conditioning was super hard to get to work. We had to call the front desk to help us cause our room was hot, not to mention it was like 102 degrees outside as the highest. The air now seems to be working. A Guest Services Representative said earlier in the day that hed try and track down a mini fridge but it never happened. We did get an ice bucket from the front desk, and the ice machine is on the second floor. The bed is super comfy. The pools and hot tubs made spending the 300 dollars worth it. Im blessed that they are open because most pools are shut down. The staff over at the trail blaze building were sweet and friendly gals. We hope to rent the electric bikes tomorrow. Apparently, theres a 5 mile bike trail. The electric bikes are 35 dollars per hour, per person. There are other bikes to rent that are cheaper in price. Even have those attachments for children to sit in.We ate outside at their Cascada restaurant. The food was outstanding. A little pricy but it was good, as well as our server.I was going to stay another night, but seeing it lacks basic room necessities for me personally, we are just staying the one original night (tonight). Dont forget to ask about the hotel robes. They are nice, and if you want to buy one, it costs 95 dollars. The hotel pool was okay. The heater in the hot tub wasnt working so we hopped on over to the family pool. Way more fun, and its designed uniquely. They have two nice hot tubs. The one for the adults has a nice waterfall view. It wasnt crowded either and everyone was nice, on the family side. The girl who ran the snack shack was awesome; she had great customer service. They have 2 golf courses and while we dont golf, they looked nice.We have a spectacular view of the mountains Very beautiful at sunset.I give them a 2 star because I feel mislead by their advertising on their own website. Also, there is no curated mini bar.Beware of the location. While absolutely beautiful, I hear it takes 30 minutes to get to town for gas or a store.

The property is gorgeous, the views are spectacular, its very close to downtown bend for easy access to dining and shopping. My actual rating would be 3.5 though. The rooms while having comfy beds and nice TVs had one of the worst air conditioning units Ive ever encountered while traveling. It wont let you go lower then 68 degrees, it ended up being colder outside then in the room and even after being given the access to code to manually adjust settings there is no way to set the fan to always be on, so the room kept heating up, then the fan would kick on and cool it down then repeat. On top of that our room was right next to the patio area and other guest just dont care how close they are to your room. Had to listen to loud conversations until at least midnight (when Im writing this review). So just some things to keep in mind when booking. But as I said the staff was wonderful and pleasent and the scenery almost makes up for the shortcomings of the room.

Enjoyed the junior suite, which was perfect for a couple’s retreat. Did have a strong scent (woody/sage) and was a bit frustrating to locate things in the dark. The restaurant was closed for renovations so traveling 30 minutes to a restaurant was a bit frustrating as we weren’t feeling what they had to offer in the alternative restaurant (the trailhead). But other than that it was absolutely beautiful there.

We pre-paid for three night to stay at this resort. We weren’t given any option of changing our reservation after Covid happened. They do not clean your room unless you request it and we were not informed of this in advance. We left out our service please sign both days and had to ask at the front desk for fresh towels. We also had trouble regulating the temperature in our room. We called the front desk and none of their suggestions helped. Also the front desk closed at six pm and when I tried calling there was no answer. Also frustrating was the fact that EVERYTHING except golf, the Spa and one restaurant were closed but we weren’t given anything for our inconvenience. My son in law had to place the ice bucket under the leaking toilet in their room because they couldn’t call maintenance. We have stayed many times at Pronghorn in the original rentals and never had a problem.

One of the upstairs bedrooms does NOT have a closet and does NOT have anywhere to put your clothes - no dresser, no bureau, nowhere. Also, the bedroom doors not have a bathroom so, you either have to go into the other guests bedroom to use their bathroom or you need to go downstairs to use the bathroom. The buildings are beautiful and the entire setting from the bridge that crosses a roaring canal to the fountains to the golf courses and views are second to none.Even if you are not staying there ask the gate keeper if you may drive through the resort. They will certainty say yes. And if you get a chance ask about the lava tube they discovered under the new part of the hotel.
