We did not actually end up getting to stay at this condo. We were notified the afternoon before we were leaving that the condo owners had decided to quarantine themselves in the condo so our reservations were canceled. Our bags were packed and the dog was on the way to the Kennel. Plans had been made for the activities we were going to do around town and the afternoon before they called and canceled us. We were told we had to give them 30 days notice to cancel and we did not even get 24 hours notice before we were to leave our house. The lady that called us felt terrible to be calling us but said there was nothing she could do about it. She said she would forward all of the info to higher people up than her and we would hopefully hear from them. We have heard nothing. We did get our money back. I do not consider that much, since our entire trip was ruined over this. We picked this condo because of location and what they had to offer. There were many other places we could have chosen. Anyone thinking of booking a place here, go with the other place since these condos are obviously not guaranteed. I did give 2 stars instead of none because of the couple times we did talk to staff before we got canceled, they seemed very helpful.

We didnt actually stay at the Mt. Bachelor Village Resort, but instead had our wedding reception there! Hank, who is in charge of managing events at the resort was AMAZING. A week before my wedding, which was set to be completely outside on September 28, SNOW showed up in the forecast. I made several calls to resorts, hotels, breweries and other places in an effort to have a backup plan for actual snow, although I firmly believed the forecast would change. Hank was one of the people I called, and he was totally willing to work with me, with only one weeks notice!! Still, I waited until Thursday before the wedding to make the call to bring the reception inside and Hank did the rest. He coordinated with my wedding planner to get all of the vendors everything they might need to pull this off, he let us use some of his decorations and chairs for the ceremony, he found a projector for my sisters to use during their speech and was present at the resort the whole time to help guests with coats, help vendors move furniture and make sure that everything was running smoothly. I didnt get a chance to actually stay at the resort, but I can tell you that I will for sure be returning! The space we used for the reception was indoor/outdoor and the outside part was heated! We had the dance floor and DJ outside, where we also had cocktail hour. It was warm and out of the snow (which continued all day long) but it was still outside for most of it! We had dinner and speeches and dessert inside the event space and it could not have been more magical. If youre looking for a great reception space - this is the place. But even more so, Hank deserved MVP. He impressed my dad so much with his help that my dad just kept saying people like that restore my faith in humanity. Seriously, if youre looking for a great place to get married, have a reception, get photos done, have a party and have everyone centrally located (there are tons of rental houses!) this is the place! Have Hank help you because he is amazing!!

We have owned a condo at MBV resort for approximately 5yrs. We have always enjoyed the resorts location, amenities, and friendly and responsive staff. The resort grounds and facilities are very well maintained and it is a nice relaxing place to spend time. The resort is located close to both the 14th street shopping/dining corridor and the Old Mill District. Since assuming operations of the resort, Meredith Lodging has done an exceptional job. Their staff are extremely helpful and professional and we have always appreciated their work.

This was our 20th year coming here and while we super enjoy it for the family time and the view from our condo, in the 20 years that we have came and owned, there have been little to no updates at all. The dining chairs are normally a light oak and the arms of them are black from being dirty. Also, check in is not until 5pm and so you lose an entire day of your vacation which really sucks.

We stayed here for our trip to Bend based on the high reviews and couldnt have been happier, we stayed in a river ridge one bedroom suite and couldnt have been more blown away by all the amenities and accommodations. Full sized kitchen with everything you need to make a great meal (Im a chef so believe me when I say everything) gas grill on the deck along with a great hot tub to enjoy the sounds of the Deschutes river, great staff as well. Definitely reccomend to anyone looking for a fully furnished house to stay in while on vacation.

Mount Bachelor Village Resort is one of my favorite places to stay in Bend. The location simply cannot be beat! It feels like all the best that Bend has to offer is so easily accessible from the resort. I have stayed in several of the River Ridge units and the views of the river below are fantastic. You would never guess you are so close to town! There are so many great amenities at this property - I particularly love the complimentary cruiser bikes and fresh brewed (local!) coffee in the lobby. Ill be back to stay again!

I booked a condo at Mt. Bachelor Village Resort in early January. Our son and his fiance planned to be married there on June 13, 2020. Due to Covid-19 and the restrictions on large gatherings, Mt. Bachelor informed my future Daughter-in-law they would not be able to hold there wedding there which cancelled their wedding at that venue. I called the resort to cancel our room as we will not be traveling from Wisconsin to Bend, OR for a wedding. I was informed we would be charged various cancellation fees and sales taxes on those fees that totaled $173.84. This cancellation penalty under the circumstances beyond anyones control is outrageous.

