Gorgeous park nestled just south of Fairhaven. Ample pathways ensure that the park is never too crowded. Once youve hiked in 5 minutes or so youll probably only see a few other folk. Gorgeous trails, bridges, streams, and even a waterfall. Wonderful all year round, absolutely breathtaking in the autumn.
Beautiful walk, easy hike. Burbling creek. Mountain biking. Horseback. Easy access.
Great walk. Saw salmon going upstream. Lots of rain.
The Arroyo Park trailhead is closed with cones in front of it. However, there is two other parking lots nearby. Beautiful creek, boardwalks, and forest. Well maintained trail to Chuckanut Falls. There are plenty of landmarks there, including creeks and huge rocks. There a small waterfall that is part of California Creek. Its ride next to the trail. On the route I took, the trail went along a cliff.
I come here once or twice a week to hike. The trail has mosquitos in some areas, but where in washington doesnt? Lots of places to make a different turn and see something new. Gorgeous river at the beginning.
Amazing jumping off point for the trails in the area.
Dozens of Large Chum Salmon are running in Arroyo park! The park is gorgeous, full of native flora and fauna. The only problem is accesibilty, but seeing as Arroyo basically means Canyon, you have to expect the trails to be steep. A great place for a run and to spend some time appreciating nature.
One entrance closed due to erosion. Otherwise great hiking trails.
Wonderful park to go to!
Great place to bike through
This was a beautiful park aking the side of Bellingham off pioneer highway. It had a creek, bridges little waterfall. Birds, deers. The path was simple, quite space for runners, walkers and we had a few bicycles pass us.It was worth the stop and time we took.
Beautiful trail that crosses Chuckanut creek . Easy to access off Old Samish Way.
A great trail system with plenty of shade for hot days.
Beautiful park to escape the heat of the day.
Lovely trails.
Recently discovered dogs can be off leash in Arroyo park. Great starting point for many trails in the chuckanut area.
Because its a secret forest paradise.
It was nice but there was quite a few people
Easy trail for someone who is not quite up for a big hike. Feels like you are remote but still right near the road. One of the best thing about this park is there never seems to be any trash here. Its either well maintained or people are very respectful.
Scenic little park - I usually go in the mornings and Im usually the only one there! The creek and wood bridge are beautiful and you can access other Chuckanut trails from here as well. Best of all: my dog can join me, untethered by a leash.
Im ashamed Ive lived in northern Washington for a year and have just found out about this park.
Great set of trails
A must see in Bellingham Park system. A easy walk to from Fairhaven. Great views of a larger Padden Creek. With a off lease dog area past the bridge.
Amazing scenery and beauty of the Pacific
Great landscape to wander through.
WaterTrailsShadeThats about it. Parking is sketchy.
Not much of a park. But the trail system around it is nice for taking walks and hikes. Just Watch out for all mountain bikers.
Trailhead to multiple trails. You can spend the entire day out on the trails
Awesome place to hike, trails for all levels
We sealcoated and stripped the apartment complex and the Chuckanut Property management are excellent people to deal with.
Been hiking in the park for over 54 years.Love it.
Really nice place to hike or bike. Mostly covered by trees which is nice in hot summer. Never too busy.
A remote natural landscape in your own back yard. Salmon come up the stream in the fall. Great place for kids and access to Chuckanut Mountain trails.
Awesome trails to meandor with the family. Heavily forested so great hiking spot on hot days.
I had a great time. I went to the tree that fell across the river and created a bridge.
My favorite
Excellent trails for all levels and the trek to Raptors Ridge is magnificent!
This is a nice walk, especially with kids and dogs. There are multiple trails off the main one that you could take .. so depending on what your looking for, your bound to find something. The only thing I can say thats negative is that right now ... there are lots of dead fish in the creek, so its a bit smelly.
Beautiful wooded scenery with trails leading right into Chuckanut Mountain.
Great jumping off point for the interurban trail or Chuckanut mountain trail system.
I love Arroyo park as a launching off area to the greater Chuckanut Mountain trail system. Its not a typical park; no large grassy areas, bathrooms picnic tables etc. If youre looking for that kind of experience Id suggest heading to Fairhaven Park back in Bellingham or Larrabee State Park just down Chuckanut Drive. But if you want a lovely walk on on a wooded trail along a burbling stream Arroyo is a great option.
Beautiful park to explore!
Nice Natural trails for walking and hiking
Gateway to Chuckanut Mountain.
Nice spot.
Love running here
Easy access to the interurban trail.
Great riding and hiking
My kids love this park
Can connect to other Chuckanut trails.
Great hike, follow the rules!