Last night was a good example of Meredith Lodging extremely poor management operations. About 8:00 PM we called the front desk at Mt. Bachelor Village to report to them that we had a mouse scurrying around the living room. Someone somewhere in Oregon answered the call. After explaining where we were calling from, his only recommendation was to walk over to the front office and see if anyone there might be able to help. We caught the mouse our self.An hour later mouse number 2 came out for a visit. Second call. Second time the fellow had absolutely no idea of what to do.So we caught the second mouse. 15 hours later ans still no contact from management about the mouse invasion. Not too good of jobGlad it was not a fire, or broken water line.frank morris

Where to even begin?!? The moment you walk in the door, the sweeping views take your breath away! Sure, I saw them online. I knew they were going to be nice... But experiencing them in person is a whole different story. Talk about EPIC! Everything about the resort was fantastic. We rented a huge, 3-bedroom River Ridge condo. Every inch of the place was spotless, and cozy. The kitchen was well appointed. The beds were crazy comfortable. But that view... It really takes the cake! The hot tub overlooking the Deschutes River didnt suck, either. So nice to relax and unwind after a busy day. The nights we stayed, the sky was clear with endless stars and a full moon. It was just stunning. And something not captured in the photos is the SOUND! I dont want to spoil it for you, but the sound of that river roaring below is truly awesome. We took full advantage of it by sleeping with the door open and had such peaceful nights sleep... Beats the sound machine, thats for sure!! Now we are looking for any and every excuse to come back for another visit! So, see you next month?

Central Location - CHECK!The home sits right next to the Deschutes River Trail which provided easy access to hop out for a quick or long walk which was so peaceful and quite stunning. We also utilized the cruiser bikes from the main office and rode around down to the Old Mill District (10 mins bike ride), which our kids LOVED! They also said their favorite part of the entire trip was the game rooms they have in the main office building. They literally did. not. want. to. leave! The minimal staff on hand at the resort were all pleasant . The hot tub and outdoor facilities were well maintained. During the reservation process it was stated that reservations needed to be paid in full 30 days in advance, emails with confirmation were sent and each email stated that 3 days prior to checking all information would be processed. During the reservation call(s) and the following email(s) here was no review of policies or reference to their written policies, specifically cancellation or change in dates. No one on the call staff was helpful, and stated there were no managers to speak with. We were told over and over again: Everything was on-line. We reserved by phone not online. Poor business practice. That would have warranted 1 star being removed. The other 2 stars being removed from the rating: one room was not available to be used due to late check out, and another room- not equivalent in value was given. The second reservation room was supposed to be a loft apartment, there was no loft. It was a one bedroom with a pull out couch. This accommodation was just recently renovated, the fire place was on and would not shut off, the temp in the room was over 85*. The maintenance team had to physically come in and turn off the heating system. The bathroom: the toilet paper holder was pulled out of the wall on one side and kept falling onto the floor. The bath tub- though beautiful- was inaccessible due to the knee-wall being 3.5 feet tall. with out a step up and over. No handicap bars for assistance either. The pull out bed was so old that the mattress sagged below the frame on the head side. It was not usable for an adult. There was old coffee left in the coffee maker. The third reservation was supposed to have a kitchenette, but instead there was just a bathroom and a bedroom. On top of that the keys (old fashioned style which was nice) did not work. The new playground was nice. We did use the hot tub at night, on the first night there were 6 people there who were not guests. The maintenance gentleman did ask if they were residence or guests, they blatantly said they were let in by a friend who was not with them but could give no actual proof. They were told okay, just a few more minutes if they are not here, ends up they made up the name and were joking about it. As a parent this made me very uneasy. Not the resort experience we have experienced elsewhere, and if I was an owner of one of the units I would start asking questions.

Great Labor Day weekend stay at this resort. I was going to book initially online and got a better rate by calling in and booking with a live person! nice, well-kept resort in a great location only about 1.5 miles from downtown and easy access to the bike trails. Check in was easy and about an hour early. Very friendly staff from booking to front desk. Pool was great. They have bikes that we didnt use but I believe we were told they were free. Nice size hotel-style room was spacious and clean, if a little outdated. Only minor complaint is wifi is worthless. (I did not ask staff to address it, so maybe could have had it fixed?) I will stay again and highly recommed as an excellent alternative to a regular hotel!

Mt. Bachelor Village is a great location, on the Deschutes River, just 5 minutes from the Old Mill District. Quick access to Deschutes River trail and Mt. Bachelor. But with the great location, they need to up their game - the pillows were disastrous (seriously - invest in some new pillows for goodness sake, something with a bit of structure), wifi was sketchy, and the room we were in was devoid of any charm (single bedroom with no view, little light and air, noisy A/C). If you stay there, spend the extra dollars and get the suite that overlooks the Deschutes. Otherwise, youre buying the equivalent of a Super 8/Motel 6. Nice pool and amenities on-site, access to Bend Athletic Club is a great bonus.

The lighting in the living-room area is very poor, There is not a single overhead lamp; only one very dim floor lamp. The unit is well-stocked with kitchen utensils and dishes, which were clean. The shower worked well, but it was a plastic unit, far from deluxe. The coffee maker was okay, but only coffee fixings were provided. I asked housekeeping for a pad of paper, and it was provided. There is no restaurant nearby. I did not expect a considerable hike to the Bend Athletic Club for food. A rental car is a necessity, or some means of transportation, because the resort is very far from any local restaurants, etc. It was somewhat challenging for friends to call me, because the voice mail went through a sales menu for the condos on offer, prior to connecting with my room. I would recommend the River Ridge Executive Room with one queen bed for anyone who doesnt mind the lack of nearby services and facilities.
